While I was walking off my lunch, I saw this Mexican bakery and wanted to check it out. Not a fancy place, it's a small shop with a table with 2 seats--it's definitely not a place to hangout...get your goods and go! I hadn't been to a Mexican bakery in a long time and this brought back some delicious memories. I wasn't expecting to buy anything, just wanted a peek...turns out they had pumpkin empanadas (my favorite) and I couldn't resist. I also ended up buying pan dulce (conchas, empanadas, cuernos, raspberry rollcake, etc.). The pastries did not disappoint...the pumpkin filling was excellent, nice dark orangey color, not very sweet, the crust was baked well and the overall flavor is a winner in my book. The counter person was really helpful to this non-Spanish speaker. She was so helpful and answered all my questions. I would definitely go back for more. read more

Absolutely ridiculous service. My mother-in-law went in the night before (Wednesday) to pre-order a large order for a funeral she had early Thursday morning. She gave the young woman a complete list of all the bread she wanted and what time she needed it by. She showed up early the next morning and asked for her order, only to find out the morning shift had no clue what she was talking about. They made her repeat the entire order, which made them really late to the funeral. This is not what my mother-in-law needed after losing her brother. Please learn to communicate better with each other. The bread wasn't bad, which is the only reason they're getting 2 stars. Servicio absolutamente ridículo. I love this bakery. The bakery products are fresh and delicious The staff are friendly and kind But, I just found out that the tips you add on the tablet are not given to the staff. The tips they are able to keep are from the tip jar. This must be illegal So, if you're paying by card, skip the tip on the tablet, bring a little cash, and add your tip of choice to the tip jar. read more

I usually don't leave reviews but after buying a rosca de reyes and finding it hard and unable to eat I decided to leave one. This place should not be in the business of selling pastries if you don't even try your own product because if you had you wouldn't had sold me something that went straight to the garbage. My first time here, parking was easy, and they accepted cards. They had lots of options, and the prices vary depending on the item. But roughly, $3 for piece. They have pan dulce, cookies and a hot cocoa/ coffee machine set up. The lady who was working there greeted us right away with a smile and she was very friendly. She had no problem explaining all the options as some items had different filings. She also recommended items that were made of wheat or not sweet. My girls and my parents picked out what they wanted, and it came out to $19 something (2 cookies, 4 pan dulces & bonus pan). I am fine paying this price per pastry because we pay for similar stuff at Starbucks or Paris Bagguette, and we don't blink twice. So why not support a local Latino owned business. The items are baked in-house and I love being able to share my culture with my girls who are mixed... so I'm down to support the bakery! They've had some remodels since my last visit and it looks great! It is now more modern. Service was quick and good, I went in the evening and there wasn't a line. Cute little bakery. No seating inside or outside so be prepared to take your sweets home! The options of pan dulce is incredible! I got a few concha's, empanadas de calabaza , and bread pudding. I did really enjoy the concha's and puffing more than the empanadas but I think I should have ate those on the first day. Service was fast. However, the lady was not the warmest of people which made me want to order quick lol despite there not being a line. That's another thing to consider, this is not a self serve bakery, the worker grabs the bread for you. Try it out see if you like this spot despite the lady. I was looking for a good bakery around my area. Came across this one on Yelp. Went and tried it and unfortunately I will say I'm not planning on going back again. I can always appreciate a good sweet treat and as a Mexican native Pan Dulce is always one of my first options. I purchased 9pcs of bread and didn't realize pricing until I was given my total, nothing there is tagged with a price. I was shocked to see their prices, I was paying to Mexican bread pretty much the same amount I would pay at a higher end bakery shop, some pieces for $3.50 a PIECE that just doesn't happen at a Mexican bakery. Always heard about this bakery never had the chance to stop by here, just because it's a bit far from my house. But when they announced they had baby yoda roscas, I had to pay them a visit. I've always been a bit intimidated by Mexican bakeries, just because if how different the selection is from the Asian/French style bakeries I'm used to. The shapes and colors are unfamiliar, and there aren't always labels. Luckily, I'm no longer sleeping on these delicious pastries. The the flaky pastries were super light and flaky, and flavorful inside. The buns and cookies are also surprising light and faintly sweet. Everything tastes amazing with coffee or tea. There are now very few Mexican bakeries in the area. I had moved away from the bay area for about 10 years and now that I am back I realize that most of the ones that were here before have gone out of business. I am glad to see that at least this bakery still stands. I find that the prices are similar to what you would find in an American bakery and I am fine with that. There was a line to go order inside and the man in front of me was cordial and insisted I should skip him. I ordered my favorite concha (vainilla) and it was good. Usually, I have a really good experience going to this bakery. I was there last week and I ordered a huge box of pastries, and it was an older lady that was working there and she coughed literally inside my box. I just looked at her and walked out that was disgusting and gross, and it looked like she had a cold. I tried to call to speak to the manager, but of course no one ever picks up the phone.
