This spot was great! We were in town for a baseball tournament and it was close to our hotel. Don't be surprised on a Friday evening if you see a host of bikers up front, as there is a bar attached to the front of the restaurant. We went twice in 1 weekend it was so good. We tried this place tonight and it was very very good. The family special was 2 large two toppings, 12 wings and a 2 liter which is a great deal. I've had authentic NY and Brooklyn pizza and this is very comparable. The wings were good, they'd be better in shop instead of take out but still, pretty good. The crust is perfect, cheese is REAL and the sauce is the perfect ratio. We WILL be coming back. I just wish I found this place before, I've been suffering through Pizza Hut and Domino's for over a year. read more

Super yummy! The salads are served in the old school wooden salad bowls. It was a nice touch. The Greek salad dressing was rich and tangy. The salad was full of olives, tomatoes, mushrooms, and fresh basil. The Caesar salad was okay. Pretty standard. We got a 20" half Bronx and half Greek pizza. The toppings were generous and tasty, but the crust was out of this world. It was crispy on the bottom, and the edges were pillowy soft on the inside. Absolutely superb! We had cannoli for dessert and they were good. They were put together right before served, so the shells were nice and crispy and the filling was nice and cold. The owner's son was taking orders, serving, and bussing. He was knowledgable and courteous - his family should be proud of how he represents them! read more

A couple things make this place notable. The first is the food. The pizza is not NY style. Having said that, it is delicious and better than any others I've had around here. That makes it worth the trip. Speaking of the trip, it's slightly hidden from Old Hempstead. You have to turn down the side street. Parking is not paved and as it was rainy today I had to walk through some mud so don't dress up. The interior is very East coast as it reminds me of every good pizza joint. Stumbled across this place by accident at work. It is a New York style pizzeria off the beaten path and away from the hustle and bustle of the city. Not wanting to miss the opportunity to fully evaluate a pizzeria, we ordered a large pepperoni pizza, an italian hoagie and some wings. The pizza crust was crisp on the bottom and outside with a light doughy inside. Cheese was fresh and the sauce was delicious. One of the better non-chain pizzas I have had in Texas. The wings were fried to order and lightly sauced. Meat was flavorful and juicy, and much better than the prominent local wing chains in my opinion. The hoagie was underwhelming but not bad. The bread was good, pretty soft with a good texture. Could have used a little more filling but the sandwich as a whole was filling. The dressing seemed to be a premixed italian, and not the standard oil and vinegar I was expecting. Overall, we had a great experience and I will definitely be back. Maybe even a good spot for a short motorcycle ride on the weekend. read more

We have been getting take-out from Backdoor Pizza for almost a year now. Their gyros are excellent and their Mediterranean pizza is our favorite! Bleh. After all the positive reviews my girlfriend and I tried this place. Burger want any good, the canzone was burned, and the gyro was about the same as anywhere with gyros. I don't get it. Maybe it's a small town thing when people haven't had anything better and like that type of food. Wow that came out much more rude than I wanted. Just saying there are many places with better food. It is the best pizza hand down. Quite a find in our sleepy little town. Can eat inside or inside Jimbo's Roadhouse which is right next door.

We don't have many choices out here..or really any so that's why I'm so thankful that BDPnM is so good! I haven't really had any other things off of their menu, but I can say that their pizza is awesome. If you get an extra large, you'll be blown away by the sizes. The pizza itself is very different from the other big chains, in a good way. They have a New York style to them and you can watch your pizza being made right in front of your eyes. They're great for parties because they have a monstrous sized pizza as well. In addition, the staff is always really friendly. The eat in area doesn't make you feel like you need to get in and get out quick. It's got a down home type feel to it. Overall, my family and I love going there, but I just wish they delivered since we're not even a mile down the road! =) read more
