This place has been a go to for me for many years. I absolutely love their vegetarian bagel sandwich. Service is always quick and efficient.

Super professional, ordered Thai tea which I recommend (kids ordered Bobba which is a +). Staff were welcoming.

I have been coming to Bagel Bakery since I was teeny tiny so I was bummed when the bagel bakery on the hill turned to bagel kitchen because it was just not up to par. I was stoked when they opened in the country club gate area. Their bagels are delicious and perfectly done, crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. My husband got the blueberry bagel and cinnamon raisin bagel with honey butter and enjoyed the sweetness of the bagel and the honey butter. I got an onion bagel with sprouts turkey mayo and cheese and it was also super delicious. If you like something simple like just a bagel and cream cheese, this is also a good option because their bagels are so tasty. The service was good, they were nice and fast. Their bagels are also reasonably priced. My sandwich bagel was around $4.50 while in other places sandwich bagels go for upwards of 6 or more dollars. A bagel with spread is around $2. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone. Whenever I come home for the holidays this is usually the first place I check out! read more

Used to love this place, been a regular for years. Just went at 2:30 (hours say you close at 3pm) because my pregnant fiancé was craving a Kupermans. I got the rudest most rushed service I think I have ever gotten anywhere from the women behind the counter with glasses. Like I was burdening her for wanting to give your establishment my money. I will go to one of the three other bagel places within a mile of yours from now on and tell everyone I know to do the same. Close the doors if you are going to charge full price and act like you are closed 30 minutes before your posted hours. I love this place! They're always so personable and since I go pretty often I get greeted by name, with a big smile, asking how I'm doing. Specifically by Henry, he's so nice and treats all his customers with gratitude. I typically stick to ordering the same thing because it's so good but they have a great variety of different bagel options to choose from. Even noticed they offer breakfast burritos now! I'm so glad that the Bagel Bakery opened a new location after Bagel Kitchen moved into their old one. The service is so much better here (very polite and friendly) and my order came out so fast! ^_^ This is a great place that I recommend all of my friends to come to when they are in the area because of their fresh bagels and ingredients. While making a quick stop to find a Christmas present in one of the Forest Hill shops, I decided to grab a bite at the Bagel Bakery. I haven't been such a fan of the Bagel Bakery in recent years--all their shops on the Peninsula seem to have slipped in quality of food and service lately--but I was starving and desperate for some sustenance. I got there shortly before closing, so the selection was pretty slim. My favorite--the super seed bagel--was out, so I settled for the cheddar, toasted, with light cream cheese. Wasn't bad, flavorwise, but definitely pretty greasy once the cheddar warmed up. Service wasn't too bad this time, but I definitely got the impression the crew was ready to close up shop for the day. Next time, I'll just tough it out and pick up something from Trader Joe's up the street. read more

Less than a week ago I went to the bagel bakery to ask about cream cheese pricing because I am throwing a party. They quoted me a price for the containers. I went in today to make a purchase and the price had nearly doubled. When I asked about the price increase all they said was the price went up. I was pressed for time so I had no other choice but to accept it. Very upsetting that they price gouge over the holiday weekend. I will not be giving them my business again. read more

I have been going to the Bagel Bakery for the past 20 years (since I was 4/5), and must say it is the BEST bagel shop ever. I have had my share of bagels in Manhattan, and let me say, good as they may be.... They still can't beat the BB in PG... Mostly because the BB makes the best herb cream cheese you will ever eat in your life. This is no joke. That stuff is heaven. The atmosphere of the "new" (it's been there for several years now, but will always be the "new" spot to me), isn't quite as good as the old spot. I miss the days when the servers had dreads, and listened their music on an old boom box. Now the shop is a bit more cookie-cutter/ what one would expect. But for that cream cheese, and those delicious bagels, I can overlook the atmosphere. Run in, grab my bagels, and head to the beach to eat them... read more

This place is soooooooo good. Stayed in pebble beach for 3 days and ended up going here every day because I got hooked! Bagels are perfect and ingredients are very fresh. Can't wait to go back next time I visit pebble beach. Oh and that staff is friendly, fast and efficient. read more

We have been coming to the Bagel Bakery since they first opened with their squeaky screen door - if you remember the door then you are an old-timer like me! :) and have loved every minute of it! We moved to Portland Oregon a few years ago and went through a dry spell of bagels since nothing up here compares. We got smart one day and realized that there is a UPS store next door and WHAM! 2nd day shipping!!! WOO HOO!!! We ask a friend to pick up the bagels and they just go next door and ship them off to meet their doom. LOL :) Every couple of months we get a fresh batch of bagels. yummy! A bagel joint which is pretty good up here just opened BUT their bagels are $4 for a plain bagel with cream cheese! :O Its still cheaper to ship the bagels up here and lets be real... This place is excellent!! Wish I lived close enough to go by a couple times a week! Great bagel selection and delicious coffee.

Really stellar bagels and a great variety if bagel sandwiches, making this a great breakfast or lunch choice. The number of food and beverage options here is overwhelming but I usually keep it simple with a bagel with herb cream cheese. But every bagel sandwich I have had here has been great. Only downside is that it can get busy at peak hours and the line can move slowly. read more

This chain does not have locations in SF just go to their website. The one in SF is different. People need to know that the managers of the old location have started their own venture called Bagel Kitchen because this Franchise is no good. Do yourselves a favor and go to bagel kitchen. Why settle for a fake 711 franchise of bagels when the people that ran the old location for YEARS have revamped the store and offer a much more fresh local option rather than something a franchise processes in. read more

It is good, and they are quick. Sometimes too quick and do not listen to what you really ask for. (i.e.yellow mustard instead of deli mustard). And twice we asked for a hot ham and cheese croissant (along with bagels) they have forgotten to bag it up after we paid for it so we have had to return. So frustrating when you want quick food but it ends up being not so quick when you have to go twice. read more

This Bagel Bakery location is my favorite bagel store on the Monterey Peninsula. First, there is plenty of parking, unlike the downtown Monterey Bagel Bakery. Second, there is a restroom, unlike the Sand City Bagel Bakery. And third, the service here is great, unlike both other Bagel Bakery locations! I can tell that this store is run by people who are very attuned to customer service. They engage and chat with all of their regulars and make people feel welcome. is there a zero star here?? used to be good but not after owner or manager of this place changed. I had their sunrise bagel and omg what the hell is wrong with their bagels and bacons that they are using? tasteless, thin, cooked too long, when I took a bite all the bacons crumbled like a dried, airy dog food. I just couldnt believe how I couldnt taste a bit of bacon at all.. It wouldve been fine if the bagel tasted the same. TASTELESS BAGEL EVER. I was so disappointed I didnt finish the bagel. Woah..what happened? I stop by here every time I'm in the area, and it seems like they changed owner. Price definitely went up from what I can tell and it took them a long time to help me when it wasn't busy at all. Their bathroom was funky smelling..idk when they get around to cleaning it. I am so sad to see that the same people who own the Monterey location are now at the PG location as well. Even though I live 3 blocks from the Monterey location I found myself going to the one in PG because the service and quality were SO AWFUL in Monterey. The new owners just cannot take a order properly to save their life. They panic when it gets busy and don't seem to understand that I rather wait for a properly made bagel then get out quickly. They are often out of things, they do NOT understand light mayo-mustard, and they just dont know how to make a sandwich. If you want your bagel toasted beware its going to be cold. Toasting a bagel is a invitation for them to put your bagel in the toaster and take the next customers order.....so your bagel gets to sit while they finish the next guys order. I wish someone would open a new bagel place so we can all start going there! read more
