I ordered the personal pepperoni pizza, since the other option were just too large for one person. The personal is large enough for two people, the crust was crispy without being brittle. Of course I also had to order cheesy bread and despite it being way too much food for one person, that was the first thing I ate. First time ordering from this location. The Falls Church location is our preferred one. But this one is closest to our house. Ordered thru Uber Eats for pick up. Everything was easy. The bad was the hot sauce leaked all over the place through the cardboard pizza boxes. There has to be a better way to contain the sauce without it leaking. A mess on my son's pants and car seat. When we got it home the food was warm to cold. It took only 10 mins to get home. The medium sauced wings weren't crispy but soggy. I had to reheat and recrisp in the air fryer. The pit bbq wings tasted better but also soggy. Wished there was a way on Uber Eats app to customize the order to get the wings extra crispy. The handful of celery was meh. This is a pick-up (or delivery) only place, so there is no ambience to speak of. The waiting area is small, so I think they routinely over estimate the preparation time in order to avoid crowding. I normally arrive five or more minutes early and usually find my pizza just leaving the oven or even out on a shelf. The pizzas are generous in size and generous with the toppings, which reach out right to the edge of the pie. The "personal" size pizza provides four meals for my wife and me, but note we are both 89 years old. One personal pizza would probably satisfy a large teenage boy. "Cup char" pepperoni is standard. Definitely a step down from their Falls Church location, which was an easy 5-star review of mine. The McLean location is always letting me down for one reason or another. My first-time visiting was a pickup of a large order for a party. We were given a 30 minute wait time and showed up about 35 minutes after the order. While we had already been charged, the restaurant forgot to start our order. The food was good enough on this occasion. The second time was a personal delivery for my fiancé and I. She had a gluten free pie with pepperoni; I had a personal pie with banana peppers and onion. They mixed up our delivery, leaving us with pizzas neither of us wanted. Both pies were well-cooled and were starting to get soggy. I left a review on Uber and they never responded. The third, and final experience was the worst. We were on our way home and placed an order set to arrive right about the time we did. Right as we arrived at home, I received a message that my order was cancelled. For Super Bowl Sunday my family wanted some cheesy bread and wings, so, expecting a lot of orders coming in, at around 4:30 I ordered some hot wings for my daughter, some bbq pit wings for me and my wife, and an order of cheesy bread. Delivery was supposed to be at 6:15, but we didn't get our food until 7:48 (almost 3.5 hours after ordering). The Doordash driver texted me to apologize and said she's been waiting at the restaurant for 40 minutes. When the food finally arrived, the bbq wings were missing and the hot wings and cheesy bread were completely cold - seems like they had been waiting 45 minutes on the counter, as well. Even the celery that was included with the wings had started to go bad. This left my wife and I without the main part of our dinner. I called to complain and was told they were not going to send the bbq wings I ordered almost 4 hours ago and couldn't do anything about the food being cold (blamed it on DoorDash - which I knew to be false as I had seen the driver pick up my food 15 minutes before after she had waited), and the most they could do was give me a refund for the missing wings. I will confirm that they actually do that, but, in any event, it is the least they could do (as I wasn't delivered the food I paid for) and is totally unacceptable. My wife and I are left without the dinner we ordered. The food has been good in the past, which is why I gave it two stars, but there are plenty of good places out there, and I won't be ordering delivery from here again. read more

Finally decided to try Baddpizza...and spoiler alert, LOVED it. It's a little pricey but worth it considering it blows all McLean pizza competitors out of the sauce. The crust is medium weight, not too thick or thin. The sauce has excellent flavor, spicy with some sweetness coming through. And the pepperonis cups are excellent! As a Buffalo native and wing snob, I could not be happier to know this place is a short drive from DC! I tried a few things off of the menu during their opening weekend and can't wait to go back. Let me tell you I grew up in upstate NY and my parents are from Buffalo NY, so I have eaten my fair share of pizza. Moving to Northern Virginia I have been on a search for my go to pizza place. I have tried several different pizza places in the area, but none as good as this!! Where do I start, first off you should have some expectations going in as to what a Buffalo-style pizza is, as it is a little different from a typical NY Style pizza. What to expect is somewhat thick crust (not exactly thick but not exactly thin either) topped with a sweet sauce, plenty of cheese, with the toppings and sauce all the way up to the end of the crust (making the crust coastline a little slimmer). Buffalo-style pizza is also known for the cup-and-char pepperoni (those are the pepperonis that curl up around the edges in the oven... YUM). I invited my Buffalonian parents over for pizza and wings. We ordered an 18" pizza with pepperoni and red onion along with an order of 20 medium wings and an order of 10 mild wings. I wish I took a photo of my food because it was beautifully executed. The taste- everything I had hoped for!!! It tasted exactly like the many pizzas I have eaten while visiting family in Buffalo. You can tell the owners put a lot of thought into absolutely nailing every element. The pizza was delicious and the wings... I normally don't eat wings unless I am in Buffalo, but I put my faith in Baddpizza and I was not disappointed!!! They were crispy on the outside and perfectly done on the inside. OMG. Who knew this place would be to awesome. Had the first experience last week and the food was fantastic!!! There was a small hiccup in one of the items and the staff was more than willing to make up for it. The food was so good we told the manager that we would come back next week and they could make it up then. The following week we returned and the manager Cody recognized us and instantly said this would be the best sub we ever had. We get home and the food was more than we expected even after an awesome experience that previous week. Seriously the best Philly Chicken Steak sandwich in many years of traveling the US for work!!! Tried it for the first time and ordered a specialty pie with a bucket of wings (hot & bbq) Online ordering is a piece of cake. Picking up was also simple and quick. Thoughts on the pie before first bite: pricier but maybe it's because it's a Buffalo style (and I've never tried Buffalo pizza before, so why not). After the first bite I was blown away at how doughy it was and delicious!! Perfect amount of sauce, toppings, and crust was perfect! I can see why it's priced the way it is. I've ordered from here twice. They have good covid procedures: order by phone or online and they bring it out to your car. The pizza is on the pricey end and unless you are fond of Buffalo pizza, not worth the price. The cup and char pepperoni is pretty good, but the rest of the pizza is wanting. The crust isn't quite as crusty or charred as I'd like and it's doughier than other pizzas. Wings are decent but under sauced. I ordered 20 wings online and chose the mild option and the hot option. I expected two boxes of 10 wings each, but instead got one box of 20 wings. None of the wings were mild, and none were particularly hot. I'm not sure what the cooks did, mix mild and hot sauce? In any case, the wings were spicy enough that nobody besides me would eat them. Not great for a family dinner... Finally, the cheesesteak is mediocre. Too small and not great bread, but otherwise fine. All in all, this may be a nice change of pace if you're in a pizza rut, but this definitely won't displace our regular go-to pizza joint. read more

I can't express how much the car smelled like home in the drive home from our pick up. The pizza was perfectly puffy, sweet paste saucy, thick cheesey, and the charred pepperoni cups DEAR JESUS. While this pizza is not exactly bad, it's decidedly not good. The sauce tastes suspiciously like Hunt's tomato paste with no additional flavoring. The cheese is largely tasteless, and the crust is weirdly chewy. Northern Virginia is no pizza Mecca, but there are many places that are better -- Italian Store, Pupatella, even Domino's. Ordered lunch on a Friday in the store. Most ridiculous wait ever for pizzas.. 1 hour.. that's correct. Only two staff working (both are friendly and working hard). Was told 15-20mins wait when placing order, ended up being 60. Management needs to hire more people, or else don't take orders when you can't fill. Just found this place. The pizza is huge and delicious! We wife have to be gluten free. For her the food is made from cauliflower. Yummy!!!!

We'd been hopeful for something different, unique or maybe even good, but ended up being disappointed. We got a half pizza (veggie) and an order of wings. The toppings were plentiful and fresh, although the olives were those tasteless, rubbery black rings that so many pizza places use. The cheese was just average; no flavor of its own, neither offensive or pleasing. The tomato sauce was interesting, a little sweeter than most but above average. The real disappointment was the crust. It was more bread than crust. More puffy than chewy but overall very unremarkable. There's certainly a place in this world for average pizza, assuming it's cheap, but these pies are expensive and don't deliver on the promise of better quality for the price. The wings were good but we generally find that most places can do a good chicken wing, and there's nothing here that makes these wings standout. If you Ike puffy-bread pizza this might be the place for you, but we won't be going back; there are too many better and cheaper alternatives out there. read more

YUM! Tried Baddpizza for the first time while visiting home and it's so good! I wish there was a location in DC so i could get it more often. The wings had crispy skin and were nice and juicy and the BBQ sauce is amazing and tastes like it's made in house! The white cheesesteak pizza was amazing too and the half size is perfect for 2-3 people to split. The dough is 100% the all star of my meal - i'm normally not a crust eater but I devoured it all :) Definitely will be getting food there again and trying out other items on the menu! read more
