This was a delicious bakery located in the Pearl District. The staff were friendly and welcoming. The place was well lit and clean. The decor was fancy chic and the value of the items purchased was good. We quite enjoyed the macaroons-the Keylime and the mango were yummy. Will definitely come here again when I am in town hope that you enjoyed it. Have a great experience like I did.

Bakery Lorraine was highly recommended when I visited San Antonio, and it definitely lived up to the hype in terms of ambiance, both the interior and exterior. All of the bakery items looked so tempting, but I ended up trying three macarons. They were very good. The filling was more of a light cream, which I actually enjoyed more than a typical jammy filling. The Earl Grey flavor was my favorite! I also had their matcha latte, which was pretty much a standard matcha with agave. The only downside is that food items are a bit on the pricey side, and they're definitely best eaten fresh because the croissant can get hard. Still, a lovely spot to check out if you're in the area!

The café was very pretty inside, and the box the macarons came in was super cute. However, I think it should be a crime to charge $9 for a few macarons . The taste was okay, but I couldn't really taste the Earl Grey or mangonada flavors. They were cute, but unfortunately, not worth the price in my opinion.

I wasn't able to capture the inside of this place this time around, but I always enjoy coming here. This time we grabbed grapefruit tiramisu and a poptart and it was good. A bit overpriced, but much expected with the presentation they have for their items. The service is always friendly even when they are packed.

Bakery Lorraine is one of my favorite places to visit. I live nearby so I come often for a sweet treat or to enjoy a savory breakfast. The menu has something for everyone! The breakfast quiche is divine and one of my favorites. I could go on and on about the bakery items so you'll have to come check em out for yourself! It's usually fairly busy so the service feels a tad rushed sometimes but the employees are friendly. There are plenty of tables, inside and out. There are usually folks working on laptops or just reading peacefully. Stop by, grab something yummy, and enjoy the Pearl area!

Popped in for a snack after my Sunday run! Always prompt service, the best pastries (grateful for the gluten free option), matcha could be a little better, but overall the ambiance is great and welcoming.

Lol that's how good it was

Stop by first time to have something warm to eat. Tomatoes soup n cheese bread . Omg it was the best tomato soup I have had . Service was very hospitable . Place is at the old Pearl Brewery . W fine dinning . Bakery n a market that sells just about anything . Very old warehouses structure, very unique style. Thx goodness we stop by this place I can stir savor the tomatoes soup

Bakery Lorraine is the kind of place that instantly puts you in a good mood. The space feels bright, warm, and full of that French-inspired charm that makes you slow down and enjoy the moment. Their pastry cases are stunning--croissants with the perfect flaky crackle, colorful macarons that taste as good as they look, and seasonal pies and tarts that genuinely feel handcrafted with care. Paired with a smooth coffee, it's the perfect start to any day.

We went to the pearl for the farmers market and decided to walk in here to get a coffee. The restaurant was full of art pieces on of them I knew the artist since his been a big part of the community. Went in line to check out the bakery so many pastries to choice from sadly I was full from the food at the market but next time I would stop to grab a bit here. We were welcomed by the barista by a smile. I order the brown sugar latte and it was amazing. The coffee was smooth and just right in sweetness.

Every-time we are in the area we stop in here. I usually get the grilled cheese with tomato soup and my little one gets the turkey pesto with chips. The sandwiches are great but sometimes the toast on the bread is too hard. The desserts are usually fantastic. We always try different desserts not know how they will taste and I have yet to have a terrible one. The hot chocolate is a little bland but the coffee is good. GIve them a try if only for the desserts. The macaroons are always a plus! The environment is nice and welcoming the staff is always super nice. I prefer to sit outside, but inside is nice as well. The weekends are busy so prepare for a wait but it's worth it.

    Breakfast Plate

Went here before hitting the farmer's market and it honestly surprised me how good it was! I got the breakfast plate with avocado as my choice of "meat" and it was amazing. The avocado was fresh (no brown spots like some places), the potatoes were seasoned and cooked perfectly, eggs were also cooked well and came with sourdough bread! It was also easy to get a table and food came out quickly even though it was a Saturday! Will definitely be back.

Grabbed a quick breakfast item of a raspberry chocolate muffin. I know not the healthiest breakfast but sometimes you have to go off the rails and enjoy your cravings The cashier was friendly and fast. She also heated my muffin which made it more yummy. Bakery Lorraine is in the heart of the San Antonio Pearl District, When we lived at the B Pearl we frequented Bakery Lorraine frequently. While the Pearl can be quite busy, Bakery Lorraine is chill.

Ask the Community - Bakery Lorraine

    Do they have wifi?

    Yes

Do they serve potatoes? I don't see that on the menu but see them in pictures.

Several of the menu items come with potatoes. I don't know if they're listed a la carte, but I'm sure the staff would honor the request.

Does this location offer any low carb options?

Salads would be the best low carb option. They don't specialize on baked goods that are low carbs. Their pastries are delicious.

Do they sing happy birthday to birthday guests?

No, I've never seen this happen

Thankfully the hosts found me and my party a table. Our server was bright, communicative, and genuinely attentive. The grits blew my mind with it's rich butter and creamy texture while still have the grain texture. The fried tomatoes were met with a cornmeal fried crispy crunch and a juicy almost like it was marinated in lemon juice for a bit. The bacon was pretty good like a thick chunky sweet bacon strip. I personally like it a bit thinner and more crispy. I like that they offer orange juice and mango juice. My 2nd visit I knew better to get a reservation but it was completely booked when I looked to make a reservation the morning of. It was a Saturday morning. I walked in hoping anyways at 11am. They surprisingly had seats available outside this Texas summer lol. The meat pies were okay a little too greasy. I may be biased on Irish pub style meat pies. The nachos with boudin sauce and a lemon sour cream was out of this world with flavor. It what bean dip wishes it could be. I was so full I couldn't finish it, but I went for that dip. Our server cést comme ci comme ca this time. It like she was just there to get through the day that barely started. I was served a dirty water glass with a lipstick stain on it. My server rarely came by and I had to ask another server to help. Honestly I only tipped the girl server out of manners. I would not accept her as my server ever again.

The happy hour is nice. Lots of easy fried options to try different things…read more I got a lot of them - the crab purse, the meat pie, the boudin ball, the gator egg, and etouffee. All of them were okay or better. The meat pie and crab were the best. If I came back I'd try the red beans and rice and skip the egg. The only thing holding me back from loving this place were the beignets. I've been to NOLA twice in my life (but once was this July 4th). So I don't think I'm a snob about them but these were terrible. They aren't crispy or salty...they are sort of stale and tasteless (but you do taste the powder sugar). I'm surprised by how bad they were versus the other food when it's a Nola breakfast place. My son got a pancake and it was way better than the beignet. Not sure if I would come back, but if I did it would be for a happy hour again (but I'd skip the beignets). Our server was wonderful. Nice and attentive.

A Perfect Return to Where Our Forever Began My husband and I…read moregot married at Hotel Valencia one year ago, so getting to return this weekend to celebrate our first wedding anniversary was incredibly special. As part of our wedding package, they were incredibly generous and included two complimentary nights at the hotel and dinner at Dorrego's for us to celebrate. They are truly the absolute best at what they do and really know how to celebrate their guests! Returning to the very place where we said "I do" was already emotional enough, but Hotel Valencia somehow made the experience even more memorable than our first stay. From the moment we arrived, the staff was exactly as we remembered them: kind, attentive, professional, thoughtful, and genuinely wonderful. Our room was absolutely gorgeous, and when we walked in on our first day, we found the sweetest surprise waiting for us: a bottle of champagne, chocolate-covered strawberries, and a congratulations message written in chocolate on the plate. I actually teared up a little! It was such a thoughtful and adorable gesture that truly made us feel seen, celebrated, and cared for. There is something so special about Hotel Valencia. The environment is exceptional, the service is always outstanding, and even their gorgeous signature scent instantly brings us back to memories of love, celebration, and adventure. Every little detail feels intentional and memorable. I am so incredibly thankful that we chose Hotel Valencia as the place to celebrate both our wedding and our first anniversary. It will forever hold such a special place in our hearts, and we cannot wait to return again and make even more memories there. Thank you, Hotel Valencia, for helping make two of the most meaningful celebrations of our lives absolutely unforgettable!

A Wonderful Stay at Hotel Valencia!…read more We absolutely loved our stay at Hotel Valencia on the San Antonio River Walk! The location is perfect step out the front door and you're right in downtown San Antonio. From the hotel restaurant, you can take the stairs or elevator directly down to the River Walk, which makes getting around so easy and convenient. What we especially loved is that this hotel has so much character and charm. It doesn't feel like one of those cookie-cutter chain hotels. We had a balcony, although it was simply too hot during our visit to sit outside and enjoy it. I'm sure it would be wonderful on a cooler evening! The bar and restaurant were both excellent, and the entire staff was friendly and welcoming. A special shout-out to the valet guys they provided wonderful service and were always so helpful. Great location, beautiful atmosphere, delicious food and drinks, and exceptional service. We would definitely stay here again when we're back in San Antonio!
