    Poppy seed bagel
    Douglas S.

The bagels themselves weren't that bad, but where are all the toppings. Super skimpy on the cream cheese. The plain bagel had barely any scallion cream cheese on it. Maybe the thinest layer I've ever seen. Really disappointed to come home, open the wrapper and see this. The poppy seed bagel and it had like 20 poppy seeds total. Where did the rest of them go? It's basically a plain bagel. Will not be coming back if this cost $8 for basically 2 plain bagels.

Everything bagel with cream cheese and cucumber
    Chris K.

Good bagels and service. I enjoyed my everything bagel with cream cheese and cucumber, there was a good cream cheese to bagel ratio. My friends bagel was lacking on the cream cheese. The bagels were tasty but could have been toasted a bit longer. The dining area was clean and it was easy to find parking.

ow do i take my coffee seriously seriously?

Nice staff, plenty of room to sit and work if needed, and they make a nice London Fog Earl Grey Latte, but I am sorry to say the bagels were dry and disappointing. My first clue should've been when they were automatically going to toast the bagel. I should have let them. I did however think their lox spread which had fresh dill in it was delicious. I scraped it off and ate it with a spoon.

Egg and cheese on a Jalapeno bagel

Good variery of bagels, cream cheese, breakfast and lunch options. Opted for egg and cheese on a jalapeno bagel. Bagel was fresh and perfectly toasted - found it a bit difficult to say it was a jalapeno bagel, was expecting more flavor or kick from the jalapeno. Wide variety of coffee, espresso and tea options as well. Service was quick and friendly. Cash only.

Wonderful service, great coffee and bagels. This is a great spot. Twix coffee and a jalapeño bagel.

If you've ever been to a Pressed Cafe (yes, just one), you may be forgiven to assume they're all…read moremostly alike. This review is to tell you otherwise. Some are much larger (like this one). Some are drive-thru only (like the one near my house). I'm gonna talk about the former real quick. Naturally, the menu is basically the same. On this day, I was having lunch. Ergo, I opted to try the Chipotle Short Rib & Egg burrito (as a bowl because I'm a man of culture) accompanied with a cup of chowdah. I must say...I expected there to be a bit more flavor, what - with the Chipotle sauce n' all. Alas, I had to add my own salt. This is mostly a nitpick, but really...can we please season our beef? Just a lil bit even? So, the biggest difference you'll notice at this location is the parking situation. It's....annoying. Because on the one hand, you technically have ample amounts of spaces to park in. Or...you WOULD, if not for the signs en masse that read "[insert corporate company name here] parking only - all violators will be towed at owner's expense." I find this hilarious because I feel like that would be impossible to enforce for folks parking less than 10 minutes to pick up an order like I did. So, I guess my pro tip of the day would be: feel free to park wherever at your own risk if and ONLY if you're getting take-away. If you're actually dining in, I suppose you'll have to wait painstakingly for one of the few parking spots actually designated for Pressed specifically to open. By the way, if you're picking up a take-away order, the take-out shelf is smack dab next to their side entrance opposite the side where you would normally order your food. It's one of those "blink once and you'll miss it" type things the first time visiting. From my vantage point, this place stays quite busy. Not surprising, considering the Burlington area in general. Clearly, a lot of folks come here mid-work day which is also the only reason I came here to begin with. Overall, not a bad lunch stop, though the parking can be slightly obnoxious. I'm giving Pressed Cafe in Burlington 4 Chipotle Short Rib bowls dubiously seasoned out of 5.

The breakfast menu includes plenty of options with filling portions of breakfast staples including eggs, benedicts, omelettes, pancakes, french toast, waffles, or breakfast sandwiches. The menu also offers several sandwiches -- including grilled chicken, boneless fried chicken, chicken salad, steak and cheese -- which are available all day for those heathens who don't crave breakfast foods at every opportunity. I had the Javah Grindah sandwich ($8), comprised of two eggs (over medium at my request), breakfast meat (ham, bacon, or sausage), and a side of James River BBQ sauce on a fresh grinder roll. Unfortunately.. although the description on the menu doesn't mention cheese, my sandwich came out with two slices of white American cheese. I hate having to ask a restaurant to do this, but I had to send it back because lactose. Our server apologized for the misunderstanding and brought a replacement sandwich without cheese out straight away. The sandwich was really tasty with the BBQ sauce. My dining companion preferred something lighter and opted for the Skinny Girl Pick ($12), comprised of two eggs, fresh avocado, fresh fruit, and a few slices of wheat toast, which she really enjoyed. We will definitely be back next time we're in the area! PRO TIP: Make sure you let your server know of any food allergies or dietary restrictions, in case the chef decides to use ingredients not listed on the menu.
