The selection when I arrived at 10:30 AM on a Saturday!
    Grace L.

Wow, these desserts absolutely blew me away and I've been recommending this pop up to all of my friends! I placed an online order the day before, and it was perfectly packaged for me by the pick up time I selected. I ordered the assorted egg tart set ($25) which came with 2 original, 1 corn, and 1 mocha. My favorite was the corn egg tart, and I highly recommend it! The mocha egg tart almost tasted like a tiramisu, and the original was great too. I love how the crust really holds its shape, and doesn't get soggy from the egg tart. These egg tarts are the epitome of not too sweet. I also got the scone set ($12.50) which came with the scallion scone and vanilla strawberry scone. Both were moist and filling, but the scallion one was slightly better. My friend pre-ordered 2 sweet potato egg tarts, and really enjoyed it too. There's only street parking, but there is an abundance of street parking. There is no seating, so be prepared to eat standing, in your car, or have an impromptu picnic. I love this pop up and will definitely be back often!

Cute little popup! We tried one of everything. To me - the scones were the star. The egg tarts were yummy too. My husband liked the garlic bun...I didnt get a picture of that though. I would go again if I was in the area.

Good - delicious baked goods - scones, financier, dubai chocolate mochi, egg tart - great service, very kind Cons: - street parking - popup store - long line of wait - sold out after 15-30min after open Overall, worth a wait. Its that delicious

HUGE egg tarts!! (Tad pricey though $6-$6.50 each) These are a different than the traditional Chinese egg tarts at dim sum. This is a Korean popup bakery and there's soooo many different flavors and treats to try. I got the regular egg tart and sweet potato egg tart, which is their new year flavor. They are not too sweet or eggy, very light, creamy, and custardy. The crust is less flakey and buttery, and more of a solid, almost pie-like crust. Sweet potato was fun to try but it doesn't beat the classic. Has sweet potato paste inside. The popup is open on weekends and the girl that was there was so sweet and kind! She was recommending us flavors and just lovely to chat with. The pastries are so cutie and aesthetic. Perfect weekend morning treat!

This is a pop-up bakery that has set up shop in a suite amongst the industrial warehouses of the Miramar neighborhood. A small sign placed at the end of a driveway indicated the presence of Bakemellow. It's now open five days a week instead of just on weekends. A small lot had sufficient spaces for the few suites that shared the common parking area. A friend told me to visit because of her favorite item which were the Scallion Scones. These were unfortunately sold out when I arrived. The display at the service counter featured cookies, egg tarts, and financiers. There were two egg tart flavors, original and corn. Both of them had a crown profile shape that was taller than the kind you find at dim sum houses. I bought one of each and was impressed by the creaminess of the custards. Several types of financiers were available which were French small cakes made with brown butter. I picked an original and a matcha for my order. They were shaped like mini loaves of bread but were moist and delicious. I do think they were a tad pricey at $3.75 each though. I am interested to see what other baked goods they make throughout the week as a small operation. I gave a four star rating for my visit to Bakemellow.

The egg tarts are good, but the real star? The scallion scone. I'm honestly sad I can eat it in two bites, but it was the perfect breakfast. Not too dry, perfectly balanced--no single component trying to steal the spotlight. The scallions, the sweet-savory cream cheese... just delicious. Pro tip: order ahead online because the scallion scone is a vibe on its own and sells out fast.

Bake Mellow is a sweet little treasure tucked into Miramar's weekend scene. This pop-up bakery specializes in petite, beautifully crafted pastries that blend classic techniques with eclectic flavors. From silky corn egg tarts with a golden, flaky crust to matcha madeleines and strawberry vanilla scones, every bite feels like a thoughtful celebration of flavor and form. What sets Bake Mellow apart is their artistry and seasonal creativity. Their pastries aren't just tasty -- they're visually stunning, with delicate details that make them perfect for gifting or treating yourself. The flavor profiles are playful yet refined - think earl grey, churro etc. that add depth and surprise. They're currently open weekends in Miramar, but they also pop up at other events and collaborate with fellow San Diego makers, so keep an eye on their socials for updates. it's always exciting to see where they'll show up next ;) Whether you're a pastry aficionado or just looking for something unique and delightful, Bake Mellow is worth seeking out. It's the kind of place that makes you fall in love with the art of baking all over again. And oh saving the best for the last - they have the sweetest owners and a super friendly team !!

Super fresh and delicious pastries. We ordered the scone set (scallion and vanilla strawberry), Dubai chewy cookie, and sweet potato tarts. The scone set is so good. Super yummy and moist scones. I loved the Scallion scone. The Dubai chew cookies are a must-try! The pick up is super easy and the owner is super sweet.

A cute little popup with delicious looking pastries! The parking lot it's in is small but we found parking easily on Sunday around 11 am. We got the original egg tart and strawberry cream scone. The egg tart was tasty, filled with creamy egg filling and the crust was thick and crunchy. The strawberry scone was so cute shaped like a Santa hat. It wasn't too dry, not too sweet and had a good amount of strawberry jam. The girl working was friendly and nice!

Been wanting to try this pop-up! Came on a Sunday around 11AM and it wasn't too busy, found parking easily too. It's more of a booth set up in the parking lot. The girl working was friendly and sweet! We got the original egg tart and strawberry cream scone. I love egg tarts and would say these are good, thicker than usual which I don't mind since I love the bread part. The strawberry scone isn't dry and a good sweetness. The decoration is cute and I like the strawberry. Payment is Zelle or Venmo only. Wishing them success!

Highly recommended! Their desserts were not only delicious but also adorable. The corn egg tart was my personal favorite; it was incredibly flavorful and not too sweet. The Dubai chocolate chewy cake was equally delightful, with its satisfying chewy texture. I will order again for sure!

Went to check out Bakemellow on a Sunday after seeing it on IG and it was just as good in real life! My favorite was the green onion scone which was super rich, flavorful and had a good crunch. The corn egg tart was also delicious and the cornbread cookie reminded me of a corn flake in cookie form. The staff was super friendly and helpful! I'll definitely be back to try their other pastries.

Best egg tart ever! It's incredibly soft, creamy, and so delicious that I can't stop thinking about it. Definitely a must-try!

Had very low expectations for the gelato to begin with seeing as the colors were extremely unnatural and the way it was heaped was a clear indication to me that it is not legitimate gelato and unfortunately, I was proven very right. I got the strawberry so that my toddler could have a few few bites and it was so unnatural and weird tasting that she didn't even want any... And if that doesn't say something! My husband got the coffee flavor and he literally took three bites and threw it away as well.
