The staff is a mixed bag of very friendly people intermixed with folks who act like they'd rather be anyplace else. Inside has a decent amount of seating but not really enough. Bluegrass bagels is popular! Especially on Saturday mornings. Thankfully they are efficient. The long line to order moves quickly since the smiling cashier takes the orders efficiently. I appreciate how she communicates clearly and confirms the order to ensure it is placed correctly. They call out your name when it is ready. Seating is available nearby so you can sit comfortably as you wait. If you don't have time to wait you can place an order online in advance. The counter to the left of the cash register is reserved for picking up online orders. I ordered at the register and received my accurate order in about 15 min. It probably took me more time to decide what to order since there are so many options! They don't just have bagels and bagel sandwiches. They have numerous baked goods and treats available plus frozen dinner entrees like chicken parmesan and shrimp scampi. Other information: -Ample parking spots available in two lots -Ample indoor seating at tables and booths -Several tables available for dining outside -Multiple entrances/exits which keep one area from becoming over crowded -WiFi information posted -Prices and portions are reasonable -Comfortable atmosphere with low volume Only complaint is that you do have some cross contamination between the bagel flavors. We went here multiple times on our trip. It was that good. The first time I walked in, it reminded of a spot in Jersey we used to go to. I loved the atmosphere. Take a look around at all the goodies and when your ready You order at the register. The 1st time we came in I was just picking up bagels and cream cheese, which the bagels are fantastic. They have a beautiful crust and soft inside. They toasted all our bagels for us which was nice. Our second visit we ate inside and got a plain bagel with cream cheese, a French toast bagel that was really really good. And got one of these melt in your mouth cinnamon rolls that were so yummy. The third day we got a kids pancake with sausage that the pancake was really good. I wish it wasn't served in Styrofoam and I also got a slice of carrot cake which tasted like it had been sitting in the case for awhile It wasn't that great. Shocking to see someone (employee) standing right next to the "pick up" counter and not even bother to ask anyone in the long line if they are there for a pick up... it's the PICK UP LINE.... You know the same line that is basically wrapped around the soda and coffee fill stations that's completely causing a mess of people for no reason at all. How do you not have a dedicated person that literally stands there to hand out all the orders that are piling up while you have a line of people with their phones out ready to show their pick up order #. It could be one of the most unorganized processes for any "pick up" restaurant in town for sure. It's a complete mess with no leadership, management or hint of organization... gonna be very hard to go through that process again. read more

Decided to stop by to try a bagel for breakfast, and wow! Not only is this bagel spot not just about bagels, but they have so many options for meals - from breakfast to dinner! They do frozen meals for families and can do delivery. The staff is also very helpful and can answer any questions. I ordered a breakfast wrap with bacon and pepper jack cheese and my husband got the everything bagel with scallion cream cheese. The wrap came out steaming, and stayed hot throughout the meal. They did a great job wrapping the ingredients within the tortilla, so every bite was the perfect ratio of eggs, bacon and cheese. My husband thought the cream cheese was really good - it was lightly whipped and creamy, not heavy/dense. The bagel was also light and fluffy on the inside. They also have plentiful seating, indoors and outdoors! So this is a great spot to grab lunch and sit outside on a nice day! 9/10 - huge fan! We now have a go-to bagel spot! I'm definitely coming back to try those strawberry shortcake cups and cakes :p read more

When my husband opened the take home bag I saw a misshapen bagel which could not be sliced into top and bottom halves without falling apart. Too much dough on one side and not enough on the other. I tried, but it was not possible to make a sandwich. I returned to the store, showed the bagel, and requested a replacement. Left the store with a new bagel which looked fine. But, when I tried to cut it at home it was rock hard and could not be pried apart without power tools. Thumbs down. This place suffers from poor quality control. Will not return. read more

This place gets packed because it is one of the only decent bagel places in town. It reminds me a lot of the Italian bakeries/bagel shops you find in the New York/New Jersey areas. I typically come here for their Italian style desserts and get a dozen bagels (they have the yellow egg bagels!) but they also have breakfast sandwiches available. People do sit down and eat here but it is a busy and loud atmosphere. Parking can be tight, there is parking in the front and back of the store. read more

Six of us stopped in for a Sunday morning breakfast around 930 am or so. The place was still fairly busy. There was parking in the front and the back. You ordered up at the counter and they called your name out when done. I had a bacon, cheese and egg on an everything bagel. It was very good. The ordering process/flow is a little confusing. There were several people waiting at the counter area for their order and so people coming in didnt know where to go to order, was there a line, etc. I was only there a few min and 3 different people asked if I was in line to order... Just think that if that was fixed, the customer flow would be better. But overall, good bagels and will definitely get more next time we are in the area. read more

Was so excited to try this place out and sadly was let down. I expected it to be busy on a Saturday but wasn't expecting all the issues to follow. I ordered a very simple bagel - everything toasted with pastrami and cream cheese. That's it! After ordering, I realized I had been waiting a really long time for my simple order. Well the lady who was running two registers at the front completely butchered my name so they were calling Skay versus Skye...:I even spelled it for her. My husband and myself visit frequently for their breakfast bagel sandwiches and breakfast bowls. We decided to give their sandwiches a try for lunch. I got the Rueben with fries ( the good fries, IYKYK) pictured here. My husband got the Italian. Both were excellent! Toasted bread on both which, imo, made them better than just soft bread. It was busy when we went at lunchtime but our food came out pretty quickly and hot. Always ride past the location as it is conveniently located on 55. It has also been recommended many times by the local Fuquay-Varina and holly springs residents. The staff was friendly. There is a surprising amount of seating inside and great area to grab drinks, coffee, etc. They have lots of options to grab and go like loaves of bread, cakes, and pre-made meals like lasagna and Alfredo. They offer breakfast and lunch all day! They have so much on display from bagels, cookies, cakes, and soooo much more. Grab the giant chocolate chip cookies to to-go for the kids. I tried the breakfast bowl and it was pack!! The meats were ham, sausage, and bacon. It also had onions, green pepper, eggs, cheese and potatoes. Worth all the calories and I could not eat it all in one seating. Also have the Philly cheese steak that came with fries and it is huge! Fries are so good. Crispy and hot! It has cheese, onions, and green pepper. Wish it had mushrooms but it is still good. Need a but more seasoning for my taste but it's not salty!!! The cheesecake is everything for me!!! Great quick and easy breakfast! I'm a big fan of this place. I've been twice, both times I ordered a bagel with salmon and egg whites. When they customized it for me the first time and it turned out that good, I had a new breakfast spot for whenever I come to town. The first time I went with a basic wheat bagel (pictured), but later tried their "everything egg bagel" which was dynamite! I've been with coworkers who did bagels and cream cheese or other breakfast sandwiches and everyone enjoyed their food! I haven't tried any of their desserts, but there are cases of them that look amazing. Maybe next time :) read more

The black and white cookies were dry. I am guessing they were a couple of days old. If you live near this place you are lucky. The staff here thought it was okay to put our sandwiches on a dirty / gross tray that had crumbs and residue from last guests. How did they pass health inspection? Tables inside were not cleaned off between guests sitting there. We did not observe any cleaning of surfaces in dining area at all. Things like this stand out in our Covid world. We have been buying great eclairs from this restaurant for years. Unfortunately this year when we bought six eclairs out of the refrigerated section we found that half of them were moldy. I've gone there three times and I think I've always got a bagel with cream cheese. The bagels are excellent and the homemade cream cheese is as well. I'd give them a five except that they are slow to get your order out. Each time I've been there it's taken 10 minutes to get a bagel with cream cheese. And costs over five dollars which is a little excessive. Panera bagels with cream cheese are under four. However, at least bluegrass spreads the cream cheese which is helpful when I'm on the road. While I was waiting this morning the staff got two orders wrong. Suppose it could have been the customers fault. read more

We love NYC style delis and bagel shops. The bagels here are great! The Italian sub is good quality & the French Fries are crispy. The cannoli was good & they fill them upon ordering. They also have a lot of food to go that's prepared (eg, spaghetti, other pastas, soups) & a variety of cream cheeses & desserts. The only thing we would change is the ordering system - you have to order ahead at one end of the counter before you can select your bagels or desserts which made it harder to order. It would have been easier to just order at the case & pay after. Otherwise, really like this spot! read more

Last time I came in I ordered a ready made frozen dinner and it was absolutely terrible. Soggy mushy pasta with bad flavor. It cost $40! Extremely overpriced for what I got. Against my better judgment I went back to grab a bagel. They're so understaffed it's chaos in there. I waited in line for 20 min. When I finally get to the front the employee says she'll take who's next. Then she walked away and starts working on food orders. I stood at her register while others checked out at other register. I asked her if she's still open, she says yeah just wait. So I wait while still others go through other register and she continues to make food. I finally gave up and left.
