Came for lunch to give this place a try, and it took over 15 for the server to come to our table to take our drink order. We asked to place our food order as well so we would have enough time to eat. For anyone on their lunch hour please think twice before trying this place out. We had to ask for our check and for them to pack out food. It took over 45 mins for the food to start coming out. I only ordered a shrimp quesadilla. The server said they only had one cook and we understood but their were only two other parties in the restaurant and they already had their food. This establishment needs to work on their customer service if they would like to bring new customers and returning customers back. read more

Baja Urban is the best seafood restaurant around! The prices are affordable, food quality is on point, and service is second to none. A little back story, there was a restaurant at this location called Tecate. My fiance and I lived 5 minutes away at the time and we became loyal customers for over 3 years. We were devastated when we found out Tecate closed in 2019. Luckily we were able to keep in contact with Iris and her husband Lalo, who used to work at Tecate. We supported them at the La Puente night market when they were only selling micheladas and again when they started doing food deliveries. Now they are the proud owners of Baja Urban! You can imagine how proud we are of these two after all of these years. They are such humble people and know what they're doing. We are now going to be making the 30 minute drive from Chino Hills when we're craving their food. Our go-to's are the shrimp ceviche tostada, shrimp tacos, shrimp quesadilla, horchata, and micheladas. Give this small business a try and you'll be hooked! read more

Dumbest place I have ever been to. Just dropped by to order two tacos to go. The worker says sorry she can't take order. I saw customers with 5 tables sitting down. I saw 3 tables left. Only two customers were sitting down. She had me sit down and wait for 25 min. I was like "can I make an order now?" She says "I am sorry still busy. I have to go by the order of customer sitting" and there were only two tables. What kind of joke is this? I'm glad I never got their food. Also the restaurant wasn't that clean inside. If your driving fast you'll miss but boy what a great place to eat. From the moment you walk in you're greeted with a warm welcome and a clean dining area. I decided to go with the Tostada Rosarito and they definitely hit the nail on the hammer. Very flavorful and filling. I thought I was going to need to order something to compliment the tostada but I was stuffed. Definitely will be back with more friends. read more

We always enjoy the food and the customer service is friendly and inviting. For takeout, be aware that wait time can take up to 45 minutes for your order since they take their time preparing your food well. I've been coming to this place for a while. You would assume that the girl that is always there that see us every time we go would be nice and sweet to returning customers, buttt I get the impression that she is annoyed with us for coming. I've been feeling like this for some time now, but kept coming . I don't see why that would happen because we are keeping this business open we literally eat here every weekend. I bring family and friends every time I come, but I got to the point where I want to share my feelings. Every time we come we get chips after we finish one basket. And all of a sudden she says that she charges for extra chips. Not cool why doesn't she respect a regular customer that has been coming for years. The cost of chips is $1.90 not alot but that's besides the point. I know that this is not a rule. SHE TOTALLY made this up!!!! Also the big table that's on the left side the only big table is always reserved. But that's also not true. I get it she doesn't want any small parties to sit there, but if you have a big enough party she should offer it or be allowed. I came in with 7 people and she told me where to sit, I did not want to sit there so I sat somewhere els she said u fit better back there. So then I asked if I can sit on the big table. She then acted like people had reserved but did not call back which I also know is BULLSHIT. This girl does not have customer service she's rude to returning customers. The only reason why I keep coming back is because I like the food. But today is my last day here. The restaurant is under staff this girl is always here. And she is not the friendliest. She makes up here own rules. The chips and tables. And she doesn't make us feel comfortable. If you are looking for good customer service this is not the place. She was very rude today. I still don't get it. Lady if your reading this message learn proper English if you work at a restaurant. And work on your customer service. I did not leave her a tip because she did not deserve one. She needs to know that she did not have good customer service. My friend that I took for the first time left very upset. This place has been in the neighborhood for years, however it wasn't until recently it's taken a place in Lp. Food is awesome here. I recommend the steak and shrimp burrito. All this place needs is the alcohol license and I'm sure it'll be the place to eat. Will be coming here A LOT. read more
