That's why this particular interaction stood out so much. One employee was incredibly rude and dismissive from the start. I wasn't asking for anything unreasonable, yet I was treated as if I was an inconvenience. His tone was disrespectful, his attitude was hostile, and the entire interaction left me wondering why someone working with customers would choose to speak to people that way. What frustrated me even more was that when I calmly asked for his name, he refused to give it to me. He also wasn't wearing a name tag. If you're willing to treat customers poorly, you should at least be willing to identify yourself when asked. The other employees I've encountered here have always been courteous and professional, which makes this person's behavior even more disappointing. One employee shouldn't be able to damage the reputation that the rest of the staff works hard to build. I don't know what was going on with him that day, but there is simply no excuse for treating customers with that level of disrespect. You go through the line choosing what will go in your bowl. At the end of the line the staff adds your seasoning and you tell them how much spice. They also add the noodles. Then you watch as they expertly cook your food on the giant fry pan, walking around and moving the food with those big wooden sticks. As soon as it is done they place the giant portion of food into a to go box. Please put a couple of dollars on the tip jar :) Since this restaurant is in the mall I'm sure their rent and other expenses are high. So you know the food will be a little more expensive. It's 16.99 before tax for 1. The quality of the freshly cooked food is worth it and the portion is huge. You really could share with a few other people or take home for another meal. Out of all the Mongolian places in any mall I've ever been to, this one is still the best. The portions are huge and if you fill your bowl with too many ingredients and they can't fit as much noodles on top, they'll add more noodles when they're cooking your food. You can tell that everyone who works here is always working hard. My only "complaint" is that they charge 10¢ for a to go bag when everyone else in the food court gives it to you for free but it's not that big of a deal. read more

Just ordered two make your own bowls with my sister, female cashier with light brown hair asked if we wanted a bag and we said yes, she gave us our bowls and threw away our receipt. We made our food and remembered we needed the bag and went to the cashier asking for the bag she didn't give us. She said it would be 10 cents but we reminded her she didn't give us the bag and she threw away our receipt. She kept asking, "Did you pay for a bag" and we kept repeating we asked and should have been charged already. She then with an attitude said "It's only 10 cents" and we replied we already asked and it's "only a bag". I've been coming to this restaurant for years now and when I heard it was being remodeled I was a bit nervous the food quality might change but I was absolutely wrong. The bowls are still out of this world, offering four choices of meats and a ton of vegetables. If it was for that promotion, I'd be pretty upset. I had the option to pick up to 5 meats, I picked 2, and got less meat than a street taco. So act now on Uber eats to get 2 plates of 2 pounds of noodles and 0.25oz of a meat of your choice for $16.99. I imagine the extra charge of $2.99 for shrimp would mean you would only get 1 decent sized shrimp and 1 tiny shrimp. 100% would not recommend, unless you want to be disappointed. read more

I have been eating here for decades. Back when I was a teen to being an adult with teens of my own. The food is always great and the portions greater. I have been here countless times and never had a bad experience. It does make me sad seeing what the mall has become from what it was. When I visited way back when, the mall was a bustling place, full on most of my visits. I even worked here back in the day and enjoyed the employee discounts. Now the mall is still nice and well kept. The food court is still huge, with many names changing over the years, but Genghis Khan has been a staple for a long time now, that still has long lines during meal times. I love getting my food, watching them cook it (and having my tip money in my hand to guarantee some extra noodles). Then I enjoy eating it and people watching. I know some people don't have the best reviews of this place, but it is great at what it does. It gives you a large flavorful meal at a fair price. read more

So you pay a flat fee to stuff as much food as you like into a bowl?! Genius! Been eating here for years and perfected the trick to securely pile as much food as possible. Have the frozen meat sticking up around the outside of the bowl and pile the veggies in the middle. See my photo for example. The staff at this spot is always friendly and the cooks are fast and efficient so the line moves fast. I usually have them add every single available sauce for the best flavor. They always give you extra noodles without having to ask. My 8-year old recently discovered he loves their food so we've been coming pretty often for a quick dinner. At the end of the line they cook your ingredients on a large flat iron cooktop, and then scoop it into your Togo container, this is great because it's likely you will be taking some to go due to the large portion size! I haven't been to a mall food court in probably over 4 years. Unfortunately, I chose the wrong place. We went on a Friday evening after work and the line was really long. It took well over 20 minutes to get our food. Since this was the only place with a long line, we thought the food would be decent but it definitely lacked any flavor. We got a combo plate which included a drink, soup and the main dish. The only good thing was the drink. The soup was the worst but the main dish wasn't that much better. I've come here several times because I like Mongolian barbecue. I know it's a food court franchise. Prices unfortunately are getting higher like everywhere else in the U.S. A bowl and soda are going to be near $20. You can also order a combo which includes rice and soup. After selecting proteins and vegetables to stuff into the bowl, and being excited, they then pile on a ton of noodles. I haven't had time to ask them to hold back some noodles. The last few times I ate here, the meal ended up being about 90% noodles and I tried to fish out the other ingredients. The meat gets separated during cooking so the pieces are small and hard to get. I typically fill my bowl with chicken, carrots, broccoli and mushrooms. I often separate the noodles into the other half of the stryofoam container to cool them off and try to excavate to the meat and vegetables I prefer to consume. I've ordered various ingredients as toppings -- garlic or no garlic -- and it's hard to distinguish the flavors once everything is cooked. The people there are friendly enough but there's not much interaction with them. The food court is fairly loud and not very pleasing as a dining option. Though I like the ability to pick your own ingredients to cram into the tiny bowl, the overwhelming abundance of noodles will keep me from returning. If you're shopping and need a food court meal, you could do worse. But I'm noodled out from here. read more

Used to be like $10 a bowl, and now its closer to $15 after tax. But still worth it in my opinion, simply because one bowl literally feeds like four people.
