Bagel King Jr. Is a hidden gem. Sits next to a barber shop and a convenience store. Smaller than the main shop, it only has 3-4 small tables. The place is always busy because the bagels are great. Almost as good as a NY deli. If you don't get their early, they sometimes run out of certain types. I love their bacon, egg and cheese bagel as well as their schmear. They also serve lunch, but I haven't had a chance to get any of that. The only knock would be that the coffee is lackluster, but who goes to a bagel shop for coffee! read more

A decent bagel like one you could find at any major chain; nothing exceptional. Coffee was on par with most gas stations. Eggs had no flavor and were, it would appear, microwave scrambled. I am not sure how long this Bagel King has been here, but I noticed it by chance while stuck in some crazy traffic on Lakemont. I vowed to try it and compare it to its big brother in nearby Casselberry. Today I finally did. This locale is much tinier (about the size of a small Subways), and should be called Bagel Jr according to my hubs. However, it does have a few two person tables inside and two 4 seat tables outside in front of the restaurant and barbershop next door. They had all of the bagel and spread choices, and most of the cooked breakfast and sandwich items that the larger Bagel King in Casselberry has. However, They did not have any of the pastries, save a few black and white cookies and some muffins and knishes. I was really looking forward to a cherry and cheese danish. Overall, it is a nice location, much closer for the Azalea Park and Baldwin Park crowd, and if you want to avoid the long wait and lines that the Casselberry location has this is the place for you. **I knocked a star for lack of pastry selection, and the fact that out of the four different coffees on display all of them ran out of coffee as you would start to dispense it (and we were there quite early in the AM). read more

We just stopped in for bagel sandwiches and what a disappointment. We ordered Bagel skinny egg sandwiches and found when we were back in the car, there was no egg (or cheese) on one of the sandwiches. The red onions were so thick, I couldn't eat it and the turkey ham was out on the sandwich in a stack of about 8 slices...gross. But there was a young boy working alone in the store so I guess we couldn't expect much. We couldn't either sandwich or the coffee...simply wasn't edible. The store needs a makeover too. Found Brooklyn Water Bagels on University and theirs are great but a long drive. Tried Bagel King Jr it today; not great. This place is small, but cozy. They have a tv to watch. Four tables inside, each 2 seaters. There really isn't space to put tables together but you might be able to pull a third seat over. Outside there are a couple of 4 seaters. I've only had the nova bagel at both locations. It's shaved salmon with a bit of saltiness. This one is fully loaded with toppings and by the end I was sufficiently full. I'm not sure why one reviewer complained about the coffee price. It's $1.85 for a small and $1.99 for large. Plus it's bottomless cup and very good. Other breakfast places I've been to can charge at least $2.50 and sometimes for a crappy watery tasting brew. You also get a choice of 4 brews you help yourself to. I like to mix the regular and hazelnut together. Living in Baldwin Park, it was an easy bike ride for my wife and I here, and this morning was nice and cool for that, plus it was cozy inside the place. The best bagels in Orlando by far and the knishes are wonderful. This is a satellite store where they bring things in every morning from their main bakery. The staff is always friendly and the food is fresh and yummy.Not much seating however and it can get crowded in the mornings. I am a big fan of the nova salmon -if you get the "fish fantasy" there is enough to share (though you may not want to). If you get a sandwich, skip the package chips and opt for the homemade bagel chips or mini knish for your side. read more

Been coming here for nearly 30 years, sometimes good, sometimes O.K. Recently in Casselberry upon entering the store I noticed how disgusting the door handle was. Seriously it looked like it hadn't been cleaned since it opened back in 91, or was it 92 !? Since we still have an ongoing Pandemic, this should be addressed. We sat in the back & service was soso, which happens frequently when we go. My tuna salad bagel was decent but they should visit TooJays & see how much tuna should be on the sandwich as there is a difference. Also Brooklyn Bagels doesn't up charge fir the specialty bagels, and are a worthy adversary. My point is, the foods decent but stop being so stingy, and plleeease, clean a little! read more

We came a little later in the morning close to noon, and because it was our first visit, they very generously gave us a few extra bagels to take home. Overall good experience with this little 'dive' bagel shop. Bagels were very fresh and tasty. Bagels are served w/ an extremely generous portion of your favorite spread... A real cute and tiny place, you can tell it's been there for awhile. They serve what I call "vintage" bagels! They are big, oblong, and old school! They aren't the round cookie cutter looking uber commercial bagels. They had a larger menu than I expected with both a breakfast and lunch menu with sandwiches and salads. The menu looked so good it took me 10 minutes to take it all in and decide! The teenage boy working had an "I love life" attitude, which made it quite pleasant to order and be there! I've been on a hunt for a legit bagel place in Orlando and my prayers have been answered by this glorious place. Went in on a Saturday morning at 9am to a little wait and was served a beautifully stuffed lox, cream cheese, red onion, capers, tomato and lettuce bagel sandwich! This was the KING of bagel sandwiches and I couldn't of been happier. It was hearty and tasty and oh yeah, they also CARVE OUT YOUR BAGELS IF YOU DON'T WANT THE EXTRA BREAD. Love them for that. My wife and I had never had food from this location before today. We have always eaten at the Casselberry location. We ordered delivery from Ubereats and it was a disaster! The driver brought the wrong order and after saying she would go back and bring the correct one she just canceled the whole transaction. OBVIOUSLY NOT THE FAULT OF THE RESTAURANT!! When I called the store and spoke to Brandy she was very apologetic and went above and beyond to fix the situation. She was extremely friendly, and remade the entire order fresh for me and my wife. The people at both of these locations are awesome and the food is always delicious. I can't say enough good things about both Bagel Kings! Also, treat yourself to the side of thick cut bacon! Wide variety of bagels, as well as specialty ones...love the sunflower seed, onion, or everything bagels with fresh chive cream cheese. You can taste the difference in these bagels versus the big chain or grocery store offerings. I've visited this mini-chain in Casselberry, and at the Scrub Jay Conservation Center near Deltona. Located in odd places, but all serving high quality bagels and coffee. Grateful they are in my neighborhood. They also have a whole case of dessert bars, brownies and cookies as well. In my craving for a saturday morning bagel sandwich, I decided to give the lakemont bagel king location a try. This place is small. Be prepared to stand outside if more than 2 people are attempting to order. There are 4-5 small tables inside, but otherwise this is a takeaway location. Service was quick/friendly, however, several "regulars" were allowed to shout their orders from behind me and grab their food while I stood waiting to order. The food itself was just okay. Possibly from the microwaved eggs, I found my sandwich leaving something to be desired in flavor. The bagels here are awesome- the are legit boiled bagels that have hard crust on the outside and are chewy and delicious on the inside. I had a bacon egg and cheese sandwich on an everything bagel and it was huge and delicious! Delightful. Grabbed a bag of goodies after a stroll around the dog park with my four legged companion and what a very pleasant surprise.. Limited on what to choose from as we stumbled across this hidden gem around 10.45am.. Almost everything had been sold but we managed to get a cream cheese filled sesame seed bagel which was everything I had hoped it would be and a knish.. My first ever knish so I had nothing to compare it with but OMG I can now with confidence say I'm a knish fan!! Who would have thought... potato in pastry YUM!! Attempted to call them today to place an order. The person answering the phone hit it off the base and then went into a string of swear words that would have made Andrew Dice Clay blush at. It was obvious that he didn't want or need to answer the phone as he never spoke to me directly. So I gave it a few moments and then called back. I was answered with pretty much Bagel king what do you want..I stated I wanted to place 3 orders and was immediately given the response of 'God *sigh* go ahead". The Casselberry location isn't far from there, they are so much nicer and the food I'm sure is better. Use to love coming to this Bagel king until recently the quality of the food and care from the employees has gone down hill. The cashier doesn't listen to what you want and leaves the women in the kitchen all by herself. My boyfriend and I went in there today and my sandwich was completely wrong. I ordered a new breakfast special on an everything bagel with no cheese sub cream cheese. What I got was an egg, tomato, and cream cheese sandwich on a plain bagel. There were no peppers or onions and also no everything bagel. I didn't notice this till I got home and at that point there was no way I was going back out. They had maybe 3 other customers so it wasn't like they were even that busy. Also my boyfriend opened his sandwich and ALL the egg and meat was on ones side of the bagel and hanging out of the sandwich. The other side only had cream cheese. If this place wants to keep there regulars happy and coming back they need to start making sure they are putting effort into the items and making sure what they are giving people is correct. It will be awhile till I give Bagel King another chance. read more
