Uncomfortable setting. Overpriced. Bad coffee. I went to have breakfast and wanted to get what I usually order at other bagel places: Nova Lox bagel with onions, tomato and capers. The menu had two entries: A $9.99 sandwich only and a "platter one" for $13.99 that includes a pickle and potato salad. I made it clear that I just wanted the sandwich version. I was charged $13.99. The atmosphere was very hectic with hardly any space for the waitress to navigate to from tables. The coffee was really bad. I guess I am spoiled by the good coffee at pretty much anywhere else. I want to start by saying, I've been coming to bagel mania for years. I have always loved the servers & the food is always great. But today was sadly the opposite. I called prior to our visit to ask if they could accommodate my party of 8. 2 kids and 6 adults. We came in and were seated immediately. It took a little for us to be initially greeted but no big deal. Our service was fine & food came out quickly. After we received our food we weren't checked on throughout the meal but once. At the end of our visit we explained that our checks would need to be separated. Our server became immediately frustrated with us and said "you know, next time you really need to say this in the beginning because it's a lot of work to have to separate everything!" As she rolled her eyes. Of course we were absolutely taken a back and have never had an issue before. Having been a server before, I can understand making that decision at the beginning of our outing, but sometimes situations are decided on last minute. LOL I didn't even bother to tell the waitress that she brought me tuna salad instead of chicken salad and coleslaw, Instead of potato salad, she looked like she had a rough night... and she was busy on her cell phone.... I seen another waitress a blonde, picking up a food order from the counter and a bagel dropped on the area where they stand on to reach the food. She had the bus girl/lady (Linda)? Pick up the bagel and took it back where the food is cooked and the next thing I know there was a bagel up on the window where they serve the customers...I didn't know if I should tell the table who was served the bagel or to tell the owner. I decided to stay quiet...than the check came, long story short, my mom was charged $1.99 for sliced tomatoes, she thought it was included, no big deal but the waitress had a shit fit when I asked her what was $1.99 ...the receipt is just scribble with prices. After leaving I sat in my car in disbelief at what just happened! and decided to call and talk to the owner and ask why she allowed her waitress to yell at me? Well...She didn't give me a chance to ask... she was very abrupt and rude and stuck up for the waitress!!!!! Wow! The owner said that she reviewed the video and that they served a new bagel! And that they had another bagel already cooked for another table...And hung up on me! lol ok So if you enjoy your food from the floor or not... I guess enjoy your bagel! They got over $80 from me today but in the long run lost so much more. I will be informing dirty dinning and the health dept, I do hope the owner saves the tape to prove their innocence... Oh wait... I just remembered something...that table of 4 with the "bagel"and one more table of 2 walked in at the same time... so they were the last 2 tables ...so there were no other orders! My little one always orders the Belgium Waffle with strawberries and whipped cream, they know, extra whipped cream for him! It's perfectly cooked, brown and crisp on the outside, soft on the inside. My husband ordered something different than usual...the Tuna Club. It was enough for two people, but he polished it off no problem. White meat tuna and just the right amount of celery and mayo...yummers! I ordered the egg white omelet with spinach and couldn't finish it, mainly because I devoured the home fries which I order slightly well done...perfection! Having some business to conduct in the area I quickly yelped some breakfast spots and this one popped up. The reviews were good and we were hungry, so it was a no brainer. It's located in a pretty abandoned plaza, so don't get discouraged. You can tell it's a friendly restaurant that gets a lot of regulars. They were very friendly and the food was great! The grits were delicious, something that's hard to find in South Florida. The portions are very generous, we could have easily shared our omelette sundress of ordering two massive ones. The prices are fair and it didn't seem like a high volume restaurant,so you can enjoy your food peacefully. We would definitely return for some pancakes next time. read more

You don't find too many of these type of breakfast/lunch type diners around anymore. Everyone's always looking for the newest hip place to brunch at, including myself on some occasions. I actually thought this place was more of a franchise based on the name, but you can tell that Bagelmania has been around a while and definitely withstood the test of time. They still actually have someone come do painted art on their front windows which is really cool and nostalgic. The inside is very divey and diner-esq. They even had the classic candy and lollipop jars at the front counter where you pay! We were welcomed immediately upon entry by several friendly staff members. The waitress came over immediately and asked for our drink order, followed by another who asked for our food order. (We were later advised that they all work together as a team so they take a collective tip and split it up amongst everyone at the end of the day.) When I asked about the specials she immediately said that the pumpkin pancakes were amazing and I was sold. They came with a side of two eggs and bacon or sausage. I obviously chose the bacon! I also ordered a cup of coffee which was accidentally served in a slightly dirty cup. Thankfully one of my friends noticed and the waitress apologized and immediately brought me a new one. No harm no foul guys, stuff happens! The food came out super fast and everything was hot and fresh. The two pumpkin pancakes were huge and sprinkled with cinnamon sugar on the top! So so yummy! Like dessert for breakfast! The eggs were cooked just the way I asked and the bacon was nice and crisly! I also got to try the fried French toast which they coat in frosted flakes before they deep fry it! HOLY WOW! I'll definitely be ordering that for myself next time! Came to get lunch real quick. Got the Philly cheesesteak and subbed the fries for home fries instead. Very mom and pop diner feel. Philly cheesesteak was dry and needed more seasoning. The meat seemed like it was freezer burned before it was over cooked into the sandwich. The peppers tried to bring it back to life but it didn't work. I've never had a cheesesteak where I could see all the grains in the meat after I ate it. Home fries were made with red potatoes and could go either way. The crunchy parts were awesome. But there was more soggy mush than crunchy. Overall I'd try it again just to see if this was an off day for the cook but only if I really had to and I'd definitely order something else. I had the Three Stoodges Curly Breakfast -- Pancakes, Eggs and a toasted Bagel with Cream Cheese. The breakfast and lunch menus were extensive and there was a take out counter for bagels, black and white cookies etc. For a weekday lunch, Bagel Mania appeared to be very popular place. Excited to try this place I first ordered a Rachel Sandwich lunch special which came with a soup. Back at work I open my lunch- no soup Next visit I order Cobb salad blue cheese dressing on the side I knew I was in for trouble when Diana the owners daughter had trouble finding the salad dressing. This was the first Cobb salad I ever had that did not have avocado. And the blue cheese dressing was watery and gross. Absolutely the worst blue cheese dressing I have ever seen or tasted. On my next visit, I asked Diana if avocado normally comes in the cobb salad. She inquired in the kitchen, returned, and said no. I also told her about the blue cheese dressing and she agreed it was below standards. She blamed Sysco where it comes from. I told her at the bare minimum they should serve packets of Ken's salad dressing because that blue cheese dressing simply should not be served. Also The soda out of there cooler tasted like it had been exposed to the elements. I would not trust their sodas or juices that are all bottled and I consider suspect. There is one saving grace which I have discovered. Their minestrone soup only made on Monday is fantastic. Avoid everything else! I found a way better lunch option about a mile away called los paisanos everyone in there is Spanish but they do speak English and for eight bucks you can get a nice complete meal and you won't hear any bs excuses. read more

We had stopped at the Weston Orchard Supply (love that place) for a few things and "remembered" we were hungry. At 11:30 AM, Bagelmania sounded about right, and nearly right next door. Well, as another reviewer mentioned, it looks like a place that has stood the test of time. It was a bit shop-worn, and in need of some TLC, and a new cost of paint. But, we were in the mood for fresh made bagels. Guess what, they don't make their own bagels! Oh, come on now, with a name like Bagelmania!! But we didn't panic, and while I don't know where they got their bagels, but I need to visit that place too. They had the right variety (I can't stand places with weird flavored; I.e. French toast, etc, bagels) and they were chewy inside with a nice crust. We both had three egg omelettes, and they were huge. I'd hate to meet the chicken that laid those three eggs. The omelettes were perfectly done, as was the cup of oatmeal that I ordered instead of potatoes. Now oatmeal at 11:30 can be a bit overdone, and mushy. I don't know how they did it, and I'm not asking, but it looked and tasted fresh-made. I would certainly go back when in the area and dig into other selections on the huge menu they have. read more

We live nearby and this is our favorite local breakfast spot. The food is delicious and the service is outstanding. It's small and cute and if there's a line, it's worth the wait. We've never waited long at all and food comes out quick. It's open for breakfast and lunch but we have never eaten lunch here. Our favorite is the breakfast special with 2 eggs, toast and grits or potatos...the grits here are the best!! We ask them to put cheddar cheese on top and it's even better! It's nothing special. It's just a typical bagel joint. We have been having Sunday breakfast there for over ten years. Omelettes are ok, the vary in size from week to week. They don't have a signature dish to bring you back. The wait staff had been there for years. Most of the time the orders received not correct. Today we received the wrong bagel, other bagels came cold. I ordered oatmeal that never arrived. They still use a pad of paper for a wait list. Paying is nuts. The same person takes your payment, fields phone orders and fills orders for take out. I asked the owner why they don't have a phone app for to go orders? She responded they would not work for her. I responded they work for other restaurants. Stupidly she said they have been open for 38 years, there system worked then and it still works now. They had a second location that went out of business.
