I wanted a bagel sandwich, but not from a chain. A quick search and I found Bageloo. I was pleasantly surprised that they have vegan cream cheese, but was not impressed by the $2.50 up charge . Being lactose intolerant is not a luxury, but I can understand that a small business charges it like a "flavored" cream cheese. The cashier may have been new because she seemed overwhelmed when the small place suddenly got busy. The bagel was tasty, but quite pricy. I'd probably stop by again for bagels and make sandwiches at home.

This place has been open since June of this year. I just happen to see it as I was going to the bank. I was hungry, so I ordered a cinnamon-raisin bagel with egg and bacon. It was very hot and fresh. Nice big portion of a sandwich. I also, tried the tea chai that was delicious. Service was very good and it's a cool inside. Has a nice view of everything. Note: They were not fully stocked with all their bagels.

Found this spot around the corner from our house/daycare and have already been back 3 times in 2 weeks. We'd been looking for a good bagel place and this one finally hit. The egg, bacon & cheese bagel was great- soft, tasty bagel, well-cooked eggs, crispy bacon that wasn't overly fatty. Added jalapeño cream cheese and skipped the ketchup/mayo- perfect amount of kick without being too spicy. The cheese jalapeño bagel was also really good. My partner tried the pastrami sandwich for breakfast and liked it, though it was a little greasy and the meat was more crispy/fried than soft. Still said he'd definitely order it again for lunch.

Little spot conveniently located in a plaza directly across Huntington Hospital. Friendly and welcoming service. Wasn't crowded as I was there first thing in the morning. I like that the bagels are displayed in a closed case. I ordered a BLT on an everything bagel and it was quite delicious and their homemade potato salad was solid. I also bought an almond croissant and it tasted fresh too. Definitely worth giving them a try!

The food was great, and they were very nice and accommodating. The interior is a bit smaller, but there is seating and ample parking in the lot outside.

Firstly, I will travel pretty much anywhere to get something I like, irrespective of cost (within reason). Live in SG and Goldsteins shut down out of nowhere a year or so ago. I refuse to go to Noah's or Einsteins. Enter bageloo. The store is pretty small. They have a display case showing off their selection. I came here because they're one of, if not the only bagel places left that have a salt bagel. Got one, untoasted with scallion cc. Good amount of cc, chewy and fresh. Maybe could use a bit more salt, but otherwise 99% perfect. Will happily drive 15 minutes for a bagel from these folks.

    $6.70 for this

I really can't justify coming here anymore... it was $6.70 for an everything bagel and scallion cream cheese and it barely had any cream cheese. I always ask for it double toasted but it's somehow never toasty? I asked for it open faced, it wasn't open faced.. it's just expensive and never consistent.

Seriously, this bagel shop is in its own lane. These bagels are balanced, chewy and dense, with a slight crispy crust. The best L.A bagel I've ever had. It won't be a New York bagel, but truly something special in the west coast. Get there early, because those bagels sell out quick. Plus - sandwiches come with a side of potato salad. Also the staff and service is great. Shout out to Matthew.

The bagels on their own are very solid. Chewy texture, crispy crust and dense inside. Everything bagel tastes great and the squid ink bagel was new and interesting. The bagel sandwiches are pretty simple but kind of pricy for what they are. The lox bagel was honestly kind of bland, mainly because the tomatoes, onion, and plain cream cheese were really lacking in flavor. Don't think this is one I'd repurchase on a future visit. The egg, ham and cheese one had more flavor, but it was really greasy.

The California bagel was delish! Fresh ingredients and plenty of each too where I felt like we got it all in each bite. Got a side of the scallion cream cheese because I'm extra and it was a great paring too. We tried out the squid ink everything bagel which u believe may have been a seasonal item but taste wise no difference to me. Small shop with a couple of 2-person tables so it's mainly a takeout spot. Came on a Saturday afternoon and we were able to dine in.

Anyway, I'm typically a plain bagel girlie, however, I decided to try the jalapeño cheddar, and after some convincing from the cashier, add the sausage and egg. I didn't like anything about it. I don't feel the need to break that down. But, I was reminded why it's been so long. Don't get me wrong, it wasn't disgusting, just not for MY pallet. The location itself is really nice, well kept. And the customer service was great. I do like the variety of options and appreciated the short wait, given the amount of customers that just kept coming. I'm not going to say I won't return because the location, and the outdoor seating makes it a good choice on some days. If I do return, I will adjust my bagel choice, and perhaps update this review.

The quality of food is second to none. Not only are the workers and owners just simply fantastic, their food is too. Our favorites are the MCB (nova lox, tomato, onion, capers & plain cream cheese on an everything bagel) and the Loxsmith (nova lox, crispy salmon skin, radish, pickled fennel, dill & beet cream cheese on an everything bagel). The MCB shines above all the other sandwiches for me and it's our favorite breakfast in the morning. Every bagel has the right amount of chewiness that we all love. My family and I would walk and frequent this place every morning to start the day with their fantastic bagels when we lived in the area. Herby mayo, hot sweet peppers had a hint of spice, pastrami was soft and not too salty, egg was fluffy. It was a good bagel sandwich. However, I don't think I'd reorder this. LATKE Crispy and savory. The sourcream and apple sauce together was delicious. Absolutely loved the apple sauce, which had a beautiful texture and sweetness that was addictive. The star was the applesauce! SALT BAGEL, EVERYTHING BAGEL, CACIO E PEPE, EVERYTHING PUMPERNICKEL BAGEL All of the untoasted bagels except the Cacio e Pepe, had a firm outer texture, a bit hard to tear apart with hands. Inside the bagels were dense, yet had a light chewy texture and not dry either. Toasted, they were even better. The outer crust was beautifully crispy and the inside bagel was soft and chewy. The beet cream cheese was delicious with all the bagels! Cacio e Pepe was soft all around, unlike the other bagels. Cacio e Pepe had a light cheese and black pepper crust. It wasn't full of cacio e pepe flavor right off the bat, but still enough to know what you're eating. If you ate only the top bagel, I think you'll get the best of this bagel. Still good all around, even toasted. I think it will be great as a bagel sandwich. Everything Pumpernickle had a good pumpernickle flavor in addition to the everything seasonings. They did not skimp on the seasonings! Every inch of that bagel was covered in seasonings! Favorite Bagels: Salt Bagel, Everything Bagel BEET CREAM CHEESE Delicious! Smooth, creamy, almost buttery! This is whipped cream cheese with roasted beet puree. Light in beet flavor, it had dill in it too. I was hesitant in getting a tub because it was on the pricier side. But it was so good, glad I got it! SEATS / AMBIANCE It had a lovely East Coast diner feel when walking in. But still, the space felt a bit cluttered. There were booths, counter seats and outdoor seats too. It was packed inside on a Wednesday lunch. Got there before noon. CUSTOMER SERVICE Overall good, friendly service. Staff was smiling and that's always a good thing! Went on a Wednesday before noon, but it was nearly packed. PARKING Horrible. Just horrible. Street parking only. There's a few spots directly in front of Belle's, but it's metered parking too and also it was full. It's parking that always makes or breaks your experience when driving to LA. After driving around to find a decent parking spot, I finally found one close to Belle's, but after parking, I realized it was a loading zone. So hurried to get my food to go and just ate in the car. Overall, I enjoyed the bagels here and would love to return for their bagels and lunch offerings.

Staff was too busy talking to each other in separate conversations. I understand mornings can be busy, but that's no excuse for treating paying customers with disrespect. To make matters worse, my order was wrong, and when I politely pointed it out, I was met with attitude instead of an apology. The staff member barely acknowledged the mistake and acted like fixing it was a huge burden. The CASHIER took the bagel out in her bare hand to show me it was in the bag. Talk about unsanitary! I saw that they now offer Buffalo wings, there were multiple 8 by 11 print-out photos posted inside letting customers know. I have a soft-spot for wings, but discipline myself to eat them only on special occasions or when an intense craving arises. But I gave in to give this new menu item a try. However, while ordering them I was met with an unpleasant surprise. I found it deeply heretical that they only offered ranch and not the standard blue cheese. I know there's a lot of ranch enthusiasts out there, I went to a college with a high-amount of Midwestern representation, and I too would often find myself participating in their "dipping fries in ranch" ritual. However, when it comes to Buffalo wings, my philosophy has always been blue cheese and crispy or GTFO. Nonetheless, I found myself unexpectedly eating (despite no blue cheese) and enjoying these Buffalo wings at Bagel & Slice on a late-Monday afternoon. Props to offering 8-pieces over 6. That felt generous and comfortably iconoclastic. But please get your act together and offer blue cheese in addition to ranch (if you must). Even the guy who ordered wings after me, while I was eating them asked for blue cheese. Locals and nearby Oxy students will certainly appreciate having high-quality Buffalo wings close by. But I cannot and will not endorse these wings until they are served with the option of blue cheese dressing.
