We were not expecting much but this restaurant was a great find in the New Smyrna Beach area. The restaurant doesn't look like much from the outside, but pleasantly surprise with the outdoor bar and seating (great if you have to wait like us). The portions were very generous. Food was delicious. We skip any appetizers and went straight for dinner entrees after 30 mins wait. We got Chicken Francesce (sort of like a egg batter chicken breast with tons of lemon - like picatta without the capers - sort of), Clam Linguini - which came with generous amounts of clam - a bit greasy though, and Spaguetti with meat sauce. For desserts we ordered a cannoli and a tiramisu. The cannoli was fantastic. For the tiramisu - although really good, it needed something not sure if it was more coffee or liquor flavor. The art work around is really cool to look and give a 30-40 vibes to the site. Deducting a point for the waiter assigned. He completely forgot about us after taking our dinner order, so it was really frustrating trying to flag someone to help us. Restaurant was about 30 mins from closing, crowd was winding down, so not sure what was the issue. Overall, it was good and will definitely return to try other dishes. read more

Love this place! Great pizza-our table ordered 4 of the 12" wood fired pizzas. One was the Baci Vegetarian, 2 meat lovers, and a chicken bacon ranch. I had some meat and some chicken. It could not have been better. The side salad was crisp and fresh. The white sangria was really good, but warning-it's on the sweet side. Loved the atmosphere and the service. Two pizzas and one gluten-free pie. The pizzas were OK but a bit oily like they needed an oil change. The gluten-free pie was adequate. I asked him if he had anything gluten-free on the menu in the way of pasta and they said no. I ask you this. What would it take to have the owner go to Publix and buy one box of gluten-free pasta. It would cost five bucks and you get three or four meals out of it. Any chef could boil pasta whether it's gluten-free or not I'm very disappointed perhaps after reading this they might change, this is the only thing stopping me from giving them four stars. I wanted to love this place but unfortunately did not. My boyfriend and I have ordered take-out pizza from here before which was delicious. This was my second time getting food from here but first time dining at the restaurant. Instead of pizza, I decided to order a pasta dish - eggplant parm. One thing I will note (at least on a Saturday) is you definitely need to come here early. We arrived at 5 pm. and it wasn't that crowded but shortly after started to fill up with the outdoor dining. When we left around 6:30, there was a line out the door to get in. We sat ourselves and were greeted right away with there only being one guy doing everything himself. I definitely give extra kudos to him and he did a great job making sure all his customers were happy and did not ignore us when it filled up. We ordered and he was generous to give me a little extra of a pour when he forgot to bring it out. We got a caesar salad to share which was good. If you dine outside, all the food and beverages (with exception of the alcohol since there is a bar outside) come in to-go boxes and containers. My boyfriend got a traditional pie which I tried and was good. Not as good as the first time I got but still pretty good. I ordered the eggplant parm but to me the sauce had a sweet taste to it...kind of like jar ragu. So in my opinion, if you come here I would stick to the pies. Maybe they use a different sauce for the eggplant? I am not sure but I would not get that dish again. Overall, great customer service and mediocre food. read more

Such a shame.. always liked this pizza place, especially when going to NSB have been going here for about 3 years.. until yesterday. Ordered a large cheese pizza, everything looked great! Until we left the parking lot I got a slice for myself and my husband in the car and the crust on the top looked to be a little bit burnt but nothing I couldn't get past. I took a bite and all I could taste was burnt.. I looked at the bottom of the pizza and the entire pizza was BLACK. My husband was starving from driving an hour to NSB he said "it's ok I will eat it don't worry about it" he ate about 3 slices and I ate none. I called and a man answered I said "hello I placed a pick up order for a large cheese pizza but it was incredibly burnt" the man on the phone says "ok, bring back the entire pizza and I'll see what I can do" Bring back the entire pizza!? I have never ever heard that before, ever! What is this..? An exchange for a burnt pizza for a pizza that should have been made correctly from the beginning!? Pathetic honestly. I said my husband ate a few slices because he was starving. The man on the phone said "ok well your have to bring back the entire pizza for a new one" I said "that's all you can offer?" He said "yes". Well, lost a loyal costumer here! Very sad how this establishment handled this situation. If the man on the phone replied "I'm so sorry to hear that the pizza came out burnt, we will make a new pizza for you it'll be ready in a bit" my review would've been completely different I would have recommend this place but since the not so nice man on the phone handled this totally wrong, I will take my money else where. Pizza night! Saturday night we had dinner at Baci's for the first time. We arrived around 7 and there was a 15 minute wait. They suggested we go to the outside bar to wait, grab a drink, etc. The outside was really cool, with a bar that had about 16 chairs and additional outside tables. We love to eat outside so we asked the bartender if we could eat out there. She said that currently you can, but it will be a "to-go" order (come in a box). But in the near future they will have an outside Italian Pizza oven (I believe she said wood fired- but don't quote me on that...as the inside uses pizza ovens) and a modified menu to serve to patrons. We weren't up for to-go box eating, so chose to wait for an open table. But we can't wait until the outside is open for food and drink!!!! Baci's is a wine & beer only restaurant, which works fine with an Italian meal. While waiting, my wife ordered a glass of their house Chianti and i ordered a beer on tap. my wifes wine was warm - I think from being outside in the heat - so she had to put in an ice cube to bring it to an ok red wine temperature. The waitress called us in about 15 minutes later. The interior of Baci's is really nice. Wine bottles everywhere, casual but inviting. Inside there is also a small bar with about 10 chairs and a TV. Our waiter was very friendly and attentive. We ordered a bottle of red wine, Caesar salad to share, and a large meat lovers pizza. I was a little disappointed that the red wine was again warm (or room temp on a muggy night). We are NOT wine snobs, but if you are going to add "wine bar" to your name, you should keep your wines at the recommended temps for serving. They just taste so much better! Note: that in no way stopped us from drinking the whole bottle...... They served warm bread "chunks" with olive oil and vinegar. The olive oil had roasted garlic infused in it and the balsamic vinegar was thick and flavorful. It was delicious. The Caesar salad was great with fresh parm, dressed perfectly, and a good shareable portion. The pizza was fantastic. It came out super hot with a thin, crispy great tasting crust, sauce that wasn't too sweet and loaded with meat toppings. We ordered a large so we could take some home - but ended up eating the whole thing. And an extra special touch to the meal/evening was the gentleman that stopped at the tables and played Italian songs on his violin. That may not be for everyone, but we loved it- it made the night extra fun and he was very sweet. Overall, a great evening. We will definitely go back and have the pizza again and try their other dishes. I can't wait until the outside is open for "food" business as that's where you will find us ! read more

One of my favorite NSB restaurants. Dennis, the manager is great and knows so much about wine! He took the time to take me to the wine shop and walk through a variety of wines they carry. If you purchase $50 in wine at shop, you are able to drink what you purchase at restaurant, which I love! Mike the bartender is entertaining and attentive. Love the Pizza, Love the salads, Love the pastas. I have been here over a dozen times (can't believe I never wrote a review), Whenever I am in town, this is always on our restaurant list. We always get takeout. I have never been disappointed with their food or service. They are great about special orders and adding or eliminating items on specific dishes (important if you have some picky eaters in your group). Nice interior design, it quickly became obvious that this is an endeavor to support the owners love of wine. Excess labor hanging around at 730 on a Saturday night made it busier and less efficient than necessary. Menu has something for everyone. We came to try the pizza, but ordered a pasta dish as well as more than half of the customers were eating pasta. The wood fired oven was an obvious attraction but in reality the crust was thin and soon became soggy so much so it wouldn't hold its shape when lifted. The pasta was very good and more than abundant. My son had three meals from that one dish. If you love wine then this is a place to try.
