Cool spot for refreshing summer dessert :) I like shaved ice and I like how Bahama Buck's has so many flavors including sugar free syrups, and toppings. And was surprised to see that this location even has a drive through. Got to try strawberry cheesecake flavor with condensed milk, it was good! But I think I'm going to stick to something fruity next time!

First time trying this place and I was amazed at the variety of flavors and topping. The portion sizing is pretty big this was a size small and I should have got a size smaller. Lots of flavor and juice, best shave ice in arizona I would say

I grew up in Hawaii where shave ice is a big deal, and Bahama Bucks is the only place I've found in Arizona that truly replicates my experience with the treat back home. The ice is so soft and shaved so finely that it melts in your mouth. The condensed milk topping is an absolute must try and if you're in for an extra treat ask for ice cream at the bottom of your cup. I truly feel like I teleport back home for a second each time I enjoy a treat from Bahama Bucks. My favorite flavors are vanilla and coconut although they have what feels like an endless list of flavors, everything from creamy to fruit to sour to sugar-free, so there's truly something for everyone!

Best place to bring anyone on a hot summer day! Great prices and fabulous place to bring your kids and get creative with flavors. Personally I would suggest getting their tropical flavors then others. Who doesn't like shaved ice. Less calories then most custard places and great service. This place is always busy and they do offer a drive thru service as well. LOVE LOVE LOVE this place as well as all other locations. read more

I've been wanting a sugar-free/calorie-free Hawaiian-shaved ice for a long time now, and I've finally found a great place that has them, and they offer a wide selection of diet flavors at that. For those of you that aren't a fan of sugar-free products/sugar substitutes, they have an even wider selection of regular flavors. Seriously the amount and variety of flavors that they carry amazes me. They can also drizzle your shaved ice with cream if you're craving a little novelty. I came here with some friends and got a sugar-free red raspberry & pina colada shaved ice and it was amazing. I'm so coming here now as a better and healthier alternative to ice cream when I'm craving a frozen treat. Bahama Buck's has won my heart. read more

Large selection of sugar free flavors and even larger selection of regular flavors! Their sugar-free is also flavored with stevia which I prefer over aspartame and other sweeteners. The portions are HUGE and the ice is perfect! Fine and powdery, just like eating real snow. They get 4 stars because of the time I got a side by side sugar free banana and sugar free toasted coconut, and my banana was definitely not sugar free. I was on a strict diet at the time and could not have ANY sugar. I called and the manager I spoke with basically told me I was wrong and that it was sugar free. He didn't offer to compensate me, offer me a free treat, or even a free punch on my card. I will continue to patronize them because that is the only issue I've ever had, but I can't forget it. read more

This is the first Bahama Bucks to ever launch in Arizona and I have been coming here since I was a kid. This place is by far one of my favorite places to get shaved ice. They've opened up some other locations but as long as I've been coming here this location ALWAYS seems to be on top of there game and make the best stuff. There hasn't been one person that I've introduced this place too that hasn't fallen in love with it. I would recommend this place too anybody with a sweet tooth. Hopefully they open one up on the west side out in Glendale. I can say they would get ALOT of business out here that's for sure. read more

This place is AMAZING! I always take my family and friends here when they visit. The shaved ice is really soft and fluffy and is even better with cream. There are somewhere around 50 flavors to try, so you won't ever get bored. They have a drive thru that's open pretty late so you can come here for a midnight snack whenever you want. The staff is friendly and courteous and they all seem to be happy to work there. read more

So I used to go to Bahama Buck's in high school in North Scottsdale until it magically vanished! Out of business? Who knows why this busy bad ass little spot stopped serving Shaved Ice and Smoothies to the teenage masses. It wasn't until today (about 13 years later) that I realized there was another one! Terrible experience. I went through the drive through with no one in front of me. It took them a solid five minutes before they even let me place my order, another five minutes before the let me pay for my order, and then another three minutes before they got my two smoothies out to me. The smoothies themselves were fine but the experience was terrible. read more

Perfect. This is Arizona so you always want something to cool you down. Good prices. wide selection- including 'thin ice' (zero calorie!) and smoothies. The cream they mix in (also comes in thin variety) ....I don't know what it is but it's delicious. Bonus: drive thru. Extra bonus: the spoons color change with temperature. read more

This place is seriously de-friggen-licious!! My old roomie, a native of Mesa, took me here and I dream about coming here whenever it's hot (and that's most of the time if you're in the Phoenix-Scottsdale-Tempe-Mesa area). Their shaved ice is super soft and fluffy. They have a bagillion flavors and their cream is awesome! You have to get it! It is another 45 cents, I think, but don't think twice! I noticed some people said this was a dodgy location, but maybe I'm from the 'hood or something, cuz this place was NOT iffy at all! If anything it is a little dim-lit at night, but really no big deal. I wish I still lived in AZ just so I could enjoy Bahama Bucks on the daily! read more

The best shaved ice in town! I drive from down town Phoenix to mesa just for their shaved ice (sometimes a smoothie) I've never had a better shaved ice in my life. The flavors are full and drench the ice. Every bite is perfect combination between ice and flavor and just melts in your mouth. Its great year round but nothing better than this on a hot summer day. Their smoothies are delicious also! I personally love the bahama colada smoothies. read more

This place is soooo good. Nice sour flavors (and others too) the ice is very very finely shredded, and they really pile on the ice and the flavors. Customer service is top notch too. I had a sour cherry with cream in it, and it was absolutely devine. I would and will go back here in a heartbeat. read more

I'll tell you what I've been to 3 Bahamas buck locations. The Mesa drive and southern is the best. Dont know how they get the shaved ice so soft but it's always on point. I don't ever do anything larger than a baby size. I mix my flavors up quite a bit. But always do cream. read more

We drove 30 minutes to get bahama buck's, Got there at 10:01. When we pulled in there was 2 groups of 4 people eating inside. They saw us turned the light of the drive through off. Refusing ya service after one minute. They are inconsiderate it was 1 minute as they're are people inside. Tried walking in as the people in there had full cups left, still refused. read more

Ashame to say I went to this place with my family 3-4 times a week. My wife and 3 year old daughter were denied the use of a bathroom because they weren't a customer at that moment. We were coming in afterwards to get out family shaved ice drinks. Never again will I spend a dime at this place. Manager said he could not discriminate because he didn't want drug user coming in and using the bathroom. I said it was my wife and a 3 year old that needed to pee. Really? read more

I was expecting it to be a bit more sweet but it was still good and the coffee flavor was strong. There were ground up pistachios in it which was a nice touch, but there was definitely more than I would have preferred. I felt like every sip I took I had to chew as well. My boyfriend got the Karak Chai and he liked it and said it was strong. It's cute inside and there's plenty of seating. It would be a great study spot since there are a lot of tables. It's a bit pricey, but luckily when we went they were doing a BOGO 50% offer for all drinks.

When my friends today mentioned wanting dessert after lunch, I suggested this as it was in proximity to where we met for ramen. The owner (I presume) greeted us and so did his brother who was seated in the lobby. They boasted it was the best gelato in Arizona, and it was authentic like Italy. I was skeptical at first as a lot can talk a big game, but then you try it and it's average. Stracciatella is a classic flavor and one of my favorites, so I requested a sample. It was very creamy, but the dark chocolate helped cut the sweetness. I ordered a piccolo (small) and it was just the right size for a treat. My friends ordered behind me and I found a spot for us to sit and chat. The interior is mostly tables for two chairs, but we made a table of three. In the future, I'd probably grab to go as it's fairly small. Still a solid choice for a sweet treat and I would recommend it if you are in the area.

I'll have to try a mini pie and other goods next time I'm around!

My mom and I went to the Bahama Bucks on Mesa Drive and Southern thru the drive thru and ordered two shaved icee's. Since I was driving, I had my mom hold mine until I arrived home. We realized when we got home that there were little bug/like inside the icee's.... I scooped one out and saw that it started to move! I looked thru a magnifying glass and took pictures/videos and realized it was a scorpion! I put the scorpion in a glass jar, along with the Cherry Bahama Buck and drove back to the store to show them what I had found. To my dismay, the young manager refused to look at the icee and the scorpion I had placed in a jar. He offered to give me another one, but I felt very uneasy and just asked for my money back. He rudely refused and walked away from the window. I stayed there very hurt and embarrassed hoping he would come back as I was very concerned about other people purchasing and possibly getting bugs in theirs... I called police to make a report of the possible dangers of scorpions and they directed me to call Bahama cooperate and the health department. The following day I did! I am very saddened about this rude, disgusting incident...! read more

Found this gem while searching the entire Phoenix area for Hawaiian shaved ice and went in with high expectations--- if you're a Hawaiian shaved ice fan VS Italian shaved ice then you know how easily disappointed you can get with the quality of your ice. Well, Bahama Bucks does not disappoint.... There are tons of flavors, smoothies, drinks, optional add ons, they use real fruit, affordable pricing AND a buy 10 get 11th free punch card, helpful and cheerful employees, a line out the door that moves quickly but quality of product does not suffer! Had the best time with my cousins! I brought a big group and even though they were super busy on a Sunday they were so nice. Ruby took my order and was super nice to me. A girl named Isabella helped her too and she was really helpful in giving us recommendations! I LOVED THE OREO COOKIE! I enjoy Bahama bucks ice-cream & shaved ice, this location is a bit small & take a good 15 minutes to receive your order. When my order was ready I had to ask for a lot of napkins because it had too much syrup or ice-cream was already melting, the cup was dripping. I get the Bahama mama in size small its a pretty big size so you get your moneys worth. read more
