Another great bagel place! They have every imaginable bagel flavor and cream cheese flavor (peanut butter? chocolate? really, at that point i'd probably go direct and skip the cream cheese delivery system :) I rented cars next door at Hertz, so I would stop here and get my standard bacon, egg and cheese on a roll with a large coffee. Sadness would ensue when I finished it before I even got on the highway. I can heartily recommend anything and everything they have here, they even do lunches and have a regular round of specials. If I could give this place 10 stars I would. Best bagels in CT. I am very loyal to this place, as I would say most of Plainville is. Bagels are DELICIOUS. Everything, and tomato basil are my favorite. I love the cream cheese flavors, garlic and herb is the best followed closely by the scallion. I also love the bacon egg and cheeses. This is one of the few hidden gems of Plainville! The bagels are so good and they have a large variety of cream cheeses. The cheddar bagels are my favorite! I'm not a big coffee drinker but their coffees (especially iced) are good a well. It's a nice, small, cheap quick bagel spot. Definitely worth the visit if you're in town. read more

I've been coming here for a while & the bagels are very good, however it's always so busy and each time I go I'm not sure if my bagel will be made right or not. My order is only made right 50% of the time and it's honestly not worth the wait. You have to order on the phone if you want to be in there for less than 15-20 mins. They either need to change to a bigger location with more room for the employees to work or have a bigger staff. read more

This place is pretty amazing. Stopped in to check it out as it has great reviews. Was a little crowded as it was late and a lot of the bagels were out. I had a blueberry one toasted with plain cream cheese and a medium coffee. Both were good but the bagel was one of the best I've had. All the girls behind the counter were all bubbly and a pleasure to deal with. Will be back to try some of the other bagels and maybe some flavored cream cheese. read more

I have been coming here since 1999. It's very popular and always a busy place. The bagels are always fresh. They cook to order. No microwaved eggs at this place. Service is fast and the food is fresh. They also have sandwiches, salads, soups and similar items. I love their bagels so much I pretty much stick with them. Ham, egg and cheese or one of the many flavored cream cheese choices with a toasted bagel. My only wish is that they had longer hours but as a breakfast and lunch place that isn't feasible. To me, bagels are an anytime event. Yum. read more

This was my first time here, not even knowing it was here... Didn't have a bagel but everyone was very pleased in my group and seeing that it was packed, I see that it's worth it. Some of the most delicious and least expensive breakfast sandwiches in the area. The bagels are perfectly sized, not too big, not too small and everything is scratch made. Ask for any of the deli ingredients on your sandwich (grilled onions and roasted red peppers are a favorite of mine). I thought I had to leave New Britain to get a lox bagel. Turns out, I just had to drive down the street. The place is across the street from the old Blockbuster, where I used to go to every day during vacation as a kid, and I can't believe I only found out about this place. They have the regular lox option as well as the cream cheese lox which I'm definitely going to try next time. There was also scallion cream cheese, capers, the works. I am so happy. They say that they are open until 1:00. However if you want anything that is grilled, they shut the grill down at 12:00. Last time it was 12:30. So disappointing. But they will throw everything in the microwave for you. Tastes like crap when they do that. Also have gotten my order messed up more than once. Good bagels is the only reason I'm not giving one star. If you go here after 12:00 they are just trying to get off of their shift as fast as possible. I came here last week to try their bagels and I am glad I did. I got six bagels one rye and five whole wheat, I liked the whole wheat bagels I thought they were better than the ones at Fancy Bagel in Southington. So I come here weekly and the bagels are really good. I always order a flavored coffee which sounds really good but am consistently disappointed with quality. Lacking flavor and sometimes even bitter tasting which makes me want to go to Dunkin Donuts. Might be time to switch to a different coffee distributor (Green Mountain) and clean or trash the coffee makers. First let me say I have been coming here 2-3x a week for years. I love the food here. I have never had a problem with the food. However, there is one gal on the waitstaff that has had me contemplating never coming back. I have had the same order as long as I have been going there. This gal gets it wrong, or over charges me, at least 7 out of 10 times. Any time I order a jalapeno bagel with plain cc, I end up with jalapeno cc on jalapeno cc, a very different outcome on the palate, and ultimately feeds my trash can. I don't do reviews, as you can see from my profile, but enough is enough. This one has been brewing for a while. Today was the proverbial straw. I was next in line and she asked to take my order because the one she was working on was almost done. Against every instinct I had, I agreed. Well, the next 3 customer orders were taken while mine died on the counter next to the one that was "almost done." This gal makes me want to lie to her when she asks if I am ready to order. I want to say no, so that she will move on. But I can't do it to the next guy. At the end of the day, I realize this isn't a major crisis in anyone's life, and that's why I have stayed quiet. But if management happens to read this, you really need to address this gal. She is not helping your business and I would argue is likely hurting it. I don't know her name, but I bet you already do. If you haven't figured out who I refer to, she can likely be seen wearing shorts and tie-dye and her best years are long behind her. I can't be the only one getting this type of service from this individual. I'm trying not to be mean, but her appearance and demeanor is not good at all. She brings the place down 2 stars in my opinion and I am one bad order away from never returning. I will finish by saying I never have issues with any of the other staff and the place would be a home run without her. read more
