This is literally what I got. Don't have time to take it back. Why so little cream cheese?

Today is my last day purchasing any food from this location. Whenever I order a bagel with cream cheese, there is barely any cream cheese on it. I tell them put enough cream cheese and still there is a smear of cream cheese on it. For $6 bucks, I don't understand why I have to ask for more cream cheese and they don't put enough. One guy makes my bagels ok but if I get anyone else, they skimp on the cream cheese.

Super legit bagel spot in Murray Hill near Baruch College. Consistent offering of bagels, spreads, toppings and a full grill for sandwiches. Sausage egg and cheese was excellent and also lox was great. No regrets.

Really good bagels! I got a bagel with sausage and egg and it was only $7. It was so crispy and so tasty, the sausage was made perfectly. My friend got an egg and cheese on a roll and it was also pretty cheap. The service is really fast and they accept Apple Pay, so super convenient

Bagel Express III basically just gets the job done. Their bagels are average and their attitude on the phones are that of stressed employees I guess? However when I go in person the lady who rings me up is always pretty nice. Pros: Great coffee! Decent array of cream cheese flavors being that they don't offer as much variety for delivery as they do when you go in person. Awesome value for their fruit cups-- you get a bunch of mixed (all very unripe fruits but luckily I don't mind) fruit for just $3.95 which is a steal! Cons: not much just that everything is average. Blah not impressive but I still continue to go because they have great coffee and the location is extremely convenient. I'd recommend you come here to pick up a bagel and cream cheese, fruit or coffee. Your not going to be impressed but again, it gets the job done.

In NYC this type of bagel shop is a dime a dozen. They are everywhere. Since I know these types of places I don't even need to look at the menu. I went with the plain bagel with chicken salad since the chicken salad looked good. The chicken salad was in big chunks and it wasn't overdressed with mayo. The problem was they didn't get my order right and put lettuce instead of tomato on my bagel. I also tried the carrot cake too and it was good but had raisins in it which aren't my favorite. The best part was they did have salt and vinegar blue diamond nuts which are tough to find. In the end the bagel was average and didn't taste fresh. A bagel shop with average bagels is not the best look. The chicken salad was spot on but carrot cake wasn't. If I was starving and in the area I might come back otherwise I would go somewhere else.

This place is all business on a Sunday morning. It's quick and efficient, but don't expect a "good morning." More like, "what do you want?" Ah, New York. Anyhow, the bagels are good, service is quick. It was around the corner from our hotel, so really convenient. Lots of neighborhood people in their sweats and pj's, which is a good sign.

I have a hate/love relationship with this place. I like it because they give you the classic Bodega sandwiches at great prices, but the customer service here is just sooo on and off. One day I come here and everything goes smoothly and another day, the workers are in a frenzy telling me to line up here or there. Till this day, I am still very confused on how to order here. I only come here for the bagels and spreads and usually I line up, but sometimes the cooks tell me to go straight to the register since I want bagels. Another time when I went straight to the register, the cashier told me to line up where the cooks were. ??? No idea what's going on with the lack of communication here. Besides that, the bagels and spreads here are actually really good. The bagels are fresh, don't have giant holes in the center, and they are a hearty size. They also have tons of cream cheese spreads. I've tried a good amount of them but usually default to the avocado cilantro cream cheese unless it is brown which means the avocados they used were too ripe or its been sitting out for too long. My second pick would be the basil. Some of their other spreads include: walnut & raisin, strawberry, oreo, blueberry, banana nut, jalapeño asado, salmon, lox, and Chipotle. Only a $3 card minimum!

Wandering around 3rd Avenue on a very cold early midweek morning & looking for a place to have a danish, croissant, bagel or whatever, we were so glad to stumble upon Bagel Express III & it looked like we were not the only ones who were happy it is here. Bagels were fresh, large, not crazy expensive for NYC prices ($1.30 each), lots & LOTS of spreads to "schmear" onto those bagels, freshly squeezed juices, gigunda muffins, & all else that goes with breakfast-all-day food items. We found the service to be friendly & efficient. There is outdoor seating as well as indoor. We will come again when we are in the neighborhood.

This place is awesome, but as a non New Yorker, I was stressed out. The guys behind the counter yelling "next" when the extensive menu on the wall is so overwhelming you don't know what to order. They have a ton of home made cream cheese spreads, lots of fresh baked bagels, and all types of options. Probably, if your heart desires it, you can just shout it out and it will come to fruition. The bagels are fresh, toasted to perfection, and the cream cheese delicious. Pair it with a cup of fresh brewed coffee and you're set. The line moves quickly as long as people know what to order. Enjoy.

Last week I ordered the PB&J spread, they called to see what bagel I wanted. The bagel arrived with PB&J, that simple. Today I ordered the spread, then around ten minutes later a lady called at 12:51pm. For 17 seconds I said "hello?" "Hello?" And I could hear her having a conversation with someone in the background. Never checking whether I was on the phone and then they hung up. When only PB&J arrived without a bagel I called to say I didn't receive a bagel. The same lady said I called you and you didn't pick up. (I did pick up and was on the line saying hello for 17 seconds) I was then accused of making mistakes with the order and it was my fault. After taking as much attitude from her as I could, I asked to speak to a manager. From there a man who had difficulties with English, listened to her in the background and then told me that she called and I didn't pick up. I mentioned I order there every week, he then hung up on me. Atrocious behavior from this establishment,

The dining room was extremely hot, and there didn't appear to be any air conditioning, which made it uncomfortable throughout the meal. The food also took quite a while to arrive. I ordered a tequila mule, but it was lacking flavor and was underwhelming. For my entrée, I ordered the steak medium well, but it came out medium rare. Despite being undercooked, the steak was surprisingly tough and chewy, and it did not seem like a quality cut of meat considering the price. The waiter was friendly and provided good service, which was the highlight of the visit. However, due to the uncomfortable atmosphere, slow food service, disappointing drink, and poor-quality steak, I would not recommend dining here.

Think vintage wallpaper, little knick-knacks, and warm lighting. It's got character. It was a hearty portion - super fresh and flavorful, and honestly more than I could finish (not a complaint!). I also ordered a Diet Pepsi with grenadine; they don't carry Diet Coke, which I almost docked a point for, but the mix was unexpectedly delicious. Highly recommend it. My date ordered the hanger steak and said it was absolutely amazing. Only hiccup: his first glass of wine he got came out hot... like, microwave-level warm. Fortunately, the server brought a new (cold) one and the rest of the meal was smooth sailing. Service was friendly, the vibe was homey and relaxed, and the food was solid across the board. Would definitely come back, especially for that salad and another round of grenadine magic.

It was our first time eating at a Friedman's location. It had a nice diner feel to it, with a mix of booths and tables. The brunch menu has a variety of breakfast items, salads, sandwiches and burgers, starters, and entrees (fish tacos, grain bowl, fried chicken). I like that several of the items are naturally gluten free, and some can be made gluten free by request. We decided to go with three breakfast items from the brunch menu: I got the shakshuka, my sister got the Nova Benny, and we got the lemon ricotta pancakes to share. All 3 dishes were great. The shashuka came with grilled ciabatta, perfect for dipping into the sunny side eggs and tomato sauce. My sister loved that the poached eggs and smoked salmon of the Nova Benny came on top of a crispy potato latke. The pancakes were fluffy and the lemon ricotta and lemon zest elevated their flavor. Our server was friendly and attentive, and he asked us if we had any allergies when he took our order. He came by several times to check on us and refill water.
