I see these two star ratings on yelp and I laugh. I have been coming to this place for over 10 years and have never, ever experienced anything one have them have said. Always have been greeted immediately, service spectacular, food always amazing. I wonder if these people have taste bud issues, just can't be satisfied, or possibly the competition? This is without a doubt the BEST Italian restaurant I have been to in Florida and I'm lucky enough to have it in my town of Melbourne! My mother was just visiting my husband and I from the New York/ New Jersey tri-state area and she agrees. That's saying alot! We had a party of six and all tried different dishes and everything we ordered was MAGNIFICENT! Order anything on the menu, you can't go wrong! Our waitress Jennifer was Superb, she picked a delicious bottle of wine for us and went out of her way to make everything perfect! Had no idea Bacco Wine Cafe existed. No out-of-towners here. All locals. That's a good sign! Excellent variety of wines IF you want Italian wine. One thing they could consider is more California wine choices. My wife had the chicken Marsala and I had a special, the veal shank. Both were great. We were a group of ten. Proprietor opened half hour early for us. So kind of him! The food, the wine, the atmosphere, the proprietor were all excellent. I would go back and recommend it highly. read more

Pathetic customer service-- the manager literally shrugged and said, "So what?!" When we asked why we had to return a dish twice for being cold. Snarky and sarcastic does not begin to describe how the owners / managers approach customer complaints--Also, we were told that the bar seating was booked and so we Had to take the small table in the very back. We asked how long until the bar would be seated -- we were told 45 minutes-- we said, ok-- we will be done in 45 minutes- no surprise that 90 minutes later, we were still the only ones at the bar. I had the absolute best steak of my life there. It is so refreshing to find amazing italian food in Florida after living in the northeast for many years. We've gone here a few times and always a different experience. The only constant is it's always over priced for what you get. I've stopped at a drive through on the way home from here to get the last bit of food I was lacking after a $130 dinner tab. Twice now they've brought out the wrong meal, and Instead of cooking the correct one, they took the seafood out of my dish, washed "most" of the red sauce off it, and reused it in the meal I ordered. Even though it wasn't a red sauce dish. I understand it's a family establishment, and they are very nice, however, nice doesn't get you good service. Food had no flavor. I had clams that were soo small, you had to gather 5 of them to make a table spoon full. First rate billing, second class seafood sourcing. I guess if your the owner that's great. Get the cheapest stuff you can source, dress it up and charge a fortune. Sorry, not feeling it. Will be the 3rd and last time we go. read more

Ate here for the first time this weekend. The food is tasty, my issue is the price to portion ratio. They just don't give you enough. My chicken was great and the sauce was excellent but they serve you 2 small pieces. Any place else and this would be considered a child's size portion. We all know that pasta costs next to nothing to buy or even make in house. I am use to NY/NJ Italian restaurants and you definitely do not leave hungry. Tried this place years ago and had a great meal so we decided to try it again. The menu had changed and so had the food. There were four of us and we all tried different things. Nobody was impressed with the menu or the food. They have one beer and some wine options. No veal or chicken. If you want pasta maybe it's what you are looking for. Rude Owner- will not be back...food does not replace customer service ever. Celebrated a friend's special 50th birthday at Bacco Wine Cafe'. I called ahead to reserve our party of ten for this special day. Bacco suggested we come early at 5:00 pm to help the flow of the meal and we said of course. We arrived and I immediately ordered a bottle of bubbly for the table AND a cake from the restaurant had been ordered prior for the birthday guest. The birthday guest brought a signed double magnum of wine ( a 31 year old wine the the owner does not carry.) The corkage policy was charged- which is expected and customary. BUT, when we offered a taste of the wine to the owner (which is proper etiquette) - He proceeded to make the guests and the birthday guest feel terrible. "The worst thing you can do is bring wine to a wine bar" said owner. After the meal, I shared with him, quietly not in front of any guests, that our food was good, but his surly attitude spoiled our evening- he still insisted that we should not bring wine and then challenged me asking if I would bring wine to another popular restaurant in town(which will remain nameless to protect them). My honest and direct response was, " Yes, I do all the time- if there is a corkage policy offered" Belittling your guests does not encourage them to return. Perhaps- you should not have a corkage policy, if your response is to complain that your guests bring wine. read more

Good food but not enough of it. Limited menu but you should be able to find something you will enjoy. While paying the tab they put a computer screen in front of you. You can choose different percentages for the tip, I chose 20% which is calculated for you. After leaving I decided to check to see if it was correct. It was, but it was based on the total bill including the tax. I thought it rather cute that they include 20% of the tax and add it to the tip. What's the old saying about fool me once??? I was so upset with this dining experience. I ate there when they first opened and loved it. Went back with a very good friend of mine ranting and raving about the rest. Took us so long to get waited on, waiter was extremely rude and uninformitive. I have served for years and fine dining also......this waiter was not informative and our dining experience on a tuesday night took 2 hours because he was by himself, never apoloigized for anything, took forever to greet us and get our drinks and appetizers.
