Our food came out quickly and was pretty delicious: hot, tasty, satisfying. We found a table readily though it was busy and I could see later arrivals looking for tables not easy to find. Decent food in an airport? Well color me impressed! I've never had better food in an airport by any measure as far as I can recall. Hot, fresh and served in a timely manner, as it should be in a sit down restaurant in an airport. Even so, I had time to linger before my flight so I was able to enjoy the cool inviting interior for some time. It's also not overly crowded and pretty quiet considering it's next to the gates. I just had simple bacon and scrambled eggs, not expecting much from this place. It is in an airport after all. But the eggs were fresh, and cooked to perfection. The bacon was outstanding and the portion size generous. I will be flying out of Seattle quite a bit in the future, and will remember this place for when I have some time to kill. Who doesn't enjoy a good airport bar!? It's my favorite place to be! The menu was reasonably priced with great small snack options and large plates! This was the first airport bar I've been to in a while where I was impressed at the pricing. The vibe was GREAT! This place was right next to my gate (D11) at SeaTac and it hit the spot. This is literally a dead end gate so there are very few food options nearby. So Ballards was perfect. On great thing is that service is FAST. You can scan and then order fr your table. I had the classic breakfast and my wife had avocado toast and a coffee. I cannot stand having to leave a tip before ordering and paying for food. It is so counterintuitive to what a tip is actually for; excellent service. How do I know what kind of service I'm going to get before I get it? And If I wait to tip cash at end do I get crappy service because the server thinks I'm not tipping? It may be a way to avoid hiring more people but it is impersonal and terrible if you have questions, have a group, or aren't tech savvy. Then, if you can't figure out how to close out your order withing a certain amount of time, they will automatically close you out with a 20% fee added. The place was not very busy when I visited and yet my drink and my food took what I feel was a pretty long time to be delivered to my table.
