    Potato tacos combo

Where can you get $1.49 fish tacos but here! The tacos were crispy and tasted fresh and delicious with lots of veggies inside! The potato tacos were good but just not as flavorful, I'd stick with the fish tacos. The service is amazing and they really make you feel welcomed. I hope more people come here and check this place out!

I was a little intimidated by all the choices of seafood and Mexican food selection. The place is rather small, but really give you a large serving for fish tacos and are totally fresh and tasty. You really need to hunch over and take in the fish tacos in large bites, as they are fragile and have so much stuffed into the soft taco tortilla that you can loose much of the delicious toppings. I would like to dine in the restaurant, as there are plenty of seats, but since I was alone, I'd rather eat this at home. The fish tacos were ready in about five minutes and the staff were friendly and helpful in explaining the menu to this gringo. Although not a chain restaurant, the cuisine was that of a beach hut somewhere along a Mexican Beach, and so relaxing.

Although the downside is no air conditioning on a hot day when you dine inside, the impeccably fresh and tasty fish tacos more than make up for this! Service is pleasant and the inside is clean. I tried the Fish Taco Combo with rice and beans. Everything tasted from scratch and full of flavor!! Would totally return!

One of the best fish taco deals ever, 1.49 each on Wednesday and Sundays and good amount of delicious fish with free chips and salsa. Doesn't get much better than this. Come check this place out if you haven't yet. Service is amazing as well. Inside is on the smaller end but it is kept clean.

Love this family. Father and son duo. The owner of this taco place came from PEPPERS in Arcadia back in the day. I usually get fish tacos and Menudo on Sunday.. i've actually seen mom making chile rellenos in the back.. everything is always fresh made quickly and orderly. Times are tough out there for people support your local taco spot...

Tasty fish tacos in this quaint spot in the city of Monrovia. Located in a small plaza next to a laundromat and across from another taco stand. This place has friendly, quick service and known for their fish tacos. A great place for a quick meal or snack.

    Asada street tacos

Got asada tacos -- a note, price has gone up to $2.49 for street tacos -- and they looked & tasted very fresh and delicious! Salsas served with tacos were watery and could really be improved if they were thicker with more concentrated flavor. Food was served with chips and pico de gallo which was nice and chunky yet also watery somehow, but the flavor was very good with just enough heat (could have been a little spicier for me!). Service was fast and friendly and the place was clean. I'd eat here again!

Baja Mar Fish Taco is a local gem. They offer daily specials of (chicken, fish, shrimp, etc) tacos for $1.29, which are a great value. My favorites are the potatoes, fish and shrimp as I love potatoes and seafood. Excellent portions and quality.

Still as good as the first day I came here in 2009. I haven't been here in 10 years and passing by the area I felt the need to stop by, the team member was extremely friendly, chatty and generous. Gave me free chips and salsa for the wait which was very accommodating. The dining area looked clean and well kept. Overall I think this will keep me coming back whenever I want fish tacos. Thank you

I ordered kids' nuggets but was charged for kids' tenders, which cost more. I also ordered noodles listed on the menu for $4.99, but was charged $10.50. When I questioned it, the manager first claimed nuggets and tenders were the same price, which they are not. Then I was told the noodle price was supposedly "happy hour pricing," even though nothing on the menu or tables mentioned that. The waitress helping us was actually very nice My issue was with management. After making us wait, the manager came over, dropped the check on the table without apologizing, he said nothing and walked away. The charges were never corrected. Before posting this review, I emailed the restaurant twice, contacted them on Instagram, and never received any response. I'm mainly disappointed by the lack of accountability and customer service.

Obviously, you can't come to a place that has lobster in the menu without ordering lobster, and we got the House Special Lobster (Large) with Garlic Noodle. Other items we ordered were the French Style Beef Cube, Braided Crab Meat & Fish Maw Soup, Beef Mongolian, Crispy Fried Sole Fish, BBQ Fried Rice, Clams with Spicy Sauce, Crispy Fried Squid with Salt and Pepper, and Clams with Black Bean Sauce. The portions are actually quite massive for each dish. All of it was very solid and tasty Chinese food. We were definitely very stuffed after this lunch was over! Service here is solid enough for a Chinese place. They were pretty quick with getting us extra plates to change out our dirty plates and more bowls as needed. And they were quick with the water. But yeah, you do have to flag them down to get their attention. They do have a parking lot here, and we got here early enough on a Sunday where parking wasn't an issue. Because the wait time was too long for that, we decided to try The Dive Oyster Bar -- and man are we sure glad we did. We got a total of five items: a bowl of clam chowder, the soft shell crab appetizer, the roasta, the traditional pan roast with the house speciality protein (with the crab on the side because of my dad's crab allergy), and the jambalaya, which for the last three we ate with medium heat. We shared everything (except for the crab appetizer because, again, crab allergy for dad) and found the food to be delicious, with each entree coming out tasting better than the last. Personally, the roasta was my favorite with the pan roast as a close second. Very flavorful dishes with medium heat being a good level for us (wasn't spicy for our Korean palates). Service was great, our server (unfortunately forgot his name) was attentive and quick with our requests, and although he forgot a side of rice, it was for the best as the food had settled in our stomachs by then and we were content with what we ordered. The restaurant itself is well maintained with ample table space and appropriate lighting, though the music from the evening DJ was a tad bit too loud to hear from across the table. Not a big mood killer for us, though mostly because the good was that good. We're not from this area, so the odds of coming here again are relatively slim -- but should the opportunity present itself, it'll be more than fate this time to take us through these doors once again.
