WTF Polly's!!! I ordered a s l ice of pie and this is what you present?! You should be ashamed of yourself and I will be seeking a refund. Avoid this place if you care about your food prep.

I had not been to this location since I was in 5th grade when my small class walked here for pie. It is the best place for delectable freshly baked pies, I mean, it is in the name. But aside from dessert, they have reeeeeeeally good burgers and sandwiches. And if you sign up online, you get a free meal for your birthday, along with a free slice of pie. They even include a voucher for your whole group to each get a free slice of pie with every entree purchase. I have not seen this kind of birthday deal anywhere else! If you haven't signed up yet, what are you waiting for?

This place is always clutch for consistency. I love the atmosphere here, it has a very nice and cozy vibe. In addition I've always met some friendly folks here. I've never had food here that was over or under cooked. Breakfast, lunch or dinner, you can't go wrong with the grub. The only part lacking for this specific location is the wait help can be hit or miss. The wait help tends to get overwhelmed easily and sometimes the hosts seem a little timid or inconvenienced to help.

Came in for a meal before sports practice and everything was great! We walked in on a Tuesday afternoon and were seated right away. Our waiter was awesome! He took our order and delivered everything within 15 mins to the table. It was delicious! Had some burgers, chicken sandwich, tuna melt and fries with onion rings. The chicken fried steak was great too! Then for dessert we took home a chocolate pie and Banberry pie. By the time we left it started to get crowded. Breakfast looks amazing too! Will be back for that soon! Stop in for some pie, lunch or dinner today! They have Bingo Wednesday nights too!

Polly's is must for breakfast, lunch or dinner. Today we celebrated my daughter making the high school lacrosse team. She wanted Polly's. Hands down Polly's has the best pancakes around. They are fluffy, moist but not mushy. And the pancakes soak up the syrup perfectly. Scrambled eggs and extra crispy hashbrowns with bacon for sure slaps. My daughter and wife went with the grilled cheese and tomato bisque soup which they loved. My son is a chicken strip and fries fanatic. Ambiance is always mellow and chill. Service is always great and friendly. See you again soon Polly's.

Our book club opted for late brunch for our monthly meet-up. Not a usual spot to host a book club meeting, but we couldn't turn down pie. Being a Sunday afternoon, the parking lot had ample space, with plenty of seating available. I came in last, but our party of six got a table quite easily with no wait. Their menu is large, classic diner style options with a separate menu just for their desserts. I opted for one of their specials- Brat and Eggs ($13.99) - Menu stated we could choose any bakery item with this choice, but our server said the only thing I could have was their blueberry muffin. I even said I'd pay the difference for a slice of pie. This was probably when I realized service was not going to be great. I had also asked for a Vanilla Cold Brew ($5.29) - specifically asked for it half sweet. Was it? Maybe to their standards? It was way too sweet for me to finish and she didn't bother to ask how it was after. Tried Banana Cream Pie and their Pumpkin Praline Cheesecake - just overly sweet and artificial tasting with both. Not really impressed with the service or the food here, even for a diner.

It rests on a bed of beans which we opted not to get. The chilaquiles were pretty good. We got the steak addon which was okay at 3.5/5, not very flavorful. * Pistachio Waffles 4/5 - This came with 2 pistachio waffles, pistachio ice cream, strawberry and caramel syrup, condensed milk, and topped with real pistachios. It was a nice to try something different. The waffle was good, but it didn't have a lot of pistachio flavor. We also got drinks. Both the Strawberry Horchata and the Mazapan Latte were very good 5/5. The Mazapan tasted exactly like its namesake candy.

We arrived at 8:30 for a planned 9AM breakfast. The hostess took our name and party size and then requested that we let her know when everyone arrived. She estimated 40 to 45 minutes. We were called a few minutes before 9 and seated. Great start Everyone ordered drinks and then the server came back and took meal orders. I went with my regular breakfast meal, French toast with scrambled eggs and bacon. My girlfriend chose a spin on eggs Benedict with beef. Food came out quickly and was served hot. Everything tasted good and fresh for me. I especially enjoyed their bacon, cooked perfectly to my liking and fantastic flavor. Bonus that they served me 3 pieces. The server was especially helpful by allowing us to come to the register when it was time to pay and after telling her our orders she was able to charge us each individually which is always very helpful with a large group. Parking is challenging, they do have a small lot behind the restaurant but even with a compact car the spaces were tight. There is some street parking if you luck out and find a space. There are also municipal lots around downtown orange and the traffic circle which offer additional spaces. We will definitely return. Loved the kitschy decor and old gas station feel.

We discovered this little corner place tucked away on Miraloma off of Kramer after a doctor appointment at Kaiser down the street because of the great reviews. Now we travel to this breakfast/brunch place from anywhere just to get the GREAT FOOD and friendly smiles! it always has people coming and going, to sit down or take out, so you can tell it is very popular. The seating is a bit limited, but we have never had to wait. Today, I had the three egg vegetable omelet (so lots to take home!), just packed with tomatoes, spinach and peppers, huge pieces of wheat toast and lots of berries and oranges. I also got a strawberry Belgian Waffle covered in fruit (it comes with cheese but I didn't like that). My husband got eggs and hash browns with sausage, which he devoured. Our entire meal was $50-something which I think was great considering I added on the waffle meal, so 3 total. Just delicious! I always thank the cooks. They deserve it! And they give you a huge cup of coffee (me) that is refilled and have many kinds of tea (him), and we always get the fresh squeezed OJ. I hope you try them out!

I was surprised that it would take ten minutes for our kamayan to come out. Now, I was to stressed this is a brunch kamayan. Not the 20 people feast that people are used to eat. This kamayan came with all the meat dishes: tocino, adobo, beef stew, and longanisa with a tomato/onion salad and garlic rice. It was sooooo good. I'm happy I got to try it out and happy with the service. The kamayan is for 3-4 people. I was with two friends and we were full to the max! The setting was typical for a restaurant but had a Filipino flair. It's very spacious. The restroom is unisex and clean.

I really liked: Iloko Moco…read more Ube Tres Leches French Toast I liked: Thai Tea Cold Brew This was ok: Ube Sweet Cream Cold Brew Lola's by MFK is a cute Filipino brunch spot in Anaheim with some really fun menu items. The Iloko Moco was easily one of the highlights. It comes with country fried steak, two sunny eggs, garlic rice, adobo gravy, green onions, and fried garlic. The flavor was great and everything blended together really well. I liked that the steak still had a good crunch even with the gravy, and the garlic rice was pronounced without being too overpowering. It's definitely more Filipino inspired than a traditional Hawaiian loco moco, but that's not a bad thing at all. The Ube Tres Leches French Toast was also really good. It was drenched in ube tres leches sauce and topped with fresh fruit, toasted coconut, and shaved almonds. The ube flavor was actually on point and noticeable, but the dish somehow still didn't feel too heavy. The French toast itself was soft and easy to eat. For drinks, the Thai Tea Cold Brew was solid. It had a little more Thai tea flavor than the ube drink and felt more full-bodied overall. The Ube Sweet Cream Cold Brew was fine, but it leaned much more cold brew than ube. The ube flavor was pretty light and kind of got swallowed up by the coffee once mixed together. Both drinks were okay, but I think the food stood out a lot more. The cafe itself is cute, but a little rough around the edges. It has that Anaheim feel where it's charming, but not as polished as something you might see in Irvine. The tables could have been wiped down a bit more, and there were some dents and dings on the walls. Service was fine at first and they checked on us early, but after the food came out, it was hard to get anyone's attention. We needed extra utensils and had a tough time waving someone down. Overall, I'd still come back for the Iloko Moco and Ube Tres Leches French Toast because those were both really good. #goodeats
