Felipe was my server during this experience and he was simply the best due to his insightful stories about various topics. I was able to connect greatly with him and learn more about him as a person which is a rare thing to experience. The manager was also a wonderful person as she was attentive to all of the guests and would be sure to ask to ensure that all guests are having a great time. Came here to celebrate my graduation. We stayed at the Hilton so the location was convenient. I was upset at first because I had made a reservation in advance and I had requested a table near the window to enjoy the view and wasn't accommodated. However, we asked Vincent to take pictures of us and even though he wasn't our server, he put me in such a better mood by taking multiple pictures of us with the view. He really went out of his way and we were appreciative. courses - we had were the seared ahi - I am picky with my seared ahi and it was seared to perfection! Just amazing. We also had the 6 oz steak which was a little disappointing because it looked more like a 4 oz. Drinks - we ordered Irish mules but received straight Jameson no mule our server was gracious to bring me some ginger beer to add to it. Dessert - lilikoi crème brûlée. Bali Oceanfront, is one of Hiltons Hawaiian Village Resorts Beach-side restaurant and bars. They serve breakfast and dinner. They have a great staff as well. The bartenders are great. The drinks are consistently made regardless of the bartender you have. The food is great. For breakfast, they offer traditional breakfast Hawaiian inspired with some local Hawaiian dishes. For dinner, they offer a mix of American seafood and Steaks foods. I visited here twice, once for work event and the second time for breakfast. The breakfast was great. The chicken sausage and homemade biscuit are great. The food came out fairly quick given the restaurant was at capacity. This location is also a great place to watch sunrise and sunsets. We were staying at the Hilton Waikiki Village and this was downstairs from our tower. We wanted a nice breakfast with a view before beach day. Had to wait a while for an outdoor table, but we walked around the pretty grounds and the restaurant texted when they were ready. Beautiful view facing the lagoon. Everything was so peaceful and relaxing, even the bold-ass birds who hopped onto our table for food. We had a few rounds of mimosas, and our server was friendly. We split the OMG breakfast sandwich. It was decent (and heavy!) but not as memorable as I hoped for $30. I know this was a hotel restaurant and fine dining, but I was hoping for something a little better presented (it was an open sandwich that looked more like a pile on bread) and more pizazz. Had the most stunning breakfast at Bali Oceanfront. It felt like our own little mini staycation! Note: This review is only for the breakfast -- I haven't tried lunch or dinner. We ordered Bravocado Toast with 63 Degree Egg, Kiawe Brisket Huevos Rancheros, Paniolo Omelette, Bali Breakfast Bowl, Mimosas, and a Chocolate Muffin. My order was the avo toast, which I got with tomato olive feta (you could also choose salmon cream cheese). I liked the generous amount of avocado and feta crumbles. The 63 degree egg is basically like an onsen egg! It all went together perfectly with a cup of English Breakfast tea and a mimosa (virgin for me, lilikoi for my friend). And pro-tip: DON'T MISS OUT ON THAT CHOCOLATE MUFFIN. It had a generous amount of chocolate chips and was really moist - basically an excuse to eat chocolate cake for breakfast hehe. To be honest, one big downside here is the price. It was VERY expensive. Plus, it's right in Waikiki and quite difficult for a local to get to. I've said this before and I'm still a firm believer in Hotel restaurants.. Whenever we travel we always have a mix of Local restaurants as well as one or two that are located inside Hotels.. Why you ask..its simple, usually a hotel restaurant have a much larger support structure backing it where as a local restaurant they really only have themselves to rely on so they are either going to do well or they go under... Hotel restaurants typically don't fail, you have the team in the restaurant driving Culinary and Service with another layer of management (Property Executive Chef and Food & Beverage Director) over-seeing them and above all that a Hotel General Manager that "Hopefully" dines in the outlet weekly and provides Feedback to the teams. We choose to visit Bali Oceanside Restaurant this trip, its located in the Rainbow Tower of the Hilton Hawaiian Village. We arrived just as they were opening and were sat almost immediately. First impressions were that the staff were all smiling, the restaurant was clean and well lit.. Its important to see "All" the staff smiling.. this is a good indication that the people who work here are happy about being at the restaurant and stand behind whet they are about to do for you! Our Server came over and introduced himself, as we got to know each other he quickly could tell that I was Food & Beverage and I explained that I was with Hilton for 11years so this opened up all the dialogue and made for a great interaction. We Started our meal with a Bottle of Daou Cabernet ($72) and two apps.. the Bali Bacon ($19) which is thick cut Pork Belly and the Chef's take on Ahi Poke ($28).. Both App's were presented very well.. the Pork Belly was a little on the Dry Side but still tender and flavorful. The Poke had a great balance between Fresh Tuna... Local Mango, and just the right amount of Tartness.. For the main course we knew we could not finish two separate entrees so we shared the Washugyu Ribeye ($84) and a 4oz Lobster Tail (+$24) with Creamed Spinach ($14) and Au Poivre Sauce (+$6).. The Steak was super Tender and well seasoned..just Salt and Black Pepper letting the flavor of the beef do the talking. The Creamed Spinach was not good.. We order Creamed Spinach almost anywhere that serves it because as a Chef its one of those things that is either done really well or a complete mis and well this was really the only fail of the entire meal.. The Dessert menu was surprisingly sparse with nothing on it that stood out defining the end of meal sweets.. so we went with the Creme Brule ($18) and it was what you'd expect from a Hotel Restaurant which was good and disappointing at the same time. We learned that the new Chef de Cuisine has only been on board for a few months and the outlet is still serving the previous CDC's menus. As a Chef I understand how hard it is to have to keep up with the quality of someone elses menu and find the time to develop and implement your own menus somewhere along the way.. We will be adding Bali Oceanfront to our list of must returns, I'd like to see how the new Chef drives an already great restaurant into the future! We'll be back! We came 4 min late to our 8:30am breakfast reservation. Hostess wasn't very warm but our server, Lloyd, made up for that. He was welcoming, kind and attentive. Breakfast was amazing. Highly recommend the fried rice, Portuguese sausage and the Brux gourmet waffle. Kathy, the manager, was so sweet and apologized for delay in seating us and gave us a Malasada to help us celebrate our vacation before our daughter goes away for college.
