I've been here a couple times and have seen the good and the bad. For one the girl in the front hanna is very friendly and welcoming she's always smiling and so patient even though the food is very pricey the service is impeccable from Hanna. I come in every weekend and see some things that worry me. For one I've witnessed the blonde female cook in the back throw bagels which feels a little worrying since this is a friendly store but seems like there's problems with the employees. 1- bagel me is usually my favorite bagel shop BY FAR! this location sucks (which is shocking because the circle is so cute, and it seems like such a good idea to go there.) i've never had a good experience. They are supremely understaffed and everything takes forever, twice I've had the wrong order and just took it to just leave since I'd been there 40minutes 2- they are smart I having the cutest little 16-year-olds I work in the front because it's hard to get mad at them. I typically order online to pick up a bagel sandwich from this spot. I like to get the grilled chicken bagel sandwich at this spot with fries and a side of ranch. I wish they had the western chicken bagel sandwich because that one is so much more flavorful with the mushrooms and caramelized onions. The bagel sandwich in itself is very tasty. The side of fries is pretty minimal and overall the amount you pay is quite pricey which is why my rating is the way it is. I don't get food from here as often as I'd like because it is nearly $15 for a bagel sandwich and to upgrade your side which is almost another $5 is a hefty price. I don't even order my favorite watermelon shooter anymore because it is $9 for a smoothie! For the quality being put out and the amount you receive is not quite worth the price. To get a full meal would cost you close to $30. I would look elsewhere if you would like to get a better bang for your buck and this would be a last minute spot to get this kind of food if you're willing to pay that much every now and then. read more

The bagels here are delicious yet the service is just"meh". I've been here several times usually on a Sunday morning. It sucks that by 10am they pretty don't have much of a variety. It's been 5 Sundays that I call to make a phone order and by 10am they don't have the everything bagel, the jalapeno, the cheese jalapeño, blueberry. I've been told it would be hours before " a jalapeno cheese would be made." I'm really unsure if this is a constant pattern why more bagels aren't made. I stopped in on my way to work to pick up bagels for a morning meeting. I ordered 20 assorted bagels & had them cut in half. I purchased 1 large plain cream cheese & 1 medium jalapeno & onion cream cheese. Separately I ordered a breakfast bagel & coffee for my son, which cost about $20. (EEK) My bad was that I didn't question the price before paying for the meeting bagels, but since I was in a hurry, just paid & headed out. I reviewed the receipt before handing it to my manager - I paid $62.90 for the order I purchased for work. The breakdown: meeting special (12 bagels) $22.01, 8 bagels $19.92, 1 medium plain cream cheese $5.99, 1 Jal & onion cream cheese med $6.99, 1 medium plain cream cheese $5.99, sliced $2.00. I was overcharged for the plain cream cheese (large) which should have been $8.99, instead they charged me #2 medium plain cream cheese @ 5.99/ea = $11.98, overcharged by $2.99. I called them a few days later to ask about the charges & why they didn't advise me to order an additional 4 bagels to get the meeting special; the friendly, sympathetic guy that answered explained that the owner does not want the staff to offer any specials, only to honor them when a customer asks. I was unaware of the meeting special & don't believe I had been given that special previously. If I would have known about it, I would have purchased 24 bagels instead of 20 for only $2.09 more. Needless to say I'm very disappointed in this Bagel Me. I already get flack from my manager for the price when I purchase 12 bagels with cream cheese because the bagel place he goes to in Lake Forest charges at least $10 less than I pay at the Orange Circle Bagel Me. I'm glad I got the meeting special even though I didn't ask for it, because it did save me $7.87. How awful though, that the owner doesn't want his staff to offer specials to their customers who are overpaying for bagels to begin with. Usually I go in for 12 bagels with cream cheese & spend $40-$45......adding 8 bagels for about $20 more is ridiculous. My manager would only give me $40 towards the bagels.....I had to cover the remaining $12.90 for a work meeting......so not cool! I haven't been to a Bagel Me in forever. I thought why not since it's close to work and it would be quick. Wrong. Wrong. Wrong. When I walked in I noticed a party of four sitting at one of the tables waiting for their food. So I thought cool, it'll be quick since they already ordered. I ordered the BLT with avocado. I waited about 30 minutes from the time I ordered to the time I got my food. Definitely order online if you have the chance. When I received my food I was taken off guard, they handed it to me and said "BLT with avocado" I opened it and it was their turkey sandwich. I didn't say anything because I really didn't have the time to wait another 30 minutes for them to fix it. They still put avocado and bacon on it as if it were a BLT so I ended up taking out all the turkey since I don't usually eat turkey. I asked for a box and they said sure thing. I waited five minutes and I realized that they had forgotten so I asked again. It took three different people to hand me a to go box. My favorite little bagel shop around. This location is in a nice quiet shopping area really close to where I live so it makes for a perfect stop to grab a healthy breakfast. My go to is an Everything bagel toasted with Swiss cheese, egg, salt and pepper OR the Sesame seed toasted with avocado, lemon pepper and capers, yummy! Perhaps the best thing here are the amazing breakfast potatoes that come with your bagel. You have to taste them if you make it here. Everyone is really nice that works here and you can tell they believe in great customer service. Even prior to Covid challenges with staffing they tend to have a pretty small crew and your order can take a little longer than your average bagel shop. But I'm telling you, the potatoes are worth the wait! I usually grab breakfast before heading to the Ralph's next door to do some shopping. read more

The only complaint I have is the parking and location, which is right in the Orange Circle. If you're coming at a busy time and want to get in and out, the parking is definitely going to make that process a lot longer. read more
