When my friend and I arrived, we took some fun pictures outside and were genuinely excited about the space. I even said we should come back to play mini golf. My boyfriend was recently seriously injured in a mountain-biking accident and commented that golf may be one of the few sports he can participate in while recovering, so I was also interested in asking about purchasing beginner clubs for both of us. Upon entering, I took a sparkling water from an unlocked refrigerator and carried it to the bar area, where my friend was trying to find out how we could pay for the event. She knows the owner and asked him directly. His response was, "This is not my thing. I am the owner," delivered in a very blunt and unwelcoming manner. As I picked up the unopened drink and began walking toward the painting area, the owner called me back in front of everyone and told me the drinks were "for members only." There were no signs on the refrigerator indicating that, and I had been standing at the bar trying to pay. He then said I could put money in a box. I only had $20 bills, so my friend gave me a dollar. The owner responded with something along the lines of, "I'll take the $20." This was never about a 50-cent sparkling water. It was about the unnecessarily harsh and embarrassing way the situation was handled. A simple, friendly explanation. "Just so you know, those are normally for members, but you can leave a dollar in the box" would have resolved everything. Instead, I felt publicly called out over an honest mistake caused by unclear signage. No clue that it was a membership type of place. Although I still paid for the paint night and the drink, the interaction made me feel so unwelcome that I left shortly after sitting down. I left behind all of my painting supplies and the drink, still unopened. I was also no longer comfortable asking about lessons, memberships, mini golf, or buying starter clubs from the store. What made the experience worse was the owner's response when my friend later explained why we left. Rather than simply taking responsibility for how he spoke to a first-time guest, he wrote, "Sorry you feel that way," questioned why the interaction "warranted wanting to leave," and referenced not knowing someone's "life, emotions or day." That did not feel like a sincere apology. It felt like the responsibility was being placed on me for reacting to behavior that he himself acknowledged may have come across as "blunt, harsh or rude." My friend and I each have more than ten years of hospitality experience. Owning a business open to the public means every person who enters is a potential customer--even if they are attending someone else's event. Clear signage and basic kindness would have prevented this entire situation. The owner said he will now label the refrigerators and snack areas, which is appropriate, but I hope he also considers hospitality training and reflects on how he communicates with patrons who are trying to support his business. I arrived excited to enjoy the event and potentially return with my boyfriend. I left embarrassed, uncomfortable, and certain that I will not be back. Be aware! If you are not from the small town or a "member" you will not be greeted with hospitality.

Last year, I hosted our fantasy football draft at Swing Center Indoor Golf, and Brian and his son Tristan were amazing hosts. They went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed for a smooth, entertaining draft--they helped with simulator questions, served our beers, and easily accommodated our potluck setup. My entire group was thoroughly impressed by both the clean aesthetic and top-notch hospitality. We had such a great time that we're officially hosting our draft here again this year! The facility itself is incredible. The bays are clean and spacious, and the turf, hitting strips, and screens are extremely well-maintained. The software lets you play virtually any top PGA course in the world, and the ball and club tracking data is impressively accurate. Beyond events, I've come in several times for pro shop services. Niko and Tristan have re-gripped my clubs, and their precision is unbeatable--putting on Golf Pride Align grips correctly takes true craftsman-level detail, and they nailed it every time. On top of all that, I've been taking lessons from Al Owens, and he's been phenomenal. My game has taken huge leaps forward thanks to him. I love that he uses Sportsbox AI technology to analyze my swing flaws and records the lessons so I can review the footage at home. The quality of the Hoka brand is top notch and Dicks is conveniently located in Lodi by Costco . I felt so fortunate to be helped by Lenna and Rebecca !!!! These two outstanding employees went above and beyond to make sure my shopping experience was enjoyable. Dicks did have a size 8 Hoka for my wife's birthday but I was also looking to purchase a size 8.5 for our daughter for her birthday, unfortunately this Dicks sporting goods store does not have a big selection of Hoka shoes for women, I'm surprised, but it was Leena to the rescue and we went online and ordered the perfect shoe for our daughter's birthday! Yea ! I'm going to be the greatest dad ever now! I must give props to Rebecca also because not knowing if Hokas women shoes are true to size I asked if Rebecca would try on the size 8 that I was buying for my wife!!! Now that's service! She did! I purchased the Wilson NBA DRV Plus Official Basketball (Size: 7), which was priced at $25.97. Upon arrival, I utilized the curbside service and parked in stall #1. I checked in via email and was brought out the basketball in less than 5 minutes. I was highly impressed by the swift service. The quality of the basketball was spectacular. It was filled properly with the correct amount of air. It dribbled so nicely on the basketball court within my neighborhood. Very disappointing experience at Golf Mart…read more We arrived on Sunday at approximately 4:45 PM because Google showed the store was open until 5:00 PM. Before we could even enter, an employee stopped us at the door and told us they were closing early. We explained that we only wanted to take a quick look around, but he went to ask the manager anyway. Manager John Z. then came to the door and told us the same thing--that we couldn't come in despite it still being within posted business hours. He offered a lame explanation about a power outage the PREVIOUS day and internet issues, but none of that explained why the store was refusing customers 15 minutes before its advertised closing time. How did they stay open from 10am-4:45pm? Yeah, totally not buying that excuse. If the store needed to close early, the hours should have been updated accordingly. Instead, customers were led to believe the store was open, only to be turned away at the door before the posted closing time. It felt like they simply wanted to leave early rather than honor their stated business hours. Very frustrating and not the level of customer service I would expect.

First time at this location, and parking was super easy in their lot. The store layout is very clean and easy to navigate. Plenty of selection when it comes to apparel, clubs, and bags. They had like 4 hitting bays with launch monitors. Scott was able to set me up with one while I tried out a few iron shots with the set I was eyeing. After a few swings, I was sold. Working with Scott and Jeremy was a breeze and ended up with a brand new putter as well. While some people like to thrift shop for clothes, I like to do that with golf clubs because the demo and trade-in pricing on clubs are a good way to save money of clubs that you actually want. The 90-day return policy for store credit allows you to take what you buy out and play them for up to 90 days. If you don't like it, you can swap them out for something else. And with golf, the money can always be spent on something golf related. Played my first round with my new set, and love em. Will probably be back to get them re-gripped soon.
