Poppyseed bagel with scallion cream cheese

As a former Long Islander, I ALWAYS make the stop at Bagelicious when I am back in town. I mean - you just have to! This is exactly what you are looking for if you are seeking a LI bagel cafe. Tons of bagel and spread options, baked goods, sandwiches, you name it. The best part (to me) is the group of older men who meet here in the mornings for coffee and to hang out. They are just adorable and #goals. My favorite is their poppy bagel with scallion cream cheese, but you really can't go wrong!

Everything bagel, sausage, egg and cheese

Solid bagel, I also got a cinnamon roll as well snd that was great too. Bagels came out fast even thought it was busy.

    Actual receipt of purchase.

Mom and my daughter had the Biscuits and Gravy with added chicken. My wife had the Spicy Seoul Benny, my son the Twisted burger and I had the Chicken and Waffles. Yum, yum! Based on another reviewers recommendation, we called while on the way to be added to the waitlist. Was told to expect a 30 minute wait. Once we arrived we waited less than 10. Our server was Giselle. Super nice, attentive and helpful. She made sure our table was well taken care of. The place is nice. I'd say best suited for parties of four or less, but accommodations can be made as needed. Good service, comfortable seating and good food. Will return to try other dishes.

Their menu is genuinely exciting, especially for a breakfast lover like me. I was torn between the…read morebiscuits and gravy and the eggs Benedict, but I almost always end up choosing eggs Benny when it's available, so I went with the fried chicken eggs Benedict. My husband ordered the tater tot waffles with scallion, sausage gravy, and sunny-side-up eggs, which also allowed me to try a bit of the gravy, something I really enjoyed. The restaurant itself is spacious and comfortable, with a kind of nostalgic, old-school diner feel, almost like a more polished version of Cracker Barrel. The staff had that classic diner professionalism too...experienced, efficient, and clearly very used to doing what they do well. My only real complaints were minor. I couldn't really taste the cheddar biscuits, and I didn't love the pickles on the eggs Benedict. I also would have preferred a bit more hollandaise. I know I could have asked for extra, but I just didn't bother in the moment. That said, I saw so many other dishes passing by that looked great, and there are plenty of things I'd still like to try. Unfortunately, it's not a neighborhood I'm often in, it's about an hour from home. That said, the next time I find myself in the area, I'll definitely make a point of stopping in again.

Unfortunately, this review is not good at all due to the lack of class, judgment, and inadequacy of this establishment. We came here on a date night because we heard nothing but great reviews on this place. We were seated by a very unpleasant hostess who made it known she did not want to be there at all. We waited for a while for a server to come up to us to get our drink order, but that never happened. I was reluctant to leave at first, but then noticed that there was another table across from us a family of four with two kids who were having the same problem too. They waited patiently as we were, but no one was around to serve us because they were all standing at the bar being loud and goofing around. At that point I had enough and we walked out. I have now read the most recent reviews on this establishment after I left and I should have done that before we came here. A lot of unpleasant reviews have been posted for the past six months about this place. So apparently there's a reason why I had the experience I did as everyone else did recently. It's a shame because the Old reviews prior to the past couple of months were phenomenal. Oh wait you guys must be permanently closed by now as one of the other posts said. Now you should understand why. It is what it is, Right?

It was missing the blue cheese that the menu said it came with, but I didn't miss it! Everything was so tasty and fresh! I didn't even need that much dressing as the salad was flavorful enough. Found parking in the small side parking lot. Sat at bar and order NA drinks. Split Avocado Fries with cousin to begin. Very unique treat without being greasy. Dipping sauce was a plus. Next came the Crispy Brussel Sprouts with green apple, pickled red onion, bacon and maple bourbon dressing. Be still my heart! Finished out with a Poached Pear & Goat Cheese Salad. Love that there was plenty of champagne vinaigrette for all the lettuce. $39 plus drinks, tax & tip and we took home leftovers. Bartender/server was very friendly without being too much. Would have hung out longer, but the fun vibe was also the main reason to call it earlier - just a tad too loud to carry on any conversation. The trivia was great, but there wasn't a lot of down time between song bytes. Definitely a must-go if you're in the area. Not a large place, so go early. :)

And they have a few vegan options! Don't expect macarons nor tarts, but that blueberry croissant I had was so delicious. It was more of a whole grain pastry than a traditional buttery croissant but because the blueberry filling was so sweet, I was happy for a less decadent pastry. I love that they have a nice array of coffee and matcha drinks too. I'm pretty sure the word has been out for some time now, but when that Starbucks line in the parking lot is just too much, The French Workshop is a better option (however, on a rainy Saturday in May, that line inside was considerable. People know what's good!) There's plenty of seating, too and if you are good at pretending, you almost feel you're in Europe (ignore the suburban strip mall that surrounds you).
