You only get one chance to make a first impression and this place failed miserably. With so many burger places to try I'm not sure this is even worth your time. They have a system where they have tablets (paper - not iPads) on the table and you make the ingredients that you want for your salad or hamburger. I opted for a salad with grilled chicken and the Mr. had a hamburger. The Mr. described his hamburger as "quite good, but nothing special". I described my salad with chicken as missing the CHICKEN. I lost my desire to eat there and sent the salad back since it was wrong, but I was still charged for it! Doesn't seem fair to me! Ahhhh, t'was the week before COVID, and all through the street, So few eaters were stirring that it was easy to find a seat...at the bar at Bad Daddy's! My co-worker told me about this place so I had been dying to try it. I'm glad I made it in just before the county officially shut down. I christened my first visit with the Bad Ass Burger. I didn't realize that it had buttermilk fried bacon on it. That was a bit of overkill. Bacon is great on its own but I must say, the buttermilk batter added another layer of flavor, not that this thing needed it. The burger looked daunting but I still ate the whole thing and enjoyed the crunch from the battered bacon with each bite of my burger. The Bad Daddy's sauce was freakin' amazing! I loved that stuff and used it instead of ketchup for my fries. The fries were also good and flavorful. The other star of the night was the Bad Ass Habanero Margarita. Their margaritas have a kick so don't think you're going to be throwin' 'em back all night and expect to drive home. I had 2 and I was good for the night. I came here awhile ago and had the Black Bean Burger (at the time I asked one of the employees here if the Black Bean Burger was 100% vegan and they said yes ;let's keep that in mind) This is my 4th visit here and something inside of me decided to ask again , but this time with a different employee . A little above average burger. They make their own sauces which is pretty tasty. The bread on the burger holds up pretty well. Just the burger patty itself needs a tad more salt and pepper. I'm not a salty eater but I even thought it was a little plain. We got the bad ass burger and custom burger. Both with tots. Tots were crispy and nice. Bad ass burger is pretty large. It's a messy eats :p but enjoyable. Like I said it's not bad just needs a tad more salt and pepper. Even if you slather their house sauce on there that patty just needs a bit more seasoning. We came in on a rainy Saturday afternoon around noon. It's in a plaza so there's a parking deck and a parking lot.There was a pretty good amount of people in there already. We sat on the patio because we didn't want to wait. It was heated. We ordered the cheese dip with bacon in it. Freakin awesome! Can't go wrong with adding bacon to food lol I decided to create my own burger with the note pad. Of course I tried the fried bacon. Yummy! I probably went overboard with the toppings so it ended up being sloppy (my fault lol) but it was still fantastic. Great food porn too! I had the "truffle" Fries which were alright. The mister had the grilled tuna fish salad which tasted better than the pic I took and he was able to create his salad as well. We also got 2 Moscow Mule. Service was great and attentive. New Favorite spot! I was so excited when this place opened and I was right to be! My family now comes weekly. Obviously they are know for their burgers but I actually love love love their salads! For both burgers and salad you can create your own by filling out a little sheet of paper at the table. For salads they let you add seven toppings for no extra charge! They also can add protein and love getting the chicken tenders. The fries are also handcut style and so yummy!! And the milkshakes are fantastic, truly. It can get loud but I'm so excited to try out the patio when it gets warmer. They have a parking lot but it's shared for the area and once word gets out I'm worried it will be tough but for now it's fine! Also I want to point out one thing in particular. I was very very very impressed with my customer service last visit. They generally take a while with the food so be prepared to wait. But this particular day I was in for lunch and my friend and I ordered two salads. It took about 55 minutes before we actually got them. But the waitress was on top of it the whole time. She kept checking in on us and apologizing and saying she was trying to push it through. After about 40 min she went and got the manager and came to apologize and then went in the kitchen and made them himself. Then when we went to pay our bill he apologized again and gave us both meals free of charge. Both the waitress and the server truly cared about our experience and made sure we were taken care of. Let me first say that what Bad Daddy's calls a "lettuce wrap" most certainly is not. I'd call that a Lettuce Bun. It was fantastic. I've been to other places where they make no effort and just limply wrap a single piece of romaine or bibb, which makes for an inadequate bun-substitute, at best. Bad Daddy's lettuce wrap was, instead, several pieces of iceberg carved out to be roughly the size and shape of an actual hamburger bun. This allowed me to eat the hamburger with my hands like God intended and it was glorious. In addition to the Lettuce Wrap, they have a separate gluten-free menu (kitchen isn't dedicated, of course). One of the best burger place I've been to. There was a great selection on the menu from beef burgers to salads to chilis. This is one of the places you go to when you have a big appetite. The meal portions are huge. The service is great. We were seated as soon as we walked through the door and the manager came by to make sure everything was great. The price was not bad for the amount of food we got. If you sign up for their eClub, you get a free starter. Along with that, they have drink specials everyday including $5 Bad Ass Margaritas in Monday's. The drink size are not as big as the food size, which is a bummer. So I finally stopped in after driving by almost everyday and moving out of the Chamblee/Brookhaven area. And am I glad I did. There was a lot going on inside posters, signs, and TVs. But by the end I liked the atmosphere. Maybe it was the abundance of TVs or maybe it was bathroom posters. Whatever it was it worked. As for the burger... I believe in the phrase " keep it simple stupid" especially with burgers and I'm glad I did. My burger was this perfect stack. A wonderfully seasoned thick yet crispy patty topped with melted american and the normal lettuce and tomatoes on top of pillowy goodness of a bun with a side of house sauce. The sweet potato fries were great and hit the spot. I passed on alcohol but there is a nice beer list, liquor, boozy, and regular shakes, and soda (pepsi products.) So while this burger make not make "The List" of Atlanta Burgers it's definitely one of the best of the new burgers around. 4/5 Will Eat Again. read more

With all the burger joints to hit the Atlanta scene, Bad Daddy's fits right in. Not only is the price right, the food is right on point. It's family friendly and sits right in the new Chamblee Shopping/Eating plaza on Peachtree. I've tried the Pittsburgher Burger, which is more than enough for me with the shoestring fries and garlic ketchup to top off the good flavor. Between that, wings, and fries you can't go wrong. Oh and did I mention they have good tater tots, yes I said Tater Tots! The service is just as good as the food. The servers are very outgoing, friendly, and helpful. I think that says a lot when it's their first day and they're operating like they've been there for months! We got custom burgers but the pre-created ones on the menu sound delicious. It was just too heavy for what I was in the mood for. The patty was decent and not over done...great considering it's actually a small chain. I don't think it's comparable to say, Vortex or Fred's Meat and Bread. The tots and fries were good too but a bit too salty... Ok so it's a decent burger but why the 4 stars? It's a friendly place with good atmosphere for hanging out or watching the game of the moment. Lots of TVs, space, and drink/snack specials. I hate to say, but I have always loved this place. The chili burger was soooooo good. I went last Saturday and didn't want to pay $16 for a chili burger. The waitress said a dab of chili would be )2-$2.50. So I ordered a chicken sandwich and swapped out the mayo for a different tyt. She never said it was extra and it wasn't included on my sandwich. I was halfway done and she was going bg to bring the mayo and I told her to not worry about it. I will try it again maybe after this pandemic is over. read more

My friends have been telling me about this place so decided to check it out. Went there for lunch on a Friday, so it was game over trying to go back to the office. haha. Ordered the Emilio Chicken Sandwich - which consists of a Buttermilk-fried chicken breast topped with fresh mozzarella, jalapeno bacon, poblano pepper mayo, guacamole, shredded iceberg lettuce, tomato & red onion. And While i was there, decided to up the ante, and upgrade my side to the truffle Parmesan fries. Got to say, the burger was amazing, good seasoning and flavor on every bit. The fries though, they needed something, to me there was a huge lack of truffle onto these fries. There were just regular fries with green onions and Parmesan, so wasn't a huge fan. The interior is like the Applebees, Chili's, and Bennigans with random stuff all over. They utilize the glossy cement floor with seating for about 60ish and another 20 in the patio. There is a 4 sided bar with one side facing the patio and there are TVs with sports all around. There are plenty of burger options along with salads and non burger items. I got the Smokehouse (Angus with shredded pork for $12.45 including choice of fries or fruit). The price is comparable to other gourmet burgers places. The fruit cup was actually impressive. Normally, you get some apples and small strawberries but you get those and melons, blueberries, and pineapples. Pretty impressed. I tried the tots, fries and sweet potato fries of my friends and it had the most important ingredient, CRISPINESS! Can't stand soggy fries. They're unethical. One disappointing item was the fried bacon burger (Badass Burger). It comes with 3 bacon strips that are so breaded that they look like chicken tenders. It's just too much breading. Otherwise, the food was satisfying. The service was friendly and reasonably quick for burgers. The parking can be slightly tricky but the apartments aren't full now so it's easier. I wanted to like this place, really. My husband is a burger nut and we were really excited to give it a try. We even waited a while before coming in order to give them a chance to smooth out any new restaurants bumps and mishaps...but maybe we didn't wait long enough. *sigh* We came in around 7:30pm on a Thursday night and it was busy, but there wasn't a wait for a table. It took a while for our waitress to make her way over to us, but when she finally did, she was very apologetic. On Thursday, they have a $4 Craft Can beer special, but the beer list doesn't indicate which beers are in bottles and which are in cans. When I asked our waitress about it, she told me that PBR and Bud Light were on special. I asked her to double check because I don't consider those to be "Craft" brews. It took her a while to return and she offered me two choices...one of which was Stone IPA, so I went with that one. We also immediately ordered our meals at the same time I ordered my beer. I chose the Ahi non-Burger and my husband went with the Bacon Cheeseburger on Steroids. It took over 45 minutes for our burgers to arrive. My beer was long gone and I was never asked if I wanted another. Once our food arrived, it was tasty and served correctly. My husband had no complaints about his burger. My Ahi sandwich fell apart as soon as I picked it up. I don't know if the dice of the fish is too large or if the patty wasn't formed properly, but it was a messy experience and I ended up eating most of it with a fork. Also, unfortunately, my last bite contained a huge chunk of ginger...which left my mouth burning. Not a great way to end the meal. If the execution on the Ahi was better, it would've been something that I could see myself ordering again. Too bad. Then, when our bill came, my beer wasn't $4, but $5.50. She adjusted it, but if it's the daily bar special, it shouldn't be something that we had to point out to them. I really hope they get heir act together soon. We came here last night as a family because my husband has driven by this place a bunch of times and wanted to check it out. We got here around 5pm on a Sunday and there was a huge line -- we were told it would be a 20-25 min wait. Normally we wouldn't mind waiting but there were tons of open tables, the issue was just that they hadn't been cleared off...so many wait staff running around and yet so many uncleaned tables...seems like maybe they're still working on operations. We'll see one come grab some things and then leave with no one back for a while and the table still not clear. Then 5-10 min later someone else would come by. There's gotta be a better way... Food wise, it was pretty good. We started with fried pickles and tater tots so our kid had something to snack on while we waited for the food. Surprisingly, for a burger bar with such a large burger menu, there weren't any that jumped out as OMG THAT LOOKS AMAZING. Lots of great ingredients but we commented on how all the combos had some weird thing that would throw off the yumminess quotient. In the end, my mom got the Ahi Tuna burger, which she liked pretty well. I got he magic mushroom, which they overcooked. My husband got the Reuben which was pretty good and my sister made her own b/c nothing jumped out at her as great. My magic mushroom burger was probably the worse, which was unfortunate. The large pieces of shiitake just completely overpowered all the other flavors and the burgers itself. So sad since I love mushrooms on my burger, was excited to see such a variety and I LOVE truffle AND aioli, so it seemed like such a great choice. Probably didn't help that my requested medium was a well-done. I had bites of the others and my sister's creation was probably the best, which leads back to the point around all those choices and yet weird combos. I can't decide which part is bad about Bad Daddy's: the quality of the food or the part where you can't eat your burger comfortably without everything falling apart. Went in on a Wednesday night and it was pretty packed. There was a happy hour, it's in a relatively close distance to offices, it's only been opened for a few months and there was a basketball game on. We were seated pretty quickly and given menus as soon as we sat down. The menu is quite extensive so it took us some time to order. It includes burgers, chicken burgers, build your own burgers, salads, build your own salads, a ton of appetizer options and sides. They also offer handspun milkshakes with a few spiked options as well. We ended up ordering one of their spiked milkshakes (can't remember which one that was decided on, but it was actually pretty good) and their special at the bar on Wednesday's were $6 Moscow mules so I decided to order one. To my surprise, it was in a smaller copper mug, which doesn't seem like much of a deal. For appetizer and entrees, we decided on their fried pickles, bad ass burger, and the BD's all American. The fried pickles were sliced long ways and served with ranch and good for about 2-3 people. They were way too salty to finish even though they looked pretty good. The bad ass burger comes with a 10 oz patty, housemade American cheese, buttermilk fried bacon, mayo, lettuce, tomato and pickles. The BD's all American comes with ketchup, mustard, iceberg lettuce, tomato, red onion and pickles. Both served with a side of your choice. I knew the bad ass burger was going to be ginormous, but I couldn't even pick it with both my hands or cut it in half to eat it that way. I've never had buttermilk fried bacon before, which would've been good if the batter wasn't too salty as well. The all American burger doesn't have too much stuff in it, but was also very difficult to eat. All the items inside were falling out of the burger and the buns for both burgers were bigger than the patty, making it hard to eat in general. On top of that, the homemade cheese on the BD burger looked chunky and dripping out of the burger. Although our waitress was pretty attentive, the spiked milkshake was good and presentation for some of the items were okay, I'd recommend going elsewhere for burgers unless you want something for less than subpar. read more

The only reason this gets a 2 star is because the food really wasn't bad. I went her for the first time about 20 minutes ago and I will never go back. The service was AWFUL. Amber was our server and I pray no one gets her at the end of her shift. We got seated in the back corner of this small booth hallway by the hostess stand and it was awful. It felt so cramped and we weren't even able to enjoy the atmosphere of the actual restaurant. Amber was obviously trying to hurry us through and it was very clear with how we were treated. No explanation on any specials or about the restaurants, just a "you get the gist of the menu, what do you guys want?" Once we did order, it took almost 40 minutes to get our food and when our food was brought, she also brought the check. We never asked for it or anything and not even a chance to discuss dessert. Her service and the lack of acknowledgment of how long everything took left such a bad taste in our mouths, we paid, got a box and left. There are so many other issues, but I'm not willing to spend anymore time thinking about this awful experience. As decent as the food is, it's not worth it. Don't bother even coming here. I'm not sure if they were short-staffed but it took a long time to order and to get our food. Some tables got theirs faster even though they were seated after us. Others, though, waited even longer than us. The manager came out and checked with us a few times, which was nice. The food itself was great and worth going back for. One downside was that they had a UFC game playing on two screens. It was not fun watching someone being bloodied while we ate. We were in Atlanta for the summer and this was by far our favorite burger place. My husband gets the smokehouse burger and I get the tuna burger. Both are divine. The smokehouse has pulled pork on it and the tuna burger is seared ahi cooked to your liking with a wasabi slaw on top and a sweet Thai chile sauce to dip or pour on. I got truffle fries with my order and the truffle aoili dipping sauce is to die for. The sweet potato fries aren't bad either. We also did a create your own shake that was phenomenal too. PB, Oreo and chocolate syrup. WOW. 10/10 would recommend however service can be a bit slow. For that I took one star off. read more
