I was excited to find this place. Today was the second time I get soup here, I sent my friend to go pick some up for me since I'm sick. When he tried to pay with cash they did not want to accept the money, I had to Zelle him money to pay and that's only because he did me the favor (I would of walked out). I am so annoyed for the inconvenience and the treatment he received , we paid cash last week with out any problem so not sure what the deal is... all I know is I will not be going back or recommending this place anymore. read more

To start off with cashier was really nice she answered the questions we had and was friendly. Everything else tried was tasty and good. We had to take ours to go so I was a bit leery of how it would taste once we reheated it but it was good. We had the Bafang signature dumplings and potstickers both were very tasty. The chicken and corn dumplings and potstickers we loved. The bafang noodles were good and the corn chowder soup was awesome. Overall we give the food a 9/10. While I was very excited to have a new dumpling operation open in the Torrance area I was very disappointed with Bafang. I tried 5 / 6 different dishes and found the food very bland. Additionally, the dumplings were extremely small and tasted like they came from the frozen dumplings that they sell. I honestly can go to any market buy a bag of dumplings and have a better quality food experience. I wouldn't go back again as there are so many alternative options within the Southbay. read more

We tried the food and were not impressed. It's me and my teenage boys for dinner - we ordered quite a bit- 6 veggie dumplings, combo #2, beef noodle soup, pork chop and fried chicken, and two drinks. Total was about $70 quite pricey. The service was good, staff was very helpful. The place is clean. The food quality was fast food grade, like gas station food. They serve the food very hot which is a plus. The hot and sour soup was not that good (it's very thick and white in color I was expecting darker, not sour, it was spicy but no taste). Maybe I'm comparing to Ding Tai Fung but I think I can buy frozen dumplings and heat them up at home and save the money then eating at this place. The pork chop and fried chicken was fresh and crispy but it has a five spice taste so its acquired taste. My sons do not like them. The beef noodle soup portion was huge and tasted good but some of the beef pieces were dry and chewy. Worst is we had diarrhea 2 hours after dinner. Ordered a wide variety---everything was tasteless and cold. Counter persona was not knowledgeable and unfriendly. Sat down after ordering & paying with our number. After 20 minutes I went back and questioned delay. I was told that they ran out of hot sour soup and they were waiting for another batch. Counter person offered the rest of our meal for me to take to table which I did because by then we were pretty hungry. The potstickers, dumplings, meat & noodles were all cold. They must have been sitting there for some time. Food was edible except for the noodles that were awful. Sauces available for dumplings were not good either. Went back up to pick up soup. At least soup was hot in temperature, but bland in taste. Ambiance was like the eating area at IKEA or a cafeteria at a college dorm. Very bright and utilitarian. First time at this place, and I wasn't impressed. The signature potstickers & signature dumplings weren't bad and not too expensive. However, the service sucks. Whether dining in or taking out, you have to self-serve the various sauces into portion cups. That's fine if they would fill the sauce dispensers! Asked for them to refill them when we ordered and were getting a table. Was about a 10 minute wait for the food to be picked up. Guess what? Still no sauces. Requested refills, again. Meanwhile, our food was getting cold... Finally, a very sullen employee came out to take the sauce dispenser in to refill. So, we had to wait for that to happen, him to finish cleaning the station, and finally got our condiments. It'll be awhile, if ever, till we go back. It's so refreshing that a new establishment like this didn't ask for Tips or add Service Charge your food order!!! I would have gladly gave the servers tips because they were extremely friendly and courteous. I came on their Grand Opening here in Torrance and I can't be happier that it's so close to my office. They are known for their Potstickers. But everyone should try their cold side dishes that's by the cashier. Amazing authentic Taiwanese flavors. It goes so very well with the potstickers. We were curious about this place so we hit it up for dinner last night. It is fast casual dining with a mix of very enjoyable and "meh" items . The wait for the food temperature of the dumplings were what you would expect. We had decided to order two combo meals for hubby, young daughter and myself with a side of noodles so we could try a variety of items. The little one said she wanted dumplings but she's never been much of an actual fan of them. And sure enough she surprised us by attacking the signature pot stickers, which we all agreed were truly craveable. The noodles and my hot and sour soup were nothing to write home about, (and my soup could have been slightly hotter,) but hubby really enjoyed his wanton soup. My combo came with three types of dumplings, and we all loved the pork ones and hubby and I enjoyed the kimche ones. The ones with the corn were good, but not spectacular. Omg! So glad we stopped in to try this place. Everything we ordered was delicious and packed with savory flavors. The Beef Noodle soup was spectacular... spicy deliciousness and pairs well with the dumplings too. We tried both the traditional potstickers and the pork & kimchi dumplings. Lots of dipping sauces to meet every flavor preference. The staff also excellent at helping us navigate our first visit. We recommended to friends while still sitting in the restaurant and everyone has been running in to give it a try. Great addition to our neighborhood. read more

Everything was yummy. Good choices for a vegetarian. The veggie potstickers are good but my favorite is having the signature noodle with the small side dishes, especially the Taiwanese style kimchi~ The old fashioned noodles are good too. The sesame noodles I tried last time were a bit try. Old fashioned black tea is not too sweet. Vegetarians be careful none of the soups are vegetable base. This place has terrible service. I came here on 7/3/2024 around 6 PM. Even taking the order took over 10 minutes. Then I had to wait for food for easily over 20 minutes. The food was just sitting at the counter without lids. The staff didn't know which food belonged to which customer, so the food just got colder and colder due to poor customer service. I saw a family waiting as well, and they were given cold food without any apology. Many other people were also waiting for over 20 minutes. They gave us warm food after the wait, and while I'm glad they did, if they hadn't, I would have refused to eat it and asked for a refund. There were two staff members in the front who were not helpful at all, but then a lady showed up and actually started serving (she is the reason why we were able to get warm food). Don't come here if you don't want to get annoyed. The food was pretty good, but I was really disappointed with the service. read more

Less than a hundred reviews for a new establishment and already an average of 3.5 stars. I am dining in and seeing that the best way to order and get service is to order online! Lots of people getting fed before me. I'm also noticing other diners eating-in are getting up from their seats to get additional assistance back from the counter. This is ridiculous. I feel totally forgotten sitting here waiting for my food. Fire management immediately if this place is to succeed! Not even a manager on duty during the night shift to assist these young dorks here during the dinner hour. I waited over 30 minutes for a few potstickers and soup. There weren't any clean tables to sit and I saw a mother and father wiping the tables themselves. The potstickers were greasy and disgusting.
