A Jacksonville Beach staple has expanded into St Johns - Beachwalk! Known for delicious NY style bagels (kettle, boil, bake method) and tons of mixed spread options - it's highly recommended you get her early before they sell out of your favorite variety - you can also order online through Local by toast app / google - search "bagels R us #5"

We were in the front and it was hard to hear the excellent music. There is also outside dining for when the weather is nice. Our server was MJ. She was very helpful in making our selection. She was efficient, and very attentive. I ordered the corned beef hash with home fried potatoes and everything was cooked just as I requested. My cranberry mimosa was excellent as well. Coffee was good and stayed full and hot. My husband had the ham steak with eggs and toast. The orange juice tasted like it was fresh-squeeze, full of delicious pulp. Both dishes were massive portions and we will be having Grumpy's again tomorrow! Excellent choice for breakfast. Lunch at other tables looked great, too.

This location has the Grumpy's name but does not have the Grumpy's taste and it RUINED my mother-daughter outing. Walking into the restaurant it has that welcome back feeling of being inside in a Grumpy's spot. The decor is modern farmhouse. The lollipop bouquet is the cutest and WARMEST invite into this spot. As all Grumpy's, the menu is full of American classics. My daughter and I had a short-stack. I couldn't resist adding the Roasted Turkey plate. My drink choice was hot chocolate. I knew something was OFF when I received the hot chocolate..."where's the chocolate drizzle? why does it taste like it's water based?" The waiter let me know it's the waiters choice on how it is served. *INSERT EYE ROLL* When the meal came it was easy to see the Turkey plate was MISSING items and looked like it had been sitting (I mean sitting gravy has look of non-movement). The waiter tried to COMFORT me by saying it was under a warm plate but after I questioned where were the cranberries and stuffing...she then responded with an OH! The Kitchen manager offered to bring out a different dish. Now for the pancake, at FIRST BITE my daughter says "I taste the batter" *insert the disappointed DEEP SIGH* The owner asked if he could remake our meals. Truthfully, this was the THIRD complaint so it was a big NO THANK YOU! He then offered to comp the hot chocolate and one of the meals. I boxed the turkey dinner just to get home and it to have the taste of excessive old oil. :-( smh! Not only did it make for an UNENJOYABLE outing with my daughter. It also made my hype about Grumpy's being the best place for brunch a complete LIE. I give them 1-star for being Grumpy's and 1-star for attempting to RESOLVE. This location needs to get host training, hospitality reenforcement, and a kitchen with care because BAE-BEEEE it's a miss me wit'it For spot the difference in my added pictures Image 1 (before) and Image 2 (after): * Dinner roll added Image 2 * Cranberry sauce added Image 2 * Bread Stuffing side item added Image 2 * Mash Potato on plate Image 1 * Mash Potatoin bowl Image 2 * Plate looks fuller Image 2

I had French toast (just the regular but the cinnamon roll French toast looked really tempting). It was just slightly crispy around the edges and I love that. So often I will get French toast that's a little too mushy. This was great. I also had a side of bacon. Also crispy! I was pretty stuffed but I did also take a bite of my hash brown. It was delicious too and if I had more space I would have eaten it all. The coffee was great diner/cafe coffee. And if you enjoy that type, you'll know exactly what I mean. I drank it black and they also gave me a cup to go! We did have to wait a couple minutes for a table but not long at all. They turn over tables pretty quickly! Our server was wonderful and really on the ball. Our food came out pretty quickly too, in spite of them being quite busy. It was a little loud in there but not so much we couldn't hear each other. I do like that they have counter seating as an option! We needed a table this round to spread out coloring materials lol. But the counter looks like a nice place to sit too. Might have to go back to try the cinnamon roll French toast and a coffee next time!

It is a new place as everything is in St. John's. Clean and well-lighted. My only real gripe was that I ordered a 3-egg breakfast platter and the amount of scrambled eggs was 1.5 at best. Certainly not three. I did not bring it to my server's attention. But the server should be checking this sort of thing before he leaves for the table. Pet peeve of many breakfast restaurants in N.E. The other part of the group also drank their life away, and because of this you always need to go to a diner the next day. It was a pleasant afternoon.. the birds were chirping, the sky was partly cloudy, and the wind felt cool. The group stumbled on Metro Diner which looked very appealing! We were told by a couple nice people that it was only a 15 minute wait which was perfectly fine so we went to Publix and bought a couple things. When we came back we were seated outside with a friendly waiter who got us going right away. The ogre kept saying how she wanted fried chicken and waffles, but then got nervous because it was 2000 calories.. like what? "You're on vacation just get the chicken and waffles." She was already overweight anyways so why not add more fuel to the fire. Anyways onto what we got! Me: egg scramble bowl with avocado and bacon. And oatmeal with fruit My good Buddy Bezos: burger bowl Doctor Bs wife: avocado egg sandwich thing Tragic: your classic eggs, toast, sausage, homefried The heaviest girl ever: Belgian waffle and some fruit? Okay pause.. how do you go from I WANT CHICKEN AND WAFFLES to mmm I'll have a waffle and some fruit! Okay anyways onto the reviews of the food itself! Doctor Bs wife: Really good Tragic: Mid Ogre: My eggs tasted like the were sitting out a while, the waffle wasn't hot but still good and I wish it was warmer and the butter was hard and cold My good buddy bezos: actually he was in the shower so I didn't get his review, but I know he liked it, that burger bowl actually looked good. Me: Yeah I mean I am a sucker for scrambled bowl with hollandaise sauce, I definitely have had way better, but the taste was there. I would like to add that I basically finished my entire meal before tragic or the wife got theirs. It will be shown in the photos below. I tried to be polite and wait, but after 5 minutes without their food showing up I had to eat I was starving. It's kind of crazy to me that me ogre and my good buddy bezos were first. I would think that the classic plate of tragics would be easy, as well as the sandwich because it's just the same stuff in my bowl just between bread somewhat. I enjoyed the ambiance and the feel of the place for sure. The music that was playing was also enjoyable, so initially I was at a three but because of those factors along with the fact that I did somewhat like my food more than the others (which is rare) and don't feel terrible after that's why we stand at a four. I would like to clarify every place has its own rating system. Like you cannot compare a fancy restaurant to a diner although they are still deemed a 4 on my page. Sorry anyways, the prices were also really reasonable and we had a good time. Maybe next year when we are back around here we will come back! It was good!

The overall vibes were casual in a nice way -- nothing too aggressively themed, just a good and bright breakfast spot. Our server, Bonnie, was friendly and helpful. I ended up ordering a hodge podge of breakfast items: eggs over medium, hash browns, cheese grits, a waffle, and a blueberry muffin split and grilled. My mom got an egg sandwich with grits and vegetarian sausage (yay!). Our food came pretty quickly, and I hoovered up everything on my plate. Everything tasted the way you'd expect: just good breakfast food. The hash browns had a crisp top, which is vital for me. The malted waffle stood out the most; I could smell it the second our server walked out of the kitchen with it and I ate the whole thing, even though I frequently split a waffle and take half home for later. The muffin was good, but a special shoutout for the option to have it split, buttered, and lightly grilled. I immediately requested my mom start trying that with her own blueberry muffins next time I'm over. It's a little pricey, but what isn't these days? It sure hit the spot.

We stopped here, at this location, late one night with some friends and it was so nice to find a place that served food and drinks later in the evening. Now, this location has a slightly different menu than the one in Savannah but still has a few of their popular dishes such as the Treylor Park Nachos Grande, Cheesesteak Egg Rolls, PB&J Wings, and Treylor Park Pot Pie! I always order the Treylor Park Nachos... it's a massive tray of waffle fries plus a healthy amount of toppings such as pickles, fried chicken, bacon, cheddar cheese with chive ranch & balsamic gastrique. I mean it's a meal of WAFFLE FRIES with enough for myself, to share, and leftovers for when I get home from the drive there! LOL! The Treylor Park Pot Pie is really good too. It's basically chicken pot pie filling in a fried burrito with some pico de gallo on top. My friends ordered the Fried Green Tomatoes... which she loved and was a first for me. Verdict: I liked them.
