I went with my grown kids a year ago for lunch and the food is great. Sunday we went with only six people and the clerk who seats you stated you are a group of six and we will add a 18 PERCENT gratuity to your bill. We walked out. We didn't think it was fair. Maybe ten or more but not six so the restaurant make no money on us instead of the food minus a gratuity and then we would tip appropriately. They are greedy to make a huge profit but lost out here. Had a delicious dinner tonight at Bag O Crab. Service was great. Our server was very attentive to our needs. Anything we needed the girls were very helpful. Second time dining in and was not disappointed. Customer service was actually better. Our first time was a year ago. This time around our server was friendly and interacted with our kids. They received a prize out of a treasure box after the meal. Lots of improvements in customer service! Food is delicious. Atmosphere is welcoming and our kids love the robot cats they personally named Kitten and Mitten. Excellent place for a small town. We'll definitely dine here again. This place is exactly what the Central Valley needed! The food here is very delicious and packed with so much flavor. The only reason I didn't give 5 stars is because I ordered mussles and crawfish in their signature sauce and my mussles nor my crawfish was cooked all the way. My crawfish was kind of cold and my mussle shells weren't even opened so I couldn't fully enjoy my meal like I wanted to. However that is not going to stop me from going back because everything else I ordered was spectacular. read more

There amazing!! Better then the one in Pismo beach, better then most. There seasoning and the sauce is so delicious. The staff is very nice and very professional the food is well done and very delicious, I would really recommend it to those who want to try it and I would most definitely be going every time I am in Merced. The food is not bad at all, i had the atomic sauce spicy level seafood boil, lemon pepper chicken wings and garlic fries...all very tasty and wings are crispy not oily at all. Service is good too. We ran into this place by chance. The atmosphere is just okay. Wait staff nice and friendly, decent service. The food and everything we ordered was delicious and cooked perfectly. I read other reviews and I would like to mention that people need to remember this is seafood people and seafood by nature, is pricey. Dont go if you're trying to fill yourself up with the least dollars. Also they give you a bib and plastic gloves. Don't go there expecting things to not be messy. We had a Med spicy boiled bag, order of gumbo and calamari rings. Everything we had was awesome. The med spicy is certainly spicy. I hope this place makes it. We are visiting but if we are ever within an hour drive of this place again we would definitely make the drive to come again. Good luck to them. read more

This place was awesome! My only complaint is the sauce they toss the crab in (I ordered the crab roll) was expecting it to be just the crab meat plain on the bread with melted butter on the side. Not a big deal I rinsed off the sauce and used my daughters drawn butter from her snow crab bag which exceeded her expectations. My daughter got the snow crab legs in garlic butter medium spicy and they were amazingly good, nice portion and the flavor was on point! Will be returning for sure! Prices a little high but as long as you keep a hefty portion of everything consistently it makes the prove worth it! read more

Really tasty. The crab, shrimp, and muscles all were great! I didn't eat the potatoes cuz I'm just not a huge fan of potatoes that aren't mashed or covered in cheese, but overall some of the best seafood I've had this far away from a beach. read more

One of my favorite sea food place I have been in. The lemon chicken wings are amazing. They are soo good. The fries are really good as well. I really recommend this place. Another thing that made this visit better was the servers humor and personality. Most restaurants, the servers are dry and barely talkative. The lady that was our server, she made it much better. We need more women like her. Wish I can give more than 5 stars. I would give 10 stars. read more

A bit messy, but if you checked out the menu, and style before you go you'll know that. My husband and I ordered a combo dinner. . . .1lb of Alaskan King Crab, 3/4lb heads off shrimp, 2 pieces corn on the cob, red potatoes, and sausage in garlic butter. We also ordered a calamari appetizer. You're given paper plates, a ton of napkins, and a packet with plastic gloves, before your bag o food is delivered via robot to your table. The food was all very good and plentiful, as we brought home a bag o leftovers for our kids. I would have liked to have had a fork, for the red potatoes, as the food comes very hot, and whole patatoes take longer to cool to the point of being manageable. The robots are cute, but the tune they play gets annoying, after hearing it repeat, each time it makes a delivery. Finally, it's not a low cost dinner, our bill, including tip, was $105. Considering the amount of seafood, I don't believe that to be out of line. read more
