My wife, daughter and I went here. It was pretty crowded and kind of loud to have an easy conversation. We were able to walk in and were seated right away. We sat inside because it was pretty cool outside and windy. We ordered the smoked mushroom pizza, the bacari fries and the sangria. I thought that everything here was pretty average. read more

Definitely more fresh, succulent fish and meat options at other places. They were still good, but were not the best part of the meal. And I usually expect the most satiating dishes to be the best ones. The magic was in the sauces for the appetizer type dishes. Like for the brussels, beets, and carrots. Okay, Bacari is fun, I just feel like I need to try it again under better circumstances. Loved the vibes! Brick tunnel entrance, moody lighting, all of it was super cute. Unfortunately, it was raining pretty hard...& we were seated outside...and squished between 9 of us... So, I went for my friend's birthday which she had originally made the reservation for 10 but one didn't show. We get there and they seat us at a table with 5 chairs...they questioned her making the reservation for 10 which was weird, she definitely did and I feel like they should be able to see that on their side too? So he manager scrambled to find some more, which we appreciated but wished they had them ready prior. We ended up having to squish pretty tight, no big deal we're all friends and pretty low maintenance. Then it starts pouring, the manager and team were able to grab an extra umbrella which was very sweet and ended up working. Kinda just felt a general attitude towards us while we were there but whatever, we were so grateful for their help! Also our waitress did get our order wrong a few times and forgot to put some things in, we were understanding and patient and there to celebrate so no big deal- totally get it was raining and we had a large party, hectic night. Food was alright, I ordered the ricotta and beet gnocchi, verrrrry cheesy...wouldn't order again but I loved the espress yourself martini! Their menu had so many options and very fair priced! This was a great spot for a group outing. This is a tapas style restaurant with smaller plates meant to be shared. The front of the restaurant is just a small archway with the name that may be hard to miss when you drive by. Once you walk through the little tunnel, it opens up to s little tucked away oasis with all open air seating (some of it is covered). It was a bit chilly, but they do have heaters on the patio. Our service was pretty good until the end of our visit when the restaurant got busy. Still good but definitely slower. Overall, the food was very good. The pork belly was definitely the fan favorite at the table. The stuffed mushrooms were good but they came out of the kitchen quickly and cold. The only item I wouldn't recommend is the shawarma tacos which were a bit dry. Valet parking is available in front of the restaurant. read more

First time at Bacari and we already want to go back. Originally we had came for just drinks but after seeing all the plates we were convinced to try some for ourselves. We had a reservation at 2pm, parking was extremely hard to find, it was a Saturday afternoon so we had to settle for valet parking which was in front of the building. It was frustrating because we were told 10 dollars but once we picked up the car they said it was more. Since we couldn't find parking we were a few minutes late to our reservation but luckily there was a 15 min grace period. Anyways. The aesthetic of this place was beautiful, great vibes and I heard it looks even better at night when the lights are on. Food was delicious and perfect plates to share. Came here for a birthday with friends and had a wonderful time! The outdoor seating area is very aesthetic. We were seated indoors due to a private party using the outside space and it was still cute but very loud. Our server was very congenial and nice and brought out a complimentary birthday dessert! Food was tapas style and we ordered 2-3 dishes per person. Portions we're quite small for the price but it was very fun getting to try a variety of foods. Favorite dishes: Pipelchuma shrimp: spicy and flavorful! The shrimp were fresh and cooked perfectly. Beef cheek with polenta: tender and moist. Ricotta and beet gnocchi: sauce was more lemony than I expected but went well with the ricotta and chimichurri drizzled on top Not so great: Sea bass: great flavor, but fish was very over cooked and slightly tough. Brussel sprouts: crispy, but very average tasting and nothing special Hunters mac and cheese: pasta was over cooked and sauce was kind of clumpy and very mild tasting Overall, I had a great time eating here with friends. We spent around $200 for 4 people. There was a slight hiccup with the bill when our waiter accidentally charged us 2x for each dish and we were confused but caught it and he quickly corrected it. Also while I was here there was an earthquake and they have all these glasses above the bar, they were vibrating like crazy. Pretty fun time ngl. The service is what made our time here so fun. Came by myself for a quick snack during an outing, and then decided to have a drink with my neighbor. We were here for quite some time and they were SO hospitable with us. They have an all you can drink option which I don't exactly suggest but it's a good option for your money. The food is really tasty and all the dishes you order are small plates so I suggest ordering a few to fill you up. I ordered the crab cake benedict and the hummus trio. Honestly disappointed by my visit to this Bacari -- I came with a large group for a birthday party. Our reservation was at 8 but they weren't able to seat us until around 8:40 -- left us standing outside in the rain in front of the restaurant. We sit down at not one table but TWO separate tables for our party of 12, very weird they would not just put them together so everyone can sit together. Again, our reservation was for 8pm, but by the time the first course of our pre-fix menu came through it was already 930. The pre-paid "open bar" was very limited -- could not even order a margarita without an upcharge. I thought for $75 minimum per person, we would each get our own dishes. But these people put down five orders of each dish for all 12 of us, so not we all had to split these tiny little plates or not get anything at all! Very absurd. When they put down our starter salad with just a few tiny leaves of lettuce I knew it was going to be a very long night and I would be stopping for more food afterwards. None of the food was bad, per se, but the most memorable dish (probably because it was the most plentiful) was the chicken sliders. Of everything, I really did not want the basic chicken sliders to be the best thing. We had a snapper that was unappetizing to split with so many people as well. There was also a civeche that was mostly cucumbers. The donuts for dessert were pretty dry too. Now it was not my birthday or my choice to come here, but if it was I also probably would have asked to prepay the card or make sure my attendees could easily split the bill. Not the case, and my husband had to put a $1200 bill on his card and have everyone VENMO him because they could not take multiple cards for a large group, though there was obviously plenty of advance notice. look I'm not 22 but I'm not OLD OLD either, but it was L O U D in there! Like I could not hear the person next to me talking the whole time. My Apple Watch sent me 5 notifications that it was a loud environment. Crazy packed and hard to get through, they should probably not overbook people in the future. I like the Bacari in silver lake or the one near USC, but this one was a FLOP if I've ever seen one! read more

I returned to Bacari W 3rd before a Hollywood Bowl concert. We sat in the patio and ordered a number of shared plate items that were all delicious. First of all, let me tell you, the Tuscan kale salad, the famous Bacari hamburger, and the crabcake Benedict were mouthwatering! The service was personable as if we were old friends. The timing of the food was impeccable.... Then came dessert. The Hillel donuts and their dipping sauces will light your world on fire! Not to be missed. I've been here a few times. The bacarita is a solid drink and my normal go to. The stuffed mushrooms are delicious and my favorite thing here. Their burrata, salmon, Tripoline pasta are really good as well. The chicken shawarma was terrible, I wouldn't recommend. I didn't like the cauliflower either but they were nice to switch it out for the Brussel sprouts instead which were good. The service has been great each time I've gone. Very attentive staff. The ambience in the garden area is especially nice. I want to go back and try their pizzas. read more

my friends and I were celebrating a birthday here, so we came here for brunch! definitely make a reservation because it was packed when we came! We did street parking but I do believe there is valet parking available. The entrance is a bit hidden and narrow. The tables and chairs were a bit tight when you're sitting on the booth side. They accommodate big parties pretty well, as we saw many groups of 5+ parties seated and coming in as we were dining. Everything here is tapas style and shareable. We also did bottomless mimosas - when they bring out the first round everyone gets their drink in a martini glass and the next rounds after that are served in a pitcher. Our server was really sweet and informative about the menu and gave us many great recommendations! every single dish we ordered was amazing! From the moment we walked in: cozy lighting and a super friendly atmosphere. The food was the real star though. We started with few appetizers - we always shared, rainbow beets, kale salad, scallops, noa's cauliflower, crude, couple pizzas.... perfectly fresh and beautifully plated. For mains, sea bass and iron steak were cooked exactly to perfection: tender, juicy and seasoned. Service was attentive without being intrusive. Our server was knowledgeable about the menu, gave great recommendations, and checked in at the perfect times. We brought our wine Austin Hope and enjoyed the dinner. We left happy and full.
