What once was a nice place to go eat a pizza and a beer after a kids sporting event has now turned into a disaster. Biggest issue is the staff, primarily the lady in the front with penciled in eye brows. Ordered a pizza at 8:30pm. Got kicked out at 9:05. Lights off, tv's turned off, arcade was closed and they started vacuuming as we finished our pizza. My daughter wanted a scoop of ice cream at 8:50pm, she got turned away and said the cash register was closed. Ten minutes later, they opened the register for one of their homies and purchased another food item. If the owner would like to sell me this pizza spot, I would love to buy it. We ordered a large pepperoni and pineapple pizza for pickup, and it was about $30. We called the order in, and it was super easy. The pizza was ready in about 20-30 minutes, right on time. The cheese is honestly my favorite part -- it's perfectly cheesy without being overly heavy or greasy, which I really appreciate. The toppings are well balanced too; every slice has the right amount, no matter which one you grab. The pizza was a normal large size with eight slices. BallPark Pizza is definitely a splurge for us at that price, but the quality makes it worth it. I also really like how close they are to Rancho Mission Viejo -- it's not a far drive at all, which is a big plus since we don't have many nearby pizza options besides Domino's. Horrible. have no idea why people frequent this place. We were supposed to have team dinner in the private room-which I reserved- and they double booked. Then the staff forced guests sitting at the tables in the general area to move - while they were eating. We would have walked out with our party of 25 - but a few had pre-ordered. Poorly managed. I've been coming to this location for over 20 years, The quality has always been superb, can be a bit pricey but the taste more than makes up for it. The ambience is very welcoming, there's a sense of familiarity you start to get when you visit and the service is always excellent and warming. Ball Park has Always been our go to when we want Pizza. But last week we were having a pizza night with family..so we always pick it up at ball park. Unfortunately we were sooo disappointed. Our pizzas were dry, crust was burnt and so thin, and it was tasteless. I think they forgot the cheese. We will no longer be going here, after spending over $80.00 dollars and threw most of it away. I wanted to order a whole pizza and to see how that tasted and OMG! YES!! Way much better!! This is my third or fourth time coming back here, previously I would just ordered the wings (YOU MUST GET THOSE WINGS). Lunch on weekdays is pretty quite but the atmosphere of the place just a great vibes to hang out with your crew or get pizza after a good game. No matter what it maybe, the food is good but those wings, MAN! I always get it every single time. So today (Thursday) our office had a late lunch since we don't start work until 10am, so the lunch specials ended at 2pm which was fine, gave me the opportunity to order a SMALL (comes in 8 slices), kept it simple toppings Cheese and Pepperoni so I can taste the different from the lunch slice I had before. Ya'll it's WAYYYY better!! What had me going was the crispy crust, how well done it was, crunchy yet you get the cheese pull with those curl up pepperoni. Now I see why this place is popping on games day. From now on, I'm ordering a personal or a small for my crew, ain't going back to those lunch specials even though yes, it's fast, especially if you have a shorter lunch time but it makes a HUGE different. 5 star from me, I just really love the wings and it's a consistent quality ever time that gets me ordering. The San Juan location off Ortega Hwy is the location to avoid. At all costs, use the Laguna location. The location on Ortega has ripped seats, Dirty tables, dirty floors, and if you're ordering food at least 60 minutes to Close...the food is neglected while they clean up. Burnt pizza (charred crust) was served to us while the staff finished cleaning the kitchen. $47 bill and they looked at me like I was crazy when I told them to redo the pizza. read more

My boyfriends favorite pizza place of all time is Ballpark. Every time we go to visit his parents we have to get Ballpark pizza. The pizza really is delicious- we get a classic cheese pizza most of the time but the bbq chicken and the grand slam are also really yummy. And I recommend the salad bar too- the lettuce is always so crisp and there are so many toppings to add! The staff are always so friendly and we love the play in the little arcade while we are waiting. They have a Cruising racing game and air hockey! Was up in San Juan Capistrano for work and came here for some pizzas to treat my clients....they are familiar with Ball Park Pizza and recommended it. I phoned in the order for a Large Double Play, Medium Gladiator, Large Double Pepperoni and finally I did a personal build....Medium with fresh garlic, tomatoes, feta and basil. All of the pizza was good. Everyone was happy and there was plenty of food for all. I went to pick it up and I really liked the place...it's pretty cool inside. They have an arcade and nice bar with plenty of seating and TV's. The staff was nice. Looks like a great family pizza place. I'll definitely be going back and dining out in. I've been going to ballpark pizza since I was a child and frequented the OG rancho santa margarita location. Whenever I'm down south, it's a must for me to get a pizza from ballpark. The nostalgia is worth the 45 minute drive for me. However, this location does not match in quality. I ordered a large cheese and it came out almost raw. Luckily I ate a slice before taking the rest home and asked them to cook it longer. They were kind enough to make me a new pizza "well done" which in my mind was just cooked correctly. The quality was still sub par. See attached photo from the Mission Viejo location and from this location. If you're looking for quality and consistency, order from the Mission Viejo location. Or if you're looking for a nostalgic taste from childhood, you'll be sorely disappointed at the SJC ballpark pizza. read more

You can tell that once upon a time (in 1987) this place was the BEST. They've completely let it run down and all the quarter games were ALL broken. Someone should buy it and revive it because it has such potential - current ownership have run it into the ground. The Pizza and wings were ok but having an entire arcade of broken equipment was really frustrating to try to navigate as a parent. I stopped in here for dinner driving back from Los Angeles on a Saturday evening. The strip mall it was located in was almost deserted except for the one other eatery open. Plenty of open parking and easy access from the freeway. Ordered the small grand slam combo with drinks. The grand slam pretty much much had everything on it. It was a good pizza. The crust was not exactly thin crust but tasty and held well together considering the amount of toppings on it. Staff was friendly. Place has plenty of tables and televisions. They do have a lot of sports paraphernalia. Free refills on soda. They do offer beer and it seems like a nice spot to watch some sports. The Saturday night I dropped in, the place was almost empty. They do have a reserved area off to the side which is separated from main dining room. On the other side, they have a small arcade area with several video games and air hockey. Triple! Not quite a home run! Good pizza with good flavor in sauce and crust. Tons of fresh mushrooms and olives. One of the few west coast pizzas where the crust is worth eating. Also picked up an Antipasto Salad. Lot's of meat in the salad. Total for a medium, and small pizza and the salad was $45. Ordered take out but the interior was typical pizza joint with sports memorabilia and lots of photos of their customers. Had a few arcade games as well to keep the kids entertained. Ball Park it's been the better half of over a decade since I've set foot inside here and it's kinda crazy to see it hasn't changed one bit from when we would go here after little league games! They had a few different speciality pizzas that sounded good but out of them it was all about the Hat Trick ( Go Ducks) the pizza it self was about average but still good and packed with toppings Canadian Bacon, Pepperoni and especially the pineapple. The wings we ordered were pretty average and would have been better had they been a bit spicier but none the less still good and flavorful. They have a few beers on tap here as well as a counter that has ice cream so there's something for you and for the grommets too! They have a pretty big dinning area that had plenty of tables and a good sized game room in the back that was complete with a Terminator game, air hockey table, & Claw Machine. Something kinda cool from back in the 90's when we would come here as kids my friend and I got a Magic Johnson rookie card out of the card machine here super awesome and a great memory! Overall the staff here was nice the pizza was average and it might be a long time again before I pay a visit back to Ball Park but then again you never know where I'll go! read more
