I really like the food from this place BUT I wish they were constant with what they give you. I always order the same thing and I always get different portions of things. The two protein plate comes with 3 sides, I asked for veggies and two sides of fries. I spent 27 dollars! And they gave me 12 fries I went back and asked and the worker told me that was the amount but last time I asked for the same thing and they gave a bag of fries plus what was in my plate. I absolutely love this place! The food is always fresh, flavorful, and perfectly cooked. I have visited this location two times. The customer service is lackluster. Usually it's the kids teenagers serving and taking orders and they are just not that warm and friendly. There's no smiles barely a thank you then both times I saw a very large man. He looks like the father he's completely bald, he was actually grabbing food out of a bowl with his fingers. I must've looked disgusted because our eyes met, he walks away, comes back with tongs, grabs the shaved meat and put it in a little brown bowl plate looking thing. He grabs the garlic sauce from a squeeze bottle above the stove where a woman is trying to cook and he's just entitled and in the way! I promise you he served himself 4 times.... Like really? Then he has some papers and he goes to the register and wants this young boys attention but the young man was warming up the pita bread with the press. He stood there feeding his face watching everyone work! LAZY is all I could think of! If that was your wife serving, why wouldn't you put on an apron and start helping her instead of standing there and feeding your face? I felt so bad for her. I now decided I won't go back. The food here is not good. If you've ever eaten authentic Mediterranean food, you will know this is low grade fast food. It used to be ok, but something has changed. The taste is unsatisfying, so we threw the plates half eaten, away. We bought two plates. I struggled to eat my dinner. The yogurt with cucumber side tasted like it was made with a processed non fat product instead of a whole milk yogurt. The tabouleh didn't have flavor. The fire feta was very pungent, and tasted like we were eating Bleu cheese dressing mixed with Tabasco sauce. The falafel was dry, and tasted like it had a lot of wheat flour, spongy. My Bff custom ordered her protein plate and I got it how it was made. Sorry no pictures as we ate so fast by the time we thought about taking the picture our food was devour. First time here. Walked in starving. There was a short line, a few people sitting around waiting for their orders to be ready, one cashier and one cook. Two people working was not enough for the lunch rush, no sir. I'm sure they're short-staffed though. The lady cooking looked like someone's auntie rather than an actual employee--she was not wearing an apron over her regular street clothes and I really don't see how you can cook in a sweater and not get sweater lint in the food. Neither employee was wearing gloves but they wore masks. Everything took a lot of time. The phone kept on ringing. People kept on coming in. It was obvious people like the food here with all the people wanting to order. That cashier was working her tail off AND had a great attitude. Never got flustered, stayed pleasant and service oriented 100%. The cook was not moving at an efficient pace like the cashier was, that's another clue that she is just someone's auntie filling in for the day. She didn't seem to have a sense of urgency. I don't know how long I waited for my 2-protein meal but when I finally got it, I sat in my car and dove into the fries for the drive home. I dipped them in Zaky sauce which was a great idea. Bomb. When I got home, I realized they accidentally gave me rice, too, and it was A TON of rice under the kafta. I chose a 2nd protein of falafel, and my sides were hummus, tabouleh, and quinoa salad. All were delicious!! It was just so much food, that paying $16.99 made sense to me. It's at least 2 meals in that plate and I love leftovers. Store managers need to make some changes: -When someone orders a big ol' plate of food, don't charge them extra for another little thing of sauce. The meal only comes with one little tiny sauce. They charged me 65 cents for another. That should be complimentary! -Open another side of the counter for Pick-ups. There's only one spot open for taking orders AND picking up. Too crowded. -Simplify your menu layout. It is too busy and confusing. It's a good thing the line was so slow cuz it took me some time to understand what and how to order. After going to this place for several years it's time to write this review. Customers must be aware of the changes that have been made to this place that aren't good!!!. It used to be good. They are so OVER-PRICED NOW. The meat used to really juicy and flavorful and they used to give you a lot more. I've been there 3 times within the last 6 weeks and I swear they changed the quality of the meat 100% it is not the same. The meat it is so dry, it is not juicy at all ... it is not tender and they give you a lot less. What they give you a ton of rice instead of giving you more of the proteins. The quality os the sides are terrible as well. This place has gone downhill and the customer service is terrible. Not to mention their pita bread that they give you is hard, it is not fresh. This place is (in my opinion) the best of the Mediterranean food in the area. Decor: simple tables and chair with banquette seating along the west edge. Sparsely decorated with the front counter having clear view of the kitchen. Food: my oh my if you want food here just go for the bowl. If I had to describe the Mediterranean rice here: savory to almost being meat itself along with wetting your appetite. Their house sauce is incredible; creamy with hints of herbs. The beef and lamb shawarma is delectably soft with the onions providing a crisp bite. Now the bad: The sides are almost completely irrelevant and the hummus falls short of another Mediterranean restaurant nearby. Not good, not bad just completely ignorance. I ordered the falafel sandwich for pickup, when I arrived at the restaurant, the girl who got my order was rude, not friendly. You can clearly tell she didn't want to be there. The fries and the falafel were cold. The falafel in the sandwich were tiny, I felt like I was eating primarily pita, cucumber, and tomato than falafel. You can clearly tell they make the falafel tiny to cut costs. The fries were unsalted, cold, and soggy. In all, a very mediocre experience and an overpriced one as well. We ordered dinner here and were a little surprised at the prices, but figured the food was decent (from our other visits to the Fontana location). We ordered the lamb kabob rice bowl and chicken wrap. The bowl was $14.49 and they literally put FIVE pieces of meat in the bowl. It was basically all rice. Very few veggies either. My chicken wrap had good flavor, but the tzaziki sauce wasn't on it. They had given us 2 very tiny containers of sauce and my husband thought it was for his bowl. So I had no sauce. It was like a teaspoon in the container! Also my fries had no seasoning and tasted old. For $30 this was NOT worth it. Talk about cutting corners. Sadly, we will not be back. read more

The customer service here is sub par. I ordered this for my daughter's birthday dinner and received my order missing the sauces that come with the whole chicken dinner. When I called to complain the guy states that there will be an $8 credit. This only after explaining ad nauseum it was the larger sauces not the 0.99 cent sauces. So I go in to get my credit an the lady can't find and has to call the guy and he states the credit is 0.99 for the missing sauces. I explained he confirmed over the phone it was $8. The dysfunction there is enough that I won't go back despite the food being good. Mediterranean food is a dime a dozen here so they should get it together. The fact that they argued over an $8 credit is crazy. Now they are dealing with my dispute on American Express for the whole $100 and the fee for the dispute.
