It's a little hard to eat such a stacked hotdog but that's really not a complaint. Why complain when you get more of a tasty meal? I do wish I could order a pickle or something sour that I could use to contrast the hot dog in between bites. Overall, the food menu looks really interesting, the food is delicious and I'd love to continue to explore the menu the next time I visit. I've passed this place almost every time I come out to visit the area. It always seems closed and when I came this time it's open days are Thursday to Sunday and we finally got to try it. I wanted to know what the hubbah was about. Firstly, it's such a convenient walking distance from the accommodations we have stayed at before. Next there's plenty of seating inside and out. You order up front and they'll bring it to your seat. Mine did not take long at all to arrive. There are so many options of hot dogs to choose from and also non-hot dog items. I was told by someone to try the Dick Verde (roasted brussel sprouts), which were roasted to a perfect smoky crisp that had a twist of balsamic. Then I got the Lovers Point dog (which incidentally was perfect as we visited Lovers Point earlier that day). It is topped with the Guac, tomatoes, green onion, and Lucy's sauce. (I had to omit the jalapeño). I tried the fog latte -- a tad bit too sweet for me but uses real honey. They have several flavors of ice cream too! Overall, I appreciate how convenient this spot is. Lucy's is always my #1 recommendation when anyone asks where they should eat in PG. With a huge selection of hot dogs combinations, there is something for everyone. You can even sub a veggie dog for their hot dog combos. My personal favorite is the Bone Yards, a bacon wrapped dog with peppers, onions, and their delicious house sauce! But the fun doesn't end there- they have delicious tater tots and Brussels sprouts that are the perfect pairing for any dog. This was our second visit to Lucy's on Lighthouse and just as good as the first! Great food, great service, and a really fun atmosphere. One of our friends said, "Lucy's is so cool it makes Pacific Grove a cooler place" and honestly, what a great compliment! The vibe is surfer/skater fun and brings me back to the late 90s/early 2000s. There is a small parking lot, additional street parking, a cute enclosed outdoor seating area, long bench along the order line entrance, an order counter, and indoor seating. There are only a few larger tables indoors, but it is worth the wait if you need one. We tried a few different hot dogs, tater tots, a hard root beer float, and a milkshake. Last time I had a mocha. Nothing disappoints at Lucy's. The hotdogs are Nathan's and super juicy, the pulled pork is a little sweet and delicious topping hotdogs or tots, and the ice cream is Marianne's, which you just can't go wrong with. The owner and employees are incredibly nice, are always cleaning so the place is spotless, and they seem like really great people. I highly recommend Lucy's on Lighthouse for a mellow lunch or dinner, coffee stop, or even just dessert. We'll be back soon, and we're trying the banana split next time! read more

Still one of our fave places to visit when we come to town. We actually stayed next door at Sea Breeze and walked over each day. The Marianne's ice cream is top notch. The Illy coffee is good and the food is great. They had a celebration for their anniversary with some fun events when they were there. Live bands, hot dog eating contest, a vendor and good vibes! We usually LOVE this place but had a pretty rough customer service experience today. We were not being confrontational but felt like we were being treated as such. Also felt lied to about something. Long story short, there was miscommunication on what was ordered, we were offered a swap out of a hot dog that was already cooked, never asked for a swap just offered it only to later be told no we had to pay for it. The two women working were acting like we were being confrontational and they was never our intention. Just wanted to talk the "boss" who they said told them no but wasn't even working that day'. I don't believe the customer is always right but that dosnt mean there can't be a place for a conversation. This is a place that we were loyal to and have come to on the weekends for about two years now. Lucy's On Lighthouse is probably the coolest spot on the Peninsula with the surf and skate decor and attitude along with delicious and original spins on the simple hot dog. Owner, Jolene, is a hoot and so sweet! She has the best staff - just super friendly people all around. You order at the counter, grab a number and have a seat either inside or outside in their patio if weather permits. Usually the wait is not too long before one of the friendly servers delivers your food. Tots are always crispy, never greasy. The dogs are great - so many options, but I just love the Spanish Bay (bacon wrapped dog, gaucamole, nacho cheese, tomatoes, onions and grilled jalapeno) so I tend to get that one more often. This visit my husband went with the Cliff House, but subbed a Polish sausage. It was topped with sauerkraut, pickle relish and mustard. Both delicious, but I really liked the Polish sausage. These dogs are loaded. I always need a knife and fork to get through it else I would probably be wearing my toppings. Generous portions for sure! During the summer months, they have live music on the patio outside which definitely draws a crowd. So much fun! They do serve wine and of course beer as well as coffee drinks. They also have Marianne's ice cream and will serve a Mermaid Mimosa (a scoop of pomegranate sorbet served with bubbles in a goblet. Such a fun spot! We were looking for a lunch after a morning out at Lover's Point and came across Lucy's on Yelp. This place is amazing! If you love skating and surfing, watched Rocket Power and California Dreams growing up, and played THPS, this is the spot for you. The restaurant is decked out with skateboards, surfboards, posters, and pictures- you kind of have to see it for yourself! The food is pretty solid - corndogs, hot dogs, tots, ice cream and they serve adult beverages as well. Finally made it to Lucy's after seeing them featured on KQED's Check, Please program. We had the Reefs hot dog which is served with chili & crispy onions on top. We also had the Cobblestones hot dog which is wrapped in bacon, pulled pork, BBQ sauce & grilled onions. Both hot dogs were good. The toppings were good but just know that the meal fits neatly in the plastic serving basket so it's not the largest size. I gave part of my meal to my dining companion to make sure he would have enough. We also ordered a side of brussel sprouts which was very good, as they were fried just the right amount with a drizzle of balsamic vinegar glaze. They have many options here and also a bunch of sides, coffee drinks, Marianne's ice cream (a Santa Cruz-based business), milkshakes, floats, and other beverages including beer. They have their own parking lot although street parking is not a problem. Cute place decorated with skateboards, surfboards, and decent service. We will bring our kids next time. The entire vibe of this place is perfect. Live music, an airy outdoor seating area catching the ocean breezes while providing plenty of shade, and a cozy indoor seating area decorated liberally with skate and surf memorabilia: custom boards, custom decks, and vintage skate posters (keep an eye out for the OG Bobby Burnquist from X-Games piece!). The menus done in street art style really seals everything together. The food was AMAZING. First off was the Lover's Point, which was fresh flavorful. The Cobblestones was an out of this world combo of flavors and the pulled pork is peak. The Lucy's Sauce with the Ollie tots was the perfect dip. I'd characterize the sauce as a zingy honey mustard remoulade with a nice touch of spices. Finally we HAD to try out the Chiquita Ripcurl ice cream, made ONLY for Lucy's by the incomparable Marianne's Ice Cream in Santa Cruz. It was the perfect blend of peanut butter, chocolate, and banana. We also have to hand it to the owner, Joleen Green. The moment you meet her, you understand exactly why this place has such a good vibe. This woman eats, drinks, and sleeps the NorCal skate life, and it's clear her regular customers absolutely adore her. She greets them by name, she remembers their usual order, and she is incredibly personable. Joleen took the time to come over and chat with us about how we were enjoying the food and the location, as it was our first time, and it was such a great conversation. This is a lady who truly cares about the PG community and touches base on an aspect of Northern California life (skate and surf) that can sometimes be forgotten among the gingerbread Victorians of Pacific Grove.
