Finally got around to trying Bagel Exchange. The interior of the store was a bit stuffy when we dined in. We got the Stocks & Lox on Asiago Cheese Bagel; Strawberry Cream Cheese on Wheat Bagel; and a Cold Brew Coffee. They were running low on bagel options by the time we ordered, which was around noon. The Stocks & Lox was good, standard. I really loved the Strawberry Cream Cheese bagel, served warm. Their Cold Brew came in a cute cup-can and it was STRONG. I am caffeine-sensitive and it kept me up that night. I'd probably stick to ordering this before noon next time. A few tables inside, not necessarily the greatest for large groups. Service was fairly quick. You order first and they bring out your order, unless you're taking out then you can grab from the counter when it's ready. Really cute stock market concept all around - their menu looks like a stock ticker, their serving trays have "newspaper" paper linings, etc. My husband got their special of the day (flan) and it was a huge amount for $5, but probably wouldn't order it again as it was too dense for our liking. Will be back to try more bagels (especially eyeing their Pizza Bagel), and hopefully next time we'll be earlier so we can try more of their bagel options & their Butterfly Thai Tea. read more

We got too good to go and that was definitely worth it for sure but I don't think that it would be worth it without the app so for those that don't know what too good to go is, it's an app where restaurants charge a fraction of what their normal cost would be in a given day for food that they're either going to toss or donate, definitely worth checking out. I've been in a few times and this place is great. I always get the stocks and lox on an everything bagel, at $13 it's a bit pricey, but ALWAYS a great choice. The lox is always super fresh, the schmear is always fluffy, not too dense, and the perfect amount, while I think they could cut back a little on the sprouts, everything else is just perfect in terms of flavor and proportion. Suddenly a man walks in and cuts me in line...Worker or owner shows up from back of store takes his order right away. Doesnt ask me If I was there first. Completely skips over me like Im a nobody. I went up to check and the employee said they would check. Minutes passed and still nothing. Went back up to the counter and asked again. Jesse attended me, and he patiently answered all my questions and provided awesome recommendations! I ordered the Asiago bagel with egg,cheese, and sausage Patty. I added avocado for $2 and substituted the cheese for cream cheese. The turkey patty could have been better, not a huge fan of the taste it had. The wrapping was cool. I haven't even had a chance to try to bagels so I can't speak on the food, but the customer service here was horrendous. I walked in and had to wait for the employees to finish up their conversation before acknowledging my existence. Then finally one girl said hi to me and the rest rolled their eyes and kept talking. A *hit hole. Was their this morning...I had a gut feeling NOT to order from their and instead head to Spanglish kitchen. I ignored my intuition, ordered a lux bagel with coffee. Coffee is DARK ROAST, meaning the cheap stuff. When I ordered coffee, their was none made which I thought odd...Coffee machine itself is old, and although pot is glass it's heavily stained by coffee. I do not think they ever run vinegar to clean the coffee machine, which means it's probably contaminated. I paid $20 for a breakfast meal that I was throwing up 5 minutes after eating. Read all the 5-star reviews so I had to give it a try. I never had a bagel that delicious. I usually only eat half a bagel then eat the other half next meal. But I finished it all. The bagel sandwiches are good. I've tried the lox sandwich on an everything bagel on numerous occasions, I'm usually stuffed after. This is a shop where you can get stuff done if you wanted, but it's more energetic (best way I can describe) vs. a peaceful laid back environment. There's a multi tv screen that shows news, stocks, etc. Music is a little loud. So definitely high energy. However, it can get busy and there isn't much seating, so I wouldn't say it's a place you can sit for a long while to get work done, unless it's a quick assignment/task you do while enjoying coffee or your bagel. (Just to be considerate of those who do want to sit in and eat) I've tried their chai from what I recall they do use tea bag, but this chai was different than what I'm usually used to from different spots. Maybe it was more authentic chai? Not sure, but not the usual taste. I think the flavor was too strong for me and it wasn't my favorite. THE AESTHETIC / AMBIANCE. The inside of the store seemed unfinished, we walk in to a dark ambiance with black ceilings and four tvs stack in a square on the wall with stocks on. Music was some crazy dubstep and electronic music, felt like a disappointing rave and screams millennial. I wouldn't dine in again and it's definitely a miss for a cozy work vibe. I really think they need to redesign the aesthetic and change the playlist. I could see the potential for people to sit and study here. THE FOOD. We ordered two bagel sandwiches with bacon, egg, and cheese. The price is quite good imo. We were satisfied with the sandwiches and would come back for a bagel craving, but it would be to go. Head to the register to order and find a seat, the employee will bring your order out to you. There's a small stand by the door for dirty trays. Stock & lox bagel: I got this on an everything bagel as recommended by the employee. Felt that it was extremely overpriced at $13. It came with cream cheese, smoked salmon, capers, red onion, and alfalfa sprouts. I asked for no onion. The sprouts really ruined the overall flavor. It tasted so earthy and it was hard to get a good bite without getting an entire mouthful of earth stringy sprouts in your mouth. Bagel was good, crisp, and chewy. Iced matcha latte: They charge an additional $0.25 for less ice and yet still gave a lot of ice. For a $6.25 matcha, it was also very gritty and overall disappointing. A small bagel store with a pretty cool concept located on Main Street. There is street parking or the parking structure on First or Third Street. It has a nice interior with some indoor seating. Service was good. I got some poppy seed bagels and an Ube Latte. I love the stock exchange decor - digital menu that looks like ticker symbols (or arcade games lol) and multiple TV screens showing news and stock info. Ordered ahead for pick up. We got the Exchange bagel on jalapeño cheddar with egg, cheddar cheese, cream cheese, bacon, ham, and sausage, and the spinach Asiago bagel with mozarella, ham, and sprouts. Both were good but the Exchange bagel was better. Super loaded up, and stuck together with cheesy goodness. Very fresh, hot and delicious. And I love the drinks and how they have the aluminum can tops. Got Viet coffee and Ube latte. Both very good. I'll have to come back and get a dozen bagels to take home. Highly recommend this place. I love a good bagel shop! I got the Stocks N lox bagel sandwich, which if you were once like me and didn't know what that was, is a smoked salmon, cream cheese sandwich with tomatoes, onion, sprouts and capers. It's one of my favorites. When you order a bagel sandwich, you can select from the various bagels they have on display. They open at 7:15am till 2:30pm but is it weird that I kind of wish they opened a little earlier so I can order and bring in bagels for everyone at work? Everyone's tired of donuts haha. Anyways, the service is great. The drinks come in these canned containers so you don't have to open it immediately if you're on the go. I played it safe with a bacon, egg and (provolone) cheese with a bit of chive cream cheese on an onion bagel. WHEW, it was so good. The bacon wasn't super thin and it was perfectly cooked - a bit crunchy, just how I like it. The cream cheese was amazing and provolone worked SO well with the bagel too. Call me crazy but I think with some cucumber (my sister had it on her bagel) this would be absolute perfection. I really love that you can build your own bagel and they have so many flavor options for the bagels too!
