Had a very late lunch here. Good selection of pies and beer. The service was great and pizzas came out quickly, but our crusts were a little tough. Two people can easily finish a whole pie. Overall a nice experience for a Saturday afternoon.

Thank you for the great service and for the gluten free options! Mediterranean salad is a must for us!

The crust appear quite dark and rigid, especially around the edges where it looks dry and overly firm. The cheese near the edge is caramelized and hardened, which typically happens when a pizza is overbaked or kept too long in the oven. The pepperoni and bell peppers look a bit shriveled and dry--another sign of overcooking. that biting into it would be difficult and not enjoyable.

First I wanna start by saying that the staff here were so friendly! They were able to accommodate a huge group of us and kept making sure to come by and check on us and continuously clearing our plates. The restaurant is very cute and clean. Got the hibiscus limeade which was okay. The pappardelle lamb pasta was good but probably wouldn't get it again. But the star of the night was definitely their pizza! They had a buffalo chicken pizza that was absolutely delicious, it was so saucy and flavorful and had a nice crust. It was not your traditional take on buffalo pizza and they really outdid their selves with that one! 10/10 would recommend that pizza. Definitely would come back to see what other tasty creations they come up with.

We're so lucky to have Backpacker Pizza in downtown. Not only are they delicious, but they're great neighbors who care about the community! Backpacker is involved in our downtown Camas community garden and they generously provided us with some beautiful pizzas for our kick-off party. It was the highlight of the day and every single pizza was perfectly crispy, with unique toppings and flavor combos. Their homemade ranch and the quality of their ingredients took it to another level. Thank you Backpacker!

Tried to get in here earlier, since the restaurant opened just recently, but they've been really busy (super happy to see that). Stopped in this time on a Saturday afternoon about 2:30 PM, and (for a group of four adults) grabbed a couple of pizzas, a couple desserts, and a beer; ended up being just the perfect amount. Got the Thru Hiker and the Caprese, and both were great. Somewhat modest beer selection, but choices were right on the mark, and they also offer several other sorts of drinks (soda, coffee, canned beer). Service was super friendly, and pizzas came out in about 20 to 25 minutes, which was reasonable. Space is not huge, which I understand, so especially if you are local, if you don't get in when you want to, come back later and give them some business. Or, at worst, go walk around downtown and then come back in. Really a nice addition to downtown Camas.

Amazing Caesar Salad (their way). Amazing! As you can see!

We ordered their "go-to" item which is the ribeye steak: 12 full ounces of tasty tender boneless beef served on a bed of mashed potatoes. Accompaniments were a large pickled onion slice & grilled cauliflower & broccoli crowns. We ordered the steak medium but it was cooked more like medium rare. The soup & salad were some of the best openers I've had. And the chocolate mousse dessert did not disappoint. Portions were enormous. So why not 5 stars? The setting while nice, can't compare to other fine dining places that look out on rivers, fields, etc. Here we get views of a busy intersection and a strip mall parking lot. For the prices charge, one would hope for a better setting. And the extreme prices will set most folks back over $100 per diner (assuming full meals, drinks, dessert, tax & gratuities). As initially stated, this restaurant is worth it for special occasions or if cost is not a concern.

I would prefer something a little bit more done. But their steaks definitely do not disappoint. I have been to other steak houses in the Portland area. Roots beats other famous Portland steak houses by their flavor, tenderness, service, atmosphere and portion size. However, their menu items are quite pricey. My steak was nicely cooked and seasoned. The mashed potato and veggies were excellent. They topped the steak with couple pickled onion rings which was quite refreshing. And don't forget the garlic infused butter served with the steak. It was wonderful. I had my wedge salad while my husband had their soup of the day. It was a big salad which Ai appreciate. The blue cheese crumbles and salad dressing was fantastic. The chocolate mousse dessert was a piece of art. It was quite big and can be easily shared with another person. The atmosphere inside was nice and modern in a warm sense. The servers were very attentive. I am not sure what brand of root beer do they serve but it was very good.

The wine here is consistently delicious, thoughtfully curated, and always comes with great recommendations from the friendly, knowledgeable staff. You can tell they really care--not just about wine, but about creating a welcoming, relaxed space to enjoy it in. The atmosphere is cozy without feeling cramped. Whether you're catching up with friends or just savoring a quiet glass, it feels comfortable and inviting. Tucked between Hawthorne and Division on SE 50th, the location makes it an easy destination. We've been here a few times now, and it keeps calling us back. A true gem for wine lovers and anyone who enjoys a little warmth with their pour.

The inside is very nicely decorated and the staff are very friendl and accommodating. The weather was unseasonably nice for mid-October so we sat outside at one of their many picnic tables. There's a good assortment of wines to try and the person at the counter was very helpful in walking us through them. I will definitely be back.
