We had electrical issues in the home and called Badger for a diagnotics. Appointment was made, but they suggested calling PGE first to make sure everything was OK from street to meter. PGE came out, and sure enough we had loose connection at the meter. PGE did the fix and everything was OK. Two days later, our Honeywell Home thermostat went black. There is no batteries, so that was not the issue. Called Badger again for help. We rebooked the appointment, but they suggested we reset the fuse box. Did that and problem fixed. While we've not had the opportunity to actually hire them, they saved us the cost of two unnecessary service calls. Customer service is awesome and the ladies in the front office are great. I won't hesitate to call first next time we have an electrical issue. read more

Had Badger come by to replace the main breaker in my electrical panel, which needed the meter removed (permit required also).. The electrician looked at the panel and said he wouldn't touch it, the main breaker was fused to the bussbar. He said panel needed to be replaced, gave estimate of $3800 plus the permit ($300). I had another company look at it, said no problem. Breaker replaced, city inspected, all good. $250 plus the permit. read more

Wish I had checked these reviews earlier, they don't look stellar. We had a technician come out to intstall 3 outlet receptacles in our house, and we were told the total would be labor + materials. First off, Patrick our technician was fast and friendly, and as we understood it to be his first day with the company, I don't blame him for how the parts were priced for the work we had done. Patrick, you did great and were not the problem. Badger - Mary specifically: When we got our bill for $490, we asked you to itemize it, by which you merely separated the labor cost from the parts without actually line itemizing parts next to their individual cost. The labor total was fair and understood, however, for three power outlets and their respective plates, we were charged $165 ($55/ea). I'm a repair person in an adjacent industry, and a little research showed that the most expensive version of these outlets retail at $25/ea - at worst. I understand wholesale vs. retail pricing, and the only way 3 receptacles cost $165 is if they marked each one up - from TOP RETAIL price - by 120% ($25/ea to $55/ea). So Badger, since you failed to itemize my bill, now you have a second chance to answer here. In what world do three power receptacles and their respective cover plates cost $165. Hurry, you're losing more business! I hope you made good money off me, as I think continual crummy reviews of your business is costing you far more in the long run. read more

Unfortunately I cannot give zero stars. Like many people on this platform reviewing Badger Electric, I've never left a negative review before. They are truly inspiring. They are currently doing work on the basement of my 1940s apartment building, directly below my apartment, and the noise is horrendous, starts at 7:30am, and they are unwilling to start later. This work is apparently being spearheaded by the electric company, so my building manager hasn't had much of the information about what's going to happen and when. So, I was painfully awakened by continuous and loud banging, scraping, and other noises around 8am on Monday, that I did not have a heads up for - incredibly not trauma informed. I believe in approaching things directly, with curiosity & compassion. When I have approached the Badger Electric people (twice) to get information about when they will be making noise, the person called "Brian" has been rude and dismissive, and mansplained at length about all of the wires they are running, instead of answering my questions directly. I understand that noises are required for their work, and am not asking them to not do it, but simply was seeking information about when so I could have a trauma informed experience of this very disruptive period of what sounds like it will be three weeks. However, They are inconsiderate, seem to have no understanding or respect for the fact that they are daily entering other peoples' homes and making a lot of noise at a time when many people are sleeping. I really hope that Brian and the decisions they have made about when they "have to" start working every day, and how to so rudely respond to the logical questions of the people they are impacting with their work, are not representative of other experiences of working with this contractor, but based on this experience, if you want to not be treated terribly, do not hire this company. Kindness would be a great tool to add to your toolkit if this is the line of work you choose. read more

These people are the worst. The work they did was very sloppy and looked terrible. It took them over a month to fix all the awfully placed outlets with little to no communication from them. They destroyed my walls/ceiling installing lights and outlets and when I asked for someone to fix that, the guy who came out basically said I could do it myself. They blamed it on lathe and plaster, but my previous electrician had no problem doing the exact same work. No wonder he was booked and Badger has availability. Run far away from these people unless you want mismatched, weirdly placed, and very messy electric. read more

I would like to preface this by saying I have never left a negative review on Yelp. Sad to say my experience with Badger Electric was negative from beginning to end. Electrician originally fixed the problem (great) but then before he left I had more outlets NOT working then I did before he showed up. He tried multiple things, called the owner, replaced unnecessary parts and never figured out the issue. Nearly 4 hours later he still hadn't resolved the problem. The only way to get my outlets working again was the reroute those outlets. As if that wasn't bad enough....they sent me a bill (marked PAST DUE, 3 months later) charging me for the time and parts he spent trying to fix the problem he created. I had called them twice within the first week to pay them over the phone and both times they told me they had not received the paperwork from the electrician yet, so they didn't know how much my bill was. They said they tried calling me twice but I NEVER received a voicemail or email from them. When I called them about the billed I received USPS, the person I talked to said she would check into it and call me back 2/11, that never happened. I called back today, 2/15 to get resolution and she said she would credit me back 1.5 hours. Which is fine, I guess, but sometimes it's not about the money. All in all, my experience left me feeling that they are not running a very professional company and are winging it, which is not something you want in an electrician. read more

First: Our store had machinery down and they moved less critial work around to get us scheduled the next day. Even after we struggled to get land lord approval until the last minute. Second: Working with the estimator was easy and educational. Third: The work crew showed up knowing exactly what was discussed with the estimator. The work was flawless and non intrusive . If you are looking for a timely written proposal for a project, I would steer clear of this company. The owner is super nice and has a lovely demeaner, in person. I was looking forward to working with him. BUT he is either completely disorganized, or so overwhelmed with other projects that he cannot begin to provide professional service, at least for us. Despite 2 site visits (one with PGE), and multiple follow up emails and phone calls, and OVER 8 months of waiting, we have yet to see a written proposal. Consequentially, this has had a domino effect, requiring multiple delays with projects/contractors that cannot be started until this portion is at least partially completed. It seems pretty apparent that as time progresses, everything is getting more and more expensive. I cannot adequately convey how upset and frustrated I am, and feel I was led on by the promise of forthcoming written bids which never materialized. On top of that, when I asked for a copy of the site notes, and a written scope of work, they had a mere paragraph of a description, so I cannot even expedite with a new company. We will be will be starting from scratch. (For reference, I don't write negative on-line reviews. But this has been upsetting enough to make an exception). read more

We used Badger Electric to update some of the electrical work in the house we just purchased. Everything turned out great, mostly thanks to their main technician, Mike. I wasn't sure about this company at first because they were very hard to get a hold of and their receptionists seemed a bit overwhelmed & disorganized. When Mike and a few other guys finally showed up to do the job, they were super friendly, knowledgeable, helpful and kind. They got the job done and got it done right. BEWARE!! Previous reviews are oh so accurate. This company does not have any customer service at all and it is doubtfull that the technicians are really licensed. After 3 days,5 technicians and damage to my brand NEW home I FIRED Badger!!!!! They did such a HORRIBLE job that Globe Lighting, who refered Badger and the light fixture manufacture sent out 2 master technicians to re-do ALL of Badgers work. Badger was also removed from Globe Lightings referal list. Todd from Badger, claims to be the owner. He was by far the WORST, least responsive and most unethical of the bunch. They are aptly named because you literally have to "Badger" them to come do a job! I have lost count of how many times I had to call them. It took months to actually have them complete the job. The job was fine and we discussed at the time a few other projects that we had. (Not small dollar jobs!) When I started calling them in early December to schedule, the same thing happened. They came out as subcontractors for an A/C install. They arrived early and didn't call first. They couldn't figure out how to get wiring from our basement to the back of the house and initially proposed running wire along the outside the whole way, which I told him was not acceptable. He spent about an hour trying to figure out how to get from the panel to the attic, whining a lot about how many window we have, like we were supposed to apologize. We insisted it was clearly doable, since we'd had the whole house rewired last year, but he couldn't figure it out. He ended up running an outside cable from the basement to the attic, then going through the attic, then outside the back of the house. It looks terrible and I had to listen to this guy whine about it for five hours while he did it. I would certainly never hire them directly and will complain to the HVAC company that they should fine someone else to subcontract to. read more

We had the service from Badger, it ended up they charged us 5 1/2 hours of service actually it was only 3 hours, the extra 2 1/2 hours they put on us all because the electrician got lost, and this was all after we e mailed and questioned them multiple times , the owner only agreed to take one hour off! Also be aware of their bill, we had to ask for the break down/itemized details. The electrician's work was good though. Overall, use them with caution!! read more
