Grabbed some bagels! Staff was friendly and offered suggestions. We already knew what we wanted but it was good to try something new. I got the lox bagel while everyone else got custom bagels with cream cheese. The lox was fresh and tasty with the great dill tang. I could have dialed down the cream cheese a little. Parking can be a pain in Silverlake but you can get lucky with street parking! Some seats available outside.

Ordered this for delivery on DoorDash but hope to visit in person soon. Loved the blueberry cream cheese on a plain bagel and the little chunks of blueberry skin in the spread. I'm usually a savory bagel person, but think I actually liked the blueberry more than the lox bagel here. Lox bagel was also delicious. Love that they go heavy on the spread here. High quality ingredients and the bagels had a nice soft chew but crunchy outside. Probably my favorite bagel in LA right now!

No. 8 on salt bagel with scallion cream cheese

I've tried many bagel spots in LA and I always come back to this one! No frills, just a simple honest bagel. I usually get the salt bagel with scallion cream cheese, the No. 8 if I'm feeling fancy (like today!). I like that they don't skimp on the cream cheese too, great bagel proportions. I also tried one of their juices today and it was pretty good! Nice and refreshing.

These bagels were the perfect texture- crispy yet soft and chewy. I enjoyed #8 which is the cream cheese, tomato, red onion, cucumbers, and capers. Their cream cheese tastes very tart and yogurt like. I also tried the pastrami lox and thought it was alright. The salmon tasted a bit too fishy for me. The workers are nice and the bagels come out fast. There's only outside seating, about 8 tables.

Researched the best bagels in LA and these were at the top of the list! I ordered ahead (recommend) and it was ready immediately. There is street parking but it was full when I got there, so my husband dropped me off and just drove in circles haha. I got the smoked salmon bagel open faced (added $6) and it was delicious! My husband got it in the sandwich style and loved it too. Devoured. This place is located right off the highway which makes it a quick stop!

Great corner bagel shop- it's small inside and has some outside tables/benches to eat on. I ordered the #8 which is cream cheese, tomato, dill, cucumber, red onion, & capers on an everything bagel. The everything bagel had lots of seeds on it & they put a good amount of cream cheese on. You order at the counter inside and pick up your order at the window outside. Great, quick breakfast stop in the morning. They are also dog friendly. Parking- street parking

I can't express this enough... BEST bagel spot! After being disappointed from last week's bagel run, I was still craving a good LOX bagel. Maury was the next one on my list and I was left full and satisfied. Ambiance: The spot is not on a busy main street. Yes, sitting is limited but I don't mind waiting if food is good! It's so cute inside and you can just smell the bagels. Clean and subtle! Service: Very welcoming. Employees have great attitude. They were not in a rush and gave a warm feeling. Food: We got Triple Pickle with Lox! There was a good amount of lox, cream cheese, cucumber and pickles! The variety in bagels is great plus the freshness! We also got fresh OJ, and Vanilla Cold Brew with oat. Great pair with our bagels. Overall, this place is *chefs kiss*, we will definitely be returning.

Whitefish Bagel and a lox bagel
    Micky N.

Great vibes and friendly staff, but the bagel left some things to be desired for me! I thought the whitefish salad was just okay, I prefer the ones at Belles in HLP. The lox was standard, but I felt like there wasn't enough balance with the ingredients inside the bagel. I wish there was more cucumber, onion, and capers and a little less cream cheese. The bagels itself were solid! A little inconsistent though. The onion bagel was a little stale meanwhile the everything was nice and chewy with the slightest crisp. I might give it another shot because it's so close to me and the prices are not too bad.

First time here and it was so good! Came a bit late around noon but there was still a good amount of bagels left to choose from! Staff are so kind and service is so fast. Parking is street parking but not hard to find a spot.

Friendly Service which was quick and straightforward. No frills just yummy Bagels w schmears and a nice variety of toppings. If you need options no worries. The only thing I know needs a bit of help is the coffee. Otherwise I'm a fan and everyone I come I can pickup something new which I'm sure won't disappoint. Next time it's a couple of Bagels w schmears and some Fresh squeezed juices.

Best bagels in LA! I got a half & half on everything bagel the whitefish and pastrami lox--so good!!! The egg salad side was tiny for the price, and the OJ was fresh and tasty, but also on the small side. I added a little lemon juice to my bagels --made it even better. The sour cream coffee cake is big, moist, and not too sweet--definitely my favorite. So yummy. This place is a total 10/10!

    Poppy and chive cream cheese
    Hannah S.

Lovely spot in silverlake for great bagels. They don't do bacon egg and cheese-type sandwiches -- just a heads up. Also, no bathrooms. I love how their bagels are sourdough! Chive cream cheese is great and so is the blueberry. (Savory or sweet, depending on your mood!) Egg salad is yummy and seasoned well if you want some protein. There's an option to add avocado to any sandwich for $4. They have an iced vanilla latte and hot coffee as their coffee options. The latte is pretty solid!! Limited outdoor seating and no indoor seating.

Whitefish salad bagel: very bland, understand white fish itself isn't that flavorful but even the secondary ingredients and the sauce mix didn't have flavor. Basically a mushy canned bland tuna salad taste. Wasabi roe: nice light spice kick with good flavor! Definitely worth a try Blueberry: personally didn't like the texture of the schmear bc it was a little too thick for me but my gf really enjoyed it Maybe their lox is much better, and worth the visit Overall the bagels were very small compared to most places and overpriced considering the taste and size. Street parking only. Has tables outside.

    Ask the Community - Maury's

Do the bagels come already toasted? Or do you have to ask?

    Assumed toasted

Why do the bagels start at $10?

A bagel with cream cheese is $3.50. Ten bucks is for the bagel and smoked salmon or the smoked whitefish salad (which I highly recommend!)

    1. Another perfect Los Angeles day. Woke up and the weather outside was yanking me out of bed…read more Before I could even put my clothes on, I could feel Jess & Kora on the other side. Waiting for me. Waiting for us to get lunch at Belle's. Life was good. But what's even better than good? Great. Life was about to be great. 2. On the way in I saw a strange man outside wearing sunglasses. He looked at me. Friend or foe? I ran through a list of my options. Run. Stand my ground. Kiss. But then I realized I recognized him. This wasn't a stranger. This was a friend. 3. "Hey," I said. "Hey," he said back at me. Casey. We knew each other. I mentioned I was about to dine at Belle's and he immediately complimented the establishment. "Do you know who Harry Mack is?" I told him I didn't. "He's a freestyle rapper on tiktok. I saw him eating here once. I told him I like his videos when we were both in the bathroom." In the bathroom? Or in the line for the bathroom? I didn't follow up with any questions and left the conversation bewildered. 4. I sat down inside, waiting for Jess & Kora. We had eaten here together many times and this excited me. Nothing quite like eating lunch with your friends. The only thing better would be if you were getting massages from beautiful men and women. The thought brought a smile to my face. The kind of smile that hurts your cheeks so much that you wish pain was only temporary. 5. Jess showed up. Shortly after Kora did as well. The boys were back at it again. I looked around. I could tell everybody was aware of who we were and what we were doing. I even caught a stray look from a table of three men that was tinged with a tear. Jealous of the friendship we so effortlessly commanded. It was as if we were massaging each other's minds with our words. This is the kind of experience one can expect while in the presence of Zed C. from Yelp. The kind of experience you read online and think is fake but is actually realer than reality. The kind of experience that can only be contained with two slices of bagel. 6. From the jump, we were talking Area 51. The laughs were as plentiful as the refills on our cups of coffee (frequent!) But the happiness could only take us so far. It was only a matter of time until we began looking at the walls and the photos that covered them. Photos of people, of bagels, of everything that wasn't... us. There wasn't a photo on the wall of us. Zed C. from Yelp and Jess & Kora. I don't believe in divine justice, but we do what we can to form some level of fairness in a galaxy bent on chaos. Entropy consumes us all but... if Belle's could put a photograph of the three of us on their wall... maybe hope isn't just a false promise of what's to come. Maybe life could exceed great and become... excellent. The same tear I saw in the stranger's eye populated Jess' eye. Kora's eye. & mine as well. We shut our eyes and pretended that this moment never happened. The boys were back at it once again! 7. Our food arrived. I had ordered the ECA, the egg, cheese and avocado mash bagel. Everything. At home I only get plain because the seeds go everywhere making my kitchen into a literal hellscape. Here at Belle's? I indulge myself. So what if a seed doesn't land on the plate. They'll clean it up. They always do. It's why we keep coming back. That and the quality of the food. The ECA is encased in a god-tier bagel with the type of eggs that are so fluffy you could've sworn you bit into a cloud. Every bite is a reminder of the strength of modern civilization and the many sacrifices we make to be a part of something bigger (and tastier) than our own selves. 8. Eventually the conversation spilled over the edge and one of us waved a server down. One that we were friendly with. "How can we get our photo on the wall?" She wasn't receptive. But she offered a possibility... "We could put a mirror on the wall and you'd see yourself on the wall." Jess laughed loudly and as she left he told us, "She thinks we're stupid." & you know what? If she did we'd be okay with it. Because that's the type of guys we are. We roll with the punches and get down with the lunches. 9. I'd like to quickly respond to the review written by "S A." in which they said "This place is NOT FAMILY FRIENDLY" because they were forced to wait in line like everybody else. Because of their "hungry kids" they wanted everybody else to get behind them. Sounds like your "family" isn't RESTAURANT FRIENDLY. Maybe it's about time you got in line and learned to respect the rules of the culinary tradition known as "waiting until it's your turn". 10. I left Belle's feeling better than I did when I walked in. I was refreshed, I was quenched. I patted my belly and let out a sigh. Life was great. It was all downhill from here. Then I turned around and looked at Belle's. A reminder of what was to come. The boys would be back at it once again. I smiled a final time. This time it was permanent. I've never stopped smiling since.

In comparison to other bagel shops in LA, this spot falls right in the middle. Unfortunately, what…read morereally holds it back is the price point and the overwhelming hype--both from long lines and TikTok buzz--that doesn't quite match the experience. The scale tips more toward the downside when it comes to the bagels themselves. The toppings aren't particularly unique, or consistent, and the bagel had a noticeably firm texture that didn't stand out in a good way. What initially drew me in--and ultimately prompted this review, my first review--was the coffee. After trying 50+ coffee shops over the past 2 years alone, I can honestly say this was one of the more disappointing lattes I've had. I ordered a whole milk latte, and the best way to describe it is simply: watery. It wasn't milk-forward, not sweet, and surprisingly not even very coffee-forward. Instead, it had a slightly herbal, almost oily, burnt-bean flavor that felt diluted with water. I also ordered the carrot cake latte, which had the same base issue. The carrot cake foam helped mask it a bit, but it tasted more like a strong sugar cookie flavor than anything close to carrot cake. In the end, giving grace, perhaps it was just a "bad barista day". Overall, it's not terrible--but definitely not worth the hype or the price. *If visiting on the weekend arrive before 9:30 to beat the line if you dare.*

Parking is ass but WORTH IT…read more Cute shop, good amount of seating. I went in on a Tuesday at 11am, only 1 person in front of me. The line definitely comes in waves though. Every employee was very kind and patient with everyone including me. Got my bagel and coffee in 10 minutes, both were fantastic. One of the best bagel and coffee spots in LA. Will absolutely come back!
