I live in the neighborhood and frequent this spot..I love the bagels and for the most part the staff is amazing especially the girls during the week. Would get 5 stars but....there is a man who works there on the weekends that is an absolute sh*tshow. He makes the place completely uncomfortable, makes off color'ed comments, forgets orders, takes guests out of order(Allows his friends to order and get coffees while others stand in line) and I definitely will not go in again when he is working. He quite honestly seems wasted and I feel terrible for the sweet lady making the bagels that has to work with him at this busy location. Maybe he is family of the owner so they give him a job but he should absolutely not be working in this type of capacity. read more

Really great bagels at a great price. Unfortunately, their bizarre policies and customer service means I will never go back to this location. I asked for 6 of the 9 everything bagels they had in the case and the woman behind the counter said there wasn't enough to sell me six because other customers may want some. She offered to sell me three everything and three of something else and I refused because everyone I was purchasing for had requested an everything. After a 5 minute back-and-forth she called the other location and asked if they would bring her some more everything in order to sell me what I was asking for. She also explained that their not even allowed to sell a dozen bagels which seemed completely irrelevant as I was asking for half that. As I left she told me I could smile because I got what I wanted. Not so sure what I wanted was to have to talk someone into selling me their product. If this store runs out of everything bagels so easily and they want to make sure they're available for all of the customers that want them, maybe they should carry more of that and less of the flavors they don't sell out of. read more

We finally had the opportunity to walk over and try this new spot for lunch. It was a bit of a "meh" experience. I'll start with the good: The service was very friendly and prompt, although we were the only 2 people in there so with 2 people making our 2 sandwiches that's to be expected I guess. The space was nice and clean. It was a warm day and it was nice and cool inside with a relaxing vibe. A bunch of granite-topped tables and then some outdoor seating options if you decide to eat your food there. They have Boar's Head meats and cheeses...which is really the best brand, in my opinion. The bagels were tasty! Not as good as NY bagels (smaller, less chewy and more bready), but definitely better than your average neighborhood bagel. The needs-improvement: This was lunch time on a Thursday and there wasn't much in the case. They were out of the majority of their bagel varieties and then there were some muffins and a few other pastries. Not very impressive. There were a few boards stating some available items as well as printed paper menus at the register. We were quickly told that menu didn't really provide much info and she went on to verbally list all the meats/cheeses/condiments/salads available. This was fine but if it was busy and I had to wait to get to the front of the line to even know what was available, I think I'd be annoyed. And no prices clearly posted. So finding out that 2 bagel sandwiches (one ham and cheese and one lox) were $17 was a bit more than expected. We didn't even get drinks. They were out of tomato, so I knew that wouldn't be on my lox sandwich, however they forgot to put the capers on :( Capers are my favorite part! Luckily I had some in my fridge so I added them myself. SO...I can see myself picking up a few bagels and making sandwiches at home, but otherwise I think it's too expensive for what you end up with. They just opened a few months ago, so maybe they just have to pass the learning curve and figure out how to keep the case properly stocked. And menu boards would be a good move. I want to support them because I think this is the type of place our neighborhood needs (there's nothing else like it on Broadway), but I think they need to step it up a bunch. read more

I have patiently waited for this location to open. My husband and I used to pass by their route 44 location (in north providence) a few times a week until we moved. I now pass by here a few times a week! Lucky me! I've been missing my spinach bagels. Let me tell you this is the best bagel in the state. The spinach bagel is my favorite. I love it with veggie cream cheese. Which they mix up fresh--it makes a huge difference. My husband always ordered the breakfast sandwiches--they are big! The bagel is perfect to pair with the egg cheese and whatever meat you like. Their ice coffee large size is huge and they have a ton of flavors which are brewed beans not syrups. Try it out! You will become addicted like I am. The owner is really nice and the staff working there is always friendly. read more

Convenient, quick bite if you're in the neighborhood. I'm pretty spoiled from Bagel Gourmet on Thayer and bagel shops in NY, so the food here kind of fell flat with me. I am a modest food portions kind of gal, but the items felt skimpy even to me. The bagels are pretty small and the bread for sandwiches are very meh. Ordered a lox bagel and jerk chicken sandwich with a drink, which came out to $21. Not a great value. read more

This is my favorite place to stop on my way to work. The staff are exceptional, always speedy and very friendly. They also have soy and almond milk (unsweetened and sweetened almond milk!). A pleasant surprise for someone with a dairy allergy. The coconut macaroon flavored coffee (not a syrup, but flavored beans) is my favorite. The breakfast sandwiches are huge and delicious. A soft 4. Great: Traditional bagel/egg/cheese breakfast sandwiches! They're delicious too. You can't get an egg breakfast sandwich at 7 Stars, White Electric, or The Grange. You can go to North to get more of a fancy sandwich (which are great too). If there are places nearby, that sell these, lmk! Overall they offer a traditional variety of food/drink, which could be refreshing for some people.They offer fruit cups too (they're good). Service is nice. Well, the girls are nice and personable. The older guy is a guy that doesn't smile. Could be better: The interior is really drab, furniture is meh, lighting is weak, lacking charm all around visually when compared to White Electric, Grange, or something like The Shop on Wickenden. I went once and the mop closet was wide open right behind the register (not the coolest visual). That said, it's not preventing me from getting my good food for take out. I just don't think I'd want to sit inside. They do have chairs/tables set outside too, which is nice. Suggestion: They're not taking advantage of the huge windows facing the street. They should put counters with stools at each window, and only have the flyers posted somewhere where it's not obstructing the view. Every time I'm in there, someone is trying sooo hard to stretch their neck to look out the window from those low tables. It seems so obvious to me... I'll probably update this next time I go so that the experience is fresh in my head. Overall, good addition to the neighborhood. I hope they stick around! read more

HOUSE MADE BAGELS!!! Need I say more! Staff is SUPER friendly and they serve 32oz "Tank" iced coffee...... LOVE EVERYTHING!!! I have gotten the Bagel with cream cheeses, lox, capers, and tomato a bunch of times now and each time I finish I want more because its so good (and I have a very small stomach for breakfast that early!) Im glad that there is such a good place within walking distance of my house for a good bagel. Coming from New York where deli's & bagels are a staple, this is a definite positive plus to the neighborhood!!! read more
