We actually really enjoyed our visit to Bahama Breeze. I've been a number of times over the years. The location near me has been around my entire life. We came on a date night because it was the only place without an hour+ wait time tonight. I was pleasantly surprised by how much I liked the food. For an appetizer, we got the beef empanadas. They were filled with seasoned meat and potatoes and came with a pineapple dipping sauce and herbed sour cream. The potion size was nice and the flavor was actually great. For an entree, I got the jerk shrimp in a pineapple bowl with white rice and peppers. The pineapple bowl was cool. There was plenty of shrimp and the flavor was nice. Sweet and savory. Obviously when you come to a chain restaurant, you don't expect to be blown away, but I was pleasantly surprised with how nicely everything came out. We were seated immediately and our waitress was on top of everything which made it all the better. Definitely a solid choice for a chill dinner out. read more

This location is right outside of the Altamonte Mall, in their parking lot. There's plenty of parking spaces, however do keep in mind that this location gets really busy so you might have to park a little bit away. You can always try to make a reservation or do a call ahead if you prefer not to have to wait for too long. We were lucky and hit them at a good break time and were able to get seated right away. They're doing their rumtoberfest which is part of October with rum samples and rum special drinks. Our server was incredibly nice and very good at keeping up with everything. His name was Justin so if you want to have him for your server definitely ask for him by name or for his section. I had to seafood paella which is always my go-to meal at this restaurant. It's extremely delicious and, if you're not allergic to shellfish, definitely something you should give a try. The husband had the jerk chicken pasta whhich he said was very good. He did say it's a little heavy on the pepper side so just a heads up there if you're not a huge fan of pepper. I had the One Love drink, highly recommend, super refreshing! They do have some fun rum flights if you wanna try a few, or a lot, of drinks! The chocolate island dessert is a must!! My daughter and I recently had the pleasure of dining at Bahama Breeze in Altamonte, Florida, and it was a fantastic experience from start to finish. Ace, our server, was simply wonderful and a lot of fun. He was so attentive and never missed a beat, making us feel completely at home. The food was outstanding--every dish was tasty, but the Beef Empanadas, Baby Back Ribs, and Skirt Steak Churrasco topped with chimichurri were all fantastic. The yellow rice, black beans, and sweet plantains that accompanied the meal were equally delicious. Everyone should definitely try these dishes! The background music made the experience even better. Our favorite singer, Sade, was playing while we enjoyed our meal, adding a lovely ambiance to the experience. We were so impressed with the service and the food that we asked to speak with the manager, Shantelle, just to let her know how incredible Ace was and how wonderfully AWESOME the cooks did with every meal. It's great if you like salmon and shrimp like he does. I don't like either and I can't eat beef. There are a few chicken options but it's mostly shrimp, salmon and beef. I wish they had the standard chicken tenders like they used to. The place is very clean with nice decor. Seating and tables are good. The lighting is just right. Dimmed lighting but bright enough to read the menu. I do enjoy the place. I just have a hard time finding anything I can eat since they changed their menu a couple years ago. We didn't have high hopes as most chain restaurants carry the same menu/staff training but we were in for a surprise. Say at the bar here and had an enjoyable meal. Service was good from the bartender, and food was pretty tasty. Started with some empanadas, which arrived very quickly and piping hot. Came with a sour cream sauce and a chutney for dipping, but the filling was super flavorful, so you really don't need to dip it. But of course I did anyway. Then I sat and waited for my entree. And waited. And waited. Finally the Paella arrived. It had sausage, shrimp, bay scallops, mussels, and fish. The fish pieces were a little fishy for my taste, but the rest was very good and flavorful rice made every bite delicious. Ended the meal with the Key Lime Pie, which was also good. We got the frozen bahamarita and it makes you feel like you're in Hawaii and it's literally the best drink for your buck. For appetizers we got the lobster and shrimp quesadilla, skillet simmered jerk shrimp, key west nachos, and sesame crusted ahi. I would go back and back for the lobster and shrimp quesadilla because it's a literally bomb. Would recommend the king carnival and the ultimate pina colada for drinks, they were amazing! The yuca fried cheese was a delicious starter. I wanted to have a very nice lunch at Bahama Breeze. I called the one in Altamonte Springs to see how busy they would be. The person that answered the phone clearly explained that there was no wait for lunch, but she could put my name on call ahead seating if I would like. I opted not to and just went to have lunch. The hostess pointed out the beverage book and mentioned the day's fresh market catch. The menus and beverage book were clean and in good condition. The interior of the restaurant was very clean. The chairs and floor were clean. The salt and pepper shakers were clean. The silverware was clean. The tables were clean. The temperature of the restaurant was comfortable. I could hear the words to the music playing, without having to speak in a loud voice over the music. The ladies' restroom was clean, well stocked, and odor free. The ledges were clean and dust free. All interior lights were working without any outages. The interior lighting was at a comfortable level for the time of day. The server greeted us promptly after we were seated. The server's uniform was neat and clean in appearance. The sever pointed out the beverage book. She asked if we wanted any appetizers. We ordered the Skillet Jerk Shrimp. The server was knowledgeable concerning the menu. We ordered the Salmon Tostada and Curry Goat Bowl. When the entrees were delivered, they were correctly placed in front of each guest without having to ask the guests who ordered what. The server named each item being served to the guest. The server was there at all times when we needed them. The server suggested dessert and we ordered the Coconut Grande. Dirty plats were promptly removed when we finished our meal. Wanna feel like you're back on the island or want that tropical feel, this is the place to be! We heard about this place from my hubby's co-worker. This is our last dinner meal in Florida. We came late and found out they have happy hour prices after 9p till midnight so we can only rate based on that. We actually didn't want to eat a lot but it was a good deal. There are no chain restaurants in our area and closest to us is in Las Vegas. They have many locations here on the east coast so find one that is closest to you. We came and we're surprised by how big this restaurant was inside and out. Decor is like you're on the island. Great decor and welcoming. They have outdoor seating with roof covering and plastic cover shields in case it rains or is windy. There is also an outdoor bar. I am sure this place fills up during the summer or warm days. The dining area inside was big, too. The bar area was small so we had to wait a tiny bit for a seat to open up. Shauna our server was great as well as the other staff!! Very friendly and accommodating. We ordered their ultimate pina colada; very good with lots of fruit but not too strong on the liquor. This was part of their HH menu. My hubby also got a zombie drink. Now, that is some strong stuff!! This was unfortunately not part of the happy hour drinks for discount. We ordered four of their appetizers: Spinach dip - a tiny bit salty but good and cheesy with the plain big chips Jerk Jamaican chicken - very good. Love the flavors Crusted Ahi tuna - this was ok but it lacked the sauce so I asked for more and it taste so much better. After some after-work Black Friday shopping, my boyfriend and I decided to eat dinner at Bahama Breeze. It was a less than stellar experience. This particular Bahama Breeze (chain restaurant) is located in the same parking lot as the Altamonte Mall and is also neighbors with an Ale House and Seasons 52 restaurant, so they're definitely not the only food choice available. As we were pretty hungry (boardering on hangry myself), we ordered the chicken jabaritos for an appetizer. These three chicken sliders (with flattened and fried plantains -tostones - sandwiching the breaded fried chicken instead of a bun) were my favorite part of the meal. However, I had to add a lot of salt to the flavorless tostones and my boyfriend didn't like the dish at all. For my entree, I ordered the jerk chicken pasta. The serving was plentiful, but again, I found myself needing to add salt and a few of the mushrooms were under cooked. My boyfriend ordered skirt steak to be cooked medium plus. Although his plate and utensils were hot to the touch, the steak was cold and rare in the middle. The server and manager profusely apologized and provided my boyfriend with another (albeit much smaller) steak cooked as ordered and also gave him a Cesar salad to munch on while he waited for said replacement steak. So kudos for handling the steak situation but the overall quality of the food was average. read more

This is great place for a quick lunch, the food is always good and there lunch menu has of option and has reasonable prices. I ordered a chicken quesadilla and it was good. Bahama breeze may not be a Mexican restaurant but their quesadilla was on point. My coworker ordered the fish tacos and I was able to try one. I'm usually not a fan of fish but I have to say, the fish taco converted me. It was very tasty. For dessert we decided to try the Dulce de le he cheesecake and it was very good. It was bit too sweet in my opinion but my coworker loved it. The service was OK. While our server brought our drinks really fast, she seemed to get flustered with our orders. The reason I ended getting the quesadilla is because she would get confused when we asked about the different options for lunch. So to keep it simple and to make sure we got our orders right we ordered tacos and a quesadilla. I have a hard time with places not following the rules . When we were arriving for a 5:30 dinner we noticed there was a sign on the door saying masks were required . There were several people walking around without one . When we called prior to arriving we were told we can't reserve outside . Good to know - they didn't offer this to me and my mom even though she mentioned she was starving, we just overheard them offer bar seating to others. Their frozen drinks are tasty, and the hummus works well if anyone in your party is to that "hangry" point. It comes with veggies and chips, and I've heard you can ask for more to go with the hummus if you run out. For my entree this time, I got the grilled chicken with mashed sweet potatoes and green beans (subbed for the broccoli), and I do have to say that the chicken was amazing.
