I'm not sure why this place has such a low rating; perhaps because it's at the airport where a high volume of stressed travelers is their clientele. Take that for what it is, which is not always a true reflection of what you may experience here. I liked the mainly contactless ordering and our server was prompt with waters then lemonade. Our food came out quickly and was pretty delicious: hot, tasty, satisfying. We found a table readily though it was busy and I could see later arrivals looking for tables not easy to find. We were near the bar which had one loud talker but he eventually left and noise settled down. Worth a visit for a snack! We had chicken strips and fries and I saw nachos go by that looked yummy too! Decent food in an airport? Well color me impressed! I've never had better food in an airport by any measure as far as I can recall. Hot, fresh and served in a timely manner, as it should be in a sit down restaurant in an airport. Even so, I had time to linger before my flight so I was able to enjoy the cool inviting interior for some time. It's also not overly crowded and pretty quiet considering it's next to the gates. I just had simple bacon and scrambled eggs, not expecting much from this place. It is in an airport after all. But the eggs were fresh, and cooked to perfection. The bacon was outstanding and the portion size generous. I will be flying out of Seattle quite a bit in the future, and will remember this place for when I have some time to kill. This was the first airport bar I've been to in a while where I was impressed at the pricing. The vibe was GREAT! Thankfully I had plenty of time to keep waiting. Then my food finally came out and my food was cold! Not only was it cold the fish was extra greasy and missing flavor. It was just overall disappointing. The only thing I enjoyed were the fries and the tiny cup of coleslaw provided. I also saw someone that had arrived and ordered before me that waited much longer than me for a burger. If your in a hurry I don't recommend them at all. This place was right next to my gate (D11) at SeaTac and it hit the spot. This is literally a dead end gate so there are very few food options nearby. So Ballards was perfect. We had breakfast here since we had a flight leaving from D11. They have plenty of seating to at extends outside the restaurant--then more tables nearby if needed. On great thing is that service is FAST. You can scan and then order fr your table. I had the classic breakfast and my wife had avocado toast and a coffee. My breakfast came with eggs (which have to be scrambled), sausage (which could be bacon), toast, and tater tots (which may be an odd choice for breakfast, but I love them. The breakfast was good. Stopped by Ballard at the Seattle airport on November 14, 2025, and it turned out to be a great little layover find. The space feels surprisingly homey for an airport spot, dark, cozy "living room" vibes with football playing in the background. I cannot stand having to leave a tip before ordering and paying for food. It is so counterintuitive to what a tip is actually for; excellent service. How do I know what kind of service I'm going to get before I get it? And If I wait to tip cash at end do I get crappy service because the server thinks I'm not tipping? This restaurant requires you to use a QR code at the table to order. I hate this . It may be a way to avoid hiring more people but it is impersonal and terrible if you have questions, have a group, or aren't tech savvy. And if im doing the work to place my food why am I being asked for a tip? Service was mediocre. Food was ok. Just had quite possibly the worst service of my life, courtesy of Cynthia, who clearly woke up and chose chaos. Rude AF, defensive, and bold enough to lie to my face multiple times. Are you confused or just committed to gaslighting? Then they've got this clown-level rule where if you don't close your tab within 40 minutes, they'll close it for you and throw on a 22% gratuity. So I closed mine, and surprise, it showed as two charges on my end. I asked Cynthia for my receipt and she hands me a completely different table's bill. When I asked for the correct one, suddenly it's "30 minutes to an hour." Really? You can print the WRONG receipt in seconds, but the right one requires NASA-level processing time? I finally talked to someone else who actually knew how to do their job. I made a complaint about Cynthia, and of course she denied everything like she's auditioning for "Professional Liar of the Year." Food and drinks? Bomb. Cynthia? Absolutely not.
