Let me start this off by saying that I love the quality of bad ash bakes and that operations has made an incredibly successful turn around timing wise . Service is usually excellent but a less than 45 second interaction with the young lady doing expo at approximately 1:11pm on November 29th . Her attitude toward someone else who had come in and actually rushed her to get a customers order for delivery was completely different than our small interaction . Her response when I clarified my order asking if there was a s'more brownie or a cookie was abhorrent . Her attitude was not one that reflected the respect or acknowledgment that someone is spending their hard earned money to support this business . The ambiance was per usual busy, and aesthetically pleasing , filled with everyone excited to get their treats . I initially ordered a smore brownie but I realized with the clipped tone from the young lady at expo that it wasn't clarified to be the brownie I thought I ordered . I wish this business the best of luck but I won't be back because the young lady at the expo left a sour taste in my mouth . Was excited to finally go out and try this bakery out. Luckily the line was not bad as it was during the soft opening. The service good but the layout of where to order was a bit confusing and I had to ask another customer where to order. The ambiance was a little crowded and the couches to sit inside were not the best as they were super low. I get the esthetic but its not practical for a shop. The baked goods looked delicious for the most part but the cinnamon rolls looked a little sad and flat. I ordered the regular and matcha roll. Badash Bakes soft opened just a few days ago, but boy is it drawing a crowd. We pulled up at 9:32 for the 10 AM opening on Saturday morning and there was already a line of 25 people ahead of us. At least 75 people were behind us possibly more. Given the crowds and the fact that the bakery is so new, I was impressed with the efficiency of the small but mighty and friendly team. The line moved fairly quickly and they kept restocking goodies. The inside is small but cozy and inviting. All the baked goods were on display and there are plush, cozy, couches to sit on while you nosh. There were also a few tables outside. I went with an iced oat strawberry matcha latte, a matcha cinnamon roll, a regular cinnamon roll, a banana pudding, and a brown sugar cookie. I'm a hardass about matcha and this one was decent. Nice strawberry flavor that was well-balanced against the matcha. It did taste a little grainy, so I think it could've been whisked more and for a little longer. I could've done with a few more ice cubes also, but I think with time, this place will nail it. Each matcha is whisked to order and the preparation was there. With a few tweaks, I'd definitely try it again. On to the cinnamon rolls. I'm happy I was able to try both. That being said, my friend and I both agreed that the matcha one was superior. The umami of the matcha just elevated the sweet treat to a new level without overwhelming everything I love about a cinnamon roll. Great texture on both of them, soft with a good amount of frosting. Blew my mind! I came in at 4 PM on a Thursday and it seemed like they had stock left for each dessert. I thought their banana pudding was the best thing i ate and probably the best banana pudding I've ever had. The whipped cream/pudding part disintegrated in my mouth and rendered me speechless by how much flavor there was without being incredibly sweet. Both cinnamon rolls were great. I did not go to this store in person to get this, someone brought it to me. I have been watching the opening, hype and long lines from this store in the past few weeks and as much as I wanted to try them, I did not want to wait in the long lines. I would like to think I am a cookie connoisseur. I know how I like my cookies. Not to thick, but not too crispy. These were thin like I like and could have used maybe 1 more minute for the perfect texture. But I really liked them! The toffee one was surprisingly good! We split the coffee cake. It was okay. Nothing extraordinary but maybe with coffee would be wonderful. We also split the cinnamon roll. I liked it. But I do like my cinnamon rolls really big and fluffy with icing that is set. Which some may think is a bit much and decadent. This was perfectly normal size. The icing was a little runny so it isn't my favorite but all together perfectly fine. The 5 stars go to the cookies. She is very present in the day to day business, from cashier to barista and to making sure your order is properly packed in a box and handed straight to you. This bakery has a nice seating area indoors and 2 tables outside. They offer a variety of baked goods and beverages. There is a morning menu (7am-12pm) and an afternoon menu (12pm-6pm) for all the baked good. Come early if there are specific baked goods you like to try. The cinnamon roll was really nice and soft but somehow also felt a bit undercooked even though it did not look that way. It had a slightly mushy softness to it that is reminiscent of undercooked dough in a pancake. The matcha frosting was too sweet for me and not enough matcha flavor. Tried the double chocolate cookie and the matcha cookie (the day old ones for $2). The cookie is very soft with some chewiness. It's soo soft that if you do not hold it flat it can fold over. I've been wanting to stop by this spot since they first opened but the lines were always intimidating. They were close to closing and there was no line outside so I happily walked into the store. I was immediately greeted with smiles upon entry. You can actually feel their hospitality from the moment you walk in until the moment you leave. While that's obviously great for business, it's not ideal for customers who want to sit and enjoy their drinks and baked goods without feeling rushed or crowded. Most of the staff were friendly, but my interaction with one of the girls packaging the cookies was disappointing. When I asked her about the flavors for the "yesterday's cookies", she was pretty short with me without offering any explanation if I could just take one, or what the flavors were. None of the cookies were labeled, so obviously it's hard to tell which cookie is what. This review is mainly focused on the cookies and my experience with the unfriendly team member. I tried the "yesterday's cookie" brown sugar and the freshly baked toffee chocolate chip cookies. Both were a solid 3 stars. The flavors were decent, but the cookies were extremely thin, so much so that they fell apart when I picked them up. At $4 per fresh-baked cookie, the quality didn't justify the price for me. Interestingly, the "yesterday cookies" were $2 and tasted just as good, making them a much better value. I might come back to try some of their other baked goods or a drink, but as far as the cookies go, they were just okay.
