    Pastrami Sandwich
    Anya J.

Found this spot around the corner from our house/daycare and have already been back 3 times in 2 weeks. We'd been looking for a good bagel place and this one finally hit. The egg, bacon & cheese bagel was great- soft, tasty bagel, well-cooked eggs, crispy bacon that wasn't overly fatty. Added jalapeño cream cheese and skipped the ketchup/mayo- perfect amount of kick without being too spicy. The cheese jalapeño bagel was also really good. My partner tried the pastrami sandwich for breakfast and liked it, though it was a little greasy and the meat was more crispy/fried than soft. Still said he'd definitely order it again for lunch.

This place has been open since June of this year. I just happen to see it as I was going to the bank. I was hungry, so I ordered a cinnamon-raisin bagel with egg and bacon. It was very hot and fresh. Nice big portion of a sandwich. I also, tried the tea chai that was delicious. Service was very good and it's a cool inside. Has a nice view of everything. Note: They were not fully stocked with all their bagels.

Firstly, I will travel pretty much anywhere to get something I like, irrespective of cost (within reason). Live in SG and Goldsteins shut down out of nowhere a year or so ago. I refuse to go to Noah's or Einsteins. Enter bageloo. The store is pretty small. They have a display case showing off their selection. I came here because they're one of, if not the only bagel places left that have a salt bagel. Got one, untoasted with scallion cc. Good amount of cc, chewy and fresh. Maybe could use a bit more salt, but otherwise 99% perfect. Will happily drive 15 minutes for a bagel from these folks.

Little spot conveniently located in a plaza directly across Huntington Hospital. Friendly and welcoming service. Wasn't crowded as I was there first thing in the morning. I like that the bagels are displayed in a closed case. I ordered a BLT on an everything bagel and it was quite delicious and their homemade potato salad was solid. I also bought an almond croissant and it tasted fresh too. Definitely worth giving them a try!

The food was great, and they were very nice and accommodating. The interior is a bit smaller, but there is seating and ample parking in the lot outside.

    $6.70 for this

I really can't justify coming here anymore... it was $6.70 for an everything bagel and scallion cream cheese and it barely had any cream cheese. I always ask for it double toasted but it's somehow never toasty? I asked for it open faced, it wasn't open faced.. it's just expensive and never consistent.

Seriously, this bagel shop is in its own lane. These bagels are balanced, chewy and dense, with a slight crispy crust. The best L.A bagel I've ever had. It won't be a New York bagel, but truly something special in the west coast. Get there early, because those bagels sell out quick. Plus - sandwiches come with a side of potato salad. Also the staff and service is great. Shout out to Matthew.

The bagels on their own are very solid. Chewy texture, crispy crust and dense inside. Everything bagel tastes great and the squid ink bagel was new and interesting. The bagel sandwiches are pretty simple but kind of pricy for what they are. The lox bagel was honestly kind of bland, mainly because the tomatoes, onion, and plain cream cheese were really lacking in flavor. Don't think this is one I'd repurchase on a future visit. The egg, ham and cheese one had more flavor, but it was really greasy.

The California bagel was delish! Fresh ingredients and plenty of each too where I felt like we got it all in each bite. Got a side of the scallion cream cheese because I'm extra and it was a great paring too. We tried out the squid ink everything bagel which u believe may have been a seasonal item but taste wise no difference to me. Small shop with a couple of 2-person tables so it's mainly a takeout spot. Came on a Saturday afternoon and we were able to dine in.

Love bagels and wanted to try a new place. I found that they couldn't take cash because they didn't have change, didn't have coffee because espresso machine was down and then my order was wrong (I ordered a bagel with cream cheese and a Philly sandwich). I only got one bagel out of the two for around $23... overall experience plus the high price on a small sandwich was disappointing.

    Cheese Jalapeño bagel
    Cleo M.

Food: We had the cheese jalapeño bagel with cream cheese. It was perfectly creamy, soft, and had a nice crunch. I like my bagels with more jalapeños for extra spice, but my boyfriend loved it just as it was. You can really tell it was handmade and crafted well. Service: We were greeted right away by a sweet, kind, and polite employee. Ambiance: It was pretty quiet when we walked in. Easy parking and not too busy for a Saturday morning. Plenty of seating, though it's more of a grab-and-go spot. Would definitely return if I'm in the area. Great food and friendly service! Thanks!

It's California so plenty of bagels OPTIONS, which is good for the consumer, not so sure if it is for the business model but that's not for me to decide. What makes this a 3 star review is the cream cheese option, or the shmear. $2 for shmear is outrageous. The app doesn't give you the option to have it on the side - I don't know how clean your knife is. If you're going to charge me $2, at least give me the option to have it on the side. I'd much prefer that option than the OPTION of 34 different types of bagels that probably are thrown out at the end of the night. Then when you want cream cheese on the side - there isn't a small packet offered for a nominal fee, but rather a minuscule $2 option or a $5 tub of cream cheese. No thanks. Silly. I'll just go to Trader Joe's and stock up on whipped cream cheese for $2.99 Bagel is good! Love the plain, everything, and cinnamon raisin!

    1. Another perfect Los Angeles day. Woke up and the weather outside was yanking me out of bed…read more Before I could even put my clothes on, I could feel Jess & Kora on the other side. Waiting for me. Waiting for us to get lunch at Belle's. Life was good. But what's even better than good? Great. Life was about to be great. 2. On the way in I saw a strange man outside wearing sunglasses. He looked at me. Friend or foe? I ran through a list of my options. Run. Stand my ground. Kiss. But then I realized I recognized him. This wasn't a stranger. This was a friend. 3. "Hey," I said. "Hey," he said back at me. Casey. We knew each other. I mentioned I was about to dine at Belle's and he immediately complimented the establishment. "Do you know who Harry Mack is?" I told him I didn't. "He's a freestyle rapper on tiktok. I saw him eating here once. I told him I like his videos when we were both in the bathroom." In the bathroom? Or in the line for the bathroom? I didn't follow up with any questions and left the conversation bewildered. 4. I sat down inside, waiting for Jess & Kora. We had eaten here together many times and this excited me. Nothing quite like eating lunch with your friends. The only thing better would be if you were getting massages from beautiful men and women. The thought brought a smile to my face. The kind of smile that hurts your cheeks so much that you wish pain was only temporary. 5. Jess showed up. Shortly after Kora did as well. The boys were back at it again. I looked around. I could tell everybody was aware of who we were and what we were doing. I even caught a stray look from a table of three men that was tinged with a tear. Jealous of the friendship we so effortlessly commanded. It was as if we were massaging each other's minds with our words. This is the kind of experience one can expect while in the presence of Zed C. from Yelp. The kind of experience you read online and think is fake but is actually realer than reality. The kind of experience that can only be contained with two slices of bagel. 6. From the jump, we were talking Area 51. The laughs were as plentiful as the refills on our cups of coffee (frequent!) But the happiness could only take us so far. It was only a matter of time until we began looking at the walls and the photos that covered them. Photos of people, of bagels, of everything that wasn't... us. There wasn't a photo on the wall of us. Zed C. from Yelp and Jess & Kora. I don't believe in divine justice, but we do what we can to form some level of fairness in a galaxy bent on chaos. Entropy consumes us all but... if Belle's could put a photograph of the three of us on their wall... maybe hope isn't just a false promise of what's to come. Maybe life could exceed great and become... excellent. The same tear I saw in the stranger's eye populated Jess' eye. Kora's eye. & mine as well. We shut our eyes and pretended that this moment never happened. The boys were back at it once again! 7. Our food arrived. I had ordered the ECA, the egg, cheese and avocado mash bagel. Everything. At home I only get plain because the seeds go everywhere making my kitchen into a literal hellscape. Here at Belle's? I indulge myself. So what if a seed doesn't land on the plate. They'll clean it up. They always do. It's why we keep coming back. That and the quality of the food. The ECA is encased in a god-tier bagel with the type of eggs that are so fluffy you could've sworn you bit into a cloud. Every bite is a reminder of the strength of modern civilization and the many sacrifices we make to be a part of something bigger (and tastier) than our own selves. 8. Eventually the conversation spilled over the edge and one of us waved a server down. One that we were friendly with. "How can we get our photo on the wall?" She wasn't receptive. But she offered a possibility... "We could put a mirror on the wall and you'd see yourself on the wall." Jess laughed loudly and as she left he told us, "She thinks we're stupid." & you know what? If she did we'd be okay with it. Because that's the type of guys we are. We roll with the punches and get down with the lunches. 9. I'd like to quickly respond to the review written by "S A." in which they said "This place is NOT FAMILY FRIENDLY" because they were forced to wait in line like everybody else. Because of their "hungry kids" they wanted everybody else to get behind them. Sounds like your "family" isn't RESTAURANT FRIENDLY. Maybe it's about time you got in line and learned to respect the rules of the culinary tradition known as "waiting until it's your turn". 10. I left Belle's feeling better than I did when I walked in. I was refreshed, I was quenched. I patted my belly and let out a sigh. Life was great. It was all downhill from here. Then I turned around and looked at Belle's. A reminder of what was to come. The boys would be back at it once again. I smiled a final time. This time it was permanent. I've never stopped smiling since.
