Fun Caribbean vibe. The restaurant is aestheticly pleasing. Food has always been very good. They have a lot of options, but I wouldn't say this is the best choice for picky eaters who are more fond of less flavor and textures. Never had a problem with service. Have had to make reservations at times due to how busy they get.

First time coming my co-worker recommended it and I went with my sister in a Tuesday night around 7pm. Place was not busy at all so we were seated right away. The place was very themed and I loved the ambiance. We started with the crab 3 cheese dip upon tasting was absolutely delicious but we only got 1-2 bites in before we found a hair, we decided to not continue to eat it and to tell our waitress which was super nice and apologetic and took it off our bill. By that time our meals were out; my chicken sandwich was so crunchy and flavorful one of the best I've had and I am very picky about my chicken but I honestly can not complain the aioli on it was so good. My sister got the Jerk chicken pasta which is what I was decided between as well but ordered mine instead. The pasta was also absolutely delicious so despite the little mishap still overall really tasty and nice!

I'm so late posting this review & I just found out that this location closed :( I'm so bummed because the food was amazing, especially the coconut fried shrimp. My gluten free/vegan relatives also enjoyed eating here. I'm shocked that they closed because it was always pretty steady in there too. Too bad, I hope they reopen another location in the macomb area soon. Livonia is the only location left in the metro detroit area & that's way too far for me.

Located in Detroit Michigan this fits the bill for a great time and meal. The Beef Empanadas are great for and appetizer and filling. The Pineapple Shrimp Is absolutely a must if you want a tropical dish and healthy. The Jamaican Jerk Chicken had a unique flavor but since it was called Jamaican chicken it came with great expectations that did not quite reach the mark. Overall, a great place to eat and take your Family. The employees all looked engaged in their work. We had a super waitress that was phenomenal. Unfortunately, I forgot her name but I know that she has worked at the restaurant for eight years and trains the other waiters/waitresses. Had a great conversation with manager Edy that took time to find out how our experience was going. I would highly recommend this restaurant if you are in Troy Michigan. You will not regret it.

Seriously they need to taste their own food, this dish is pure salt, thanks for cooking for me but this chef is successfully ruined my dish! : (

Food, service and ambiance were all good. I like to get the jerk wings (cooked extra well) for the appetizer. I find myself always ordering the same thing when I come here. It has been years since I've been and I still only find the jerk chicken pasta to order. It's a classic. Never disappoints. I found the three cheese crab dip very fishy for some reason. I did not enjoy that.

I definitely liked the ambiance though I thought the music was a little loud for my liking. I went for a quick lunch with a couple ladies from work. We all really really wanted to try some of their fancy beverages, but did not because we still had to go back to work. Two of us ordered the tropical chicken salad and the other ordered a half order of the jerk chicken pasta. I really liked the tropical chicken salad with grapes, pineapple and the sweet vinaigrette dressing. I didn't like the goat cheese, I'm not a fan, and would've preferred a cheese that can be sprinkled throughout, maybe feta. All in all everyone enjoyed their lunch and plan on returning one day after work for some drinks!

Service and food has never been bad here! I usually get the jerk chicken pasta but wanted to switch it up today and tried the salmon tostada salad, and I'm glad I did! The tostadas are just crispy flour tortillas with cheese, so nothing really special, but the salmon was very delicious and the avocado was a great touch to the salad. Interior feels like a tropical vacation with palm trees and little cabana sections of the restaurant.

Spring break 2021 staycation dinner. It's like a vacation restaurant here. I love the decor and theme of this place. Came here for dinner after church on a Saturday at 7:30, we had reservations. They had a sign on the door that said reservations only. They sat us in the front room with the firepit in front of the patio bar area. This is like an octagonal room, and it echos in there so bad, it was super loud and there was 4 tables. Sadly this doesn't have the Caribbean ambience or decor like the main dining room, I don't recommend sitting here. We had tostones appetizer; my favorite thing on the menu. They are essentially chicken nachos served on fried plantains instead of chips. Lots of toppings, but many chips. The food was not bad, but the mahi tacos were too spicy for me. Maybe this place has spicy food, guess thats what they have in the Caribbean. Our waiter was a trip and out of this world, very flamboyant. He was funny. I'll be back, for the tostones, but only during happy hour for half price, M-F, 3-6.

I love going to Bahama Breeze, and while we were in Michigan decided to visit this location. The decor is fun and the restaurant definitely has a Caribbean beach vibe! I LOVE their happy hour, it's the best. Sad part is that it ends at 6pm. The drinks are always on point love the ultimate piña colada & the coconut shrimp are my favorite. Our server was phenomenal and so attentive of us. Thank you Lily K for being amazing. Restaurants need more servers like you.

Drink flight: Bahama mama, rumrunner, painkiller in reverse order

I won't bore you with a lot of details. Everybody's been to Bahama Breeze so we know the play. The rum flight is the reason to go. We went on a Saturday night and the wait wasn't bad. I had the jerk shrimp pineapple bowl which was very delicious. My guest had the grilled chicken with cilantro crema. It is served with a slightly sweet glaze and melts in your mouth. Appetizer was crab and three cheese dip but we had them bring some celery. The main rum flight has three cocktails: Bahama Mama, Painkiller and the Rumrunner. Painkiller is delicious. Key lime pie for dessert. Restaurant is fresh, clean, well lit, comfortable, the corner booths are cozy. Restrooms are upstairs. In town for a business trip and I decided to just stop by. It took a while for the waiter to just come by to offer a beverage. Food took forever as well. They were not very crowded and the food was ok

I felt like she was over the top with the "Is everything tasting delicious this evening?" and other such comments. It almost seemed like she walked off a stage to be the server. But, her service was good, and she was very polite, waiting until people stopped talking before she started telling us whatever she needed to say. The young man who refilled the water and bread (I didn't catch his name) was also very efficient without being obtrusive. Overall, I did enjoy it, and I certainly liked the atmosphere. I ordered the BBQ Chicken Salad. The avocado was rock hard, the chicken tasted off, and there were visibly rotted pieces of lettuce mixed into the salad. I let our server know, and she agreed it "didn't look normal." She took it back and asked what I'd like instead. I ordered the Chicken Giardiniera. It didn't arrive until the rest of my party had already finished eating. I've had this dish here before, and this version wasn't anywhere near the quality I remembered. The server even brought me a to-go box without asking because, at that point, everyone else was done and ready to leave. When the bill came, the salad was removed, but I was charged full price for the replacement entrée--even though it was served so late that I barely had a chance to eat it. What was most disappointing wasn't the food itself, but how the situation was handled. There was no apology, no manager stopped by, and no effort to make things right. For the prices Cooper's Hawk charges, I'd expect much better food quality and customer service. Very disappointing experience, and after seeing the quality decline over multiple visits, I won't be returning.

Later that evening, I stepped outside at approximately 9:32 PM. When I attempted to return inside around 9:35 PM, I was unable to get back into the restaurant. I remained outside until approximately 9:42 PM trying to get someone's attention. The restaurant had been closed for approximately 40 minutes at that point, but seven people from our party were still inside. I completely understand that restaurants close and employees need to leave. That isn't my complaint. My concern is that I was a member of a party that was still inside the restaurant, and there was no reasonable communication or assistance when I attempted to return. What really made this experience worse, however, was what happened afterward. Rather than immediately leaving a negative review, I contacted Stoney River directly through the website and submitted a formal complaint. I gave management the opportunity to hear what happened, provide an explanation, and hopefully make the situation right. No one ever responded. No phone call. No email. No acknowledgment. Nothing. That is incredibly disappointing, especially considering this was a large party of 15 people who had made a reservation and spent their money at the establishment. Customer service isn't just about how you're treated when everything goes perfectly. It's also about how a business responds when a customer has a legitimate concern. I was willing to give Stoney River the benefit of the doubt and allow management to address the situation privately. They chose not to. So here we are. The original incident was disappointing. Being completely ignored after formally bringing it to management's attention is what earned this review. I hope Stoney River takes customer complaints more seriously in the future.

Then, for more waiting! And I waited and waited and waiting! They brought my lobster bisque! I tell you! They just do not know how to make a lobster bisque in Birmingham thus far! Not up to par. It was orange and not a bit of lobster in it! Nor the smell of lobster was nowhere near it! I don't know what these restaurants think lobster bisque is. Did not even return to remove my bowl or replenish my water! Never saw them again! Then, I waited another long time until they brought out my main course which was pathetic and the sauce with it was so salty that I couldn't even use it so I did sprinkle some lemon on the fish and try to eat it. The best thing about the meal was the green beans! I ate part of the fish, but it was more or less tasteless! Not one time did my server come to check on me to see if everything was OK and as she was bringing me my check, she poured me some more water, that was really good. The only time she checked on me! The water. Did I tip her? Hummm NO! Oh no oh no! I'm a very good tipper for good service! What could improve? Everything!

I returned to this location because of family wishing to eat here. The restaurant seriously…read moreredeemed themselves this visit. From our server Quinn to the amazingly prepared and fresh tasting food, it was back to what I originally thought of this chain. It was a Monday night so it was not busy and there were 7 of us so we were seated right away. Our food arrived very quickly after we ordered and looked amazing. I love that they offer seasonal menus so you are almost always going to find something new on the menu. Additionally, the summer menu is all under 600 calories. That's a bonus! I ordered the Grilled Corn Flatbread, hubby had the Avocado Toast, and my niece got the Filet Mignon. I didn't take a pic of every person's orders - just those flanking me. The Flatbread was excellent - it had cheese and spiced bacon as well as sour cream so the taste combination was excellent. Hubby said his Avocado Toast was the best he had ever had. I had a taste and it was very good. My niece said her Filet was perfectly cooked and not dry or tough. I'll be back again - thank you, Quinn, for how personable and helpful you were to our family.

The 9 oz wine pours were decently priced. Loved that they have a dessert tray to show you all their options. Our server was great, and my father in law couldn't stop talking about how we could talk to each other because although the place was full, it wasn't loud. Will definitely be back.
