Hey Lauren, met you when you opened. Took a ton of menus to my condo around the corner and told everyone how great you were. That day you promised to keep your prices low and not jump on the inflation bandwagon. That was a farce. Not only have you jacked prices into the stratosphere but now your quality is beginning to suffer dramatically. Toasted bagels are routinely burned black, pancakes taste like peppers and onions because the grill isn't scraped and kept clean. Your staff is generally friendly, but they don't speak enough English and they make mistakes all the time. It wouldn't be a big deal but you charge $13.+ for three pancakes which is ridiculous. This morning the coffee was so poorly brewed it tasted like a chai latte. I recommend you adjust your prices, hire people that can communicate with customers and implement real quality control. It's not hard and given the prices you charge, you owe this to your customers. read more

Huge selection of top notch bagels in NYC. I always go plain or blueberry and they did not disappoint. Perfectly chewy, almost too much shmear. Went to Bagel Pub because it appeared to be the best choice for bagel and lox writhing walking distance from our hotel. The place was humming with activity from customers and staff. Tables were busy but there was room to sit upstairs. The variety of spreads was amazing, and each one looked like a culinary masterpiece. If I could give zero stars, I would. My experience at Bagel Pub was one of the worst I've ever had at any restaurant in New York City. First, I waited in line for roughly 20 minutes, and after placing an order they informed me that it would take max 20 minutes for my bagel to be ready. I then waited for over an hour, which seemed excessive, but I decided to give them the benefit of the doubt because I had heard good things. Big mistake. After an hour of waiting, it was clear they lost my ticket and refused to help locate it. The staff didn't give me the time of day. Someone finally found my cold bagel sitting in the back amidst the chaos--it was incorrect, cold, and the bagel was not even toasted, despite me specifically asking for it to be toasted. Not a single "sorry" or acknowledgment of the delays or mistakes. Just a bad attitude and terrible service. The bagel was extremely mediocre, cold, and frankly I'm not sure how this shop stays in business. The lack of professionalism, the disregard for customer service, and the total chaos in managing orders are shocking. I don't know if this is the norm here, but based on my experience, I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone. Save your time, money, and sanity--go somewhere else. read more

I love Bagel Pub in Brooklyn - I've been a regular at the Crown heights location for years - so I'm very excited there's another one! The inside has seating at the front and the back, and all the cream cheeses look very appealing in the same way their other locations do. I'm so glad they have multiple vegan/plant-based options of tofu cream cheese. This small bagel joint was less than a block from my hotel so I decided to give it a go. It was 11 am on a Saturday so there were a few people in line but the line moved very quickly. The cream cheese selections were amazing and the presentation was beautiful. They made the cream cheese look like gelato!!! Very photogenic! I opted for the everything bagel with 1/2 sun dried tomato and 1/2 olive cream cheese toasted. Cost was reasonable at around $5. Bagel was nice and airy, cream cheese has a great consistency. I actually really liked the olive ones. Next time I will try a sweet one. the worst service and business experience I have had in 40 years living in NYC. there are no prices anywhere in the store and there is no pricing in the cases by the pound for salads, etc.. when I went to check out and got my bill my portion of tuna, fish salad, and one bagel was not even ready yet. The bill was $15.55 for 3/4 lb tuna and 1 bagel. When I got the bill, it included a 50 Cent charge credit card. Again, no visible signage or I would have given them cash. There were 3 women behind the register area, two of which were doing nothing and laughing, and the other one looked at me clueless when I charge. She pointed to a small piece of paper that was the size of a long index card buried at the bottom of the counter like someone is supposed to actually see it.
