Local pizza joint with horrible service. I actually went to the counter and handed them my glass for a refill. Pizza is good but pasta is not. I would give the pizza 3 stars but the service 0 stars so that is why the 2 stars. They don't deliver far either and if I am going for take out, I choose a better place. It is very loud and full of kids so if you want the kids to run while you wait.......it seems the place for kids to run between tables or under them. read more

I've lived less than a mile from this spot for close to 20 years, off and on, and have only been one other time, many, many years ago. Decided to give it a shot today and was definitely nervous upon arriving and seeing the layout inside. Any place that has a bathroom outside....oh man, watch out ! The last time I used an outdoor bathroom (this one came with a KEY and a pre-emptive apology--I think the waitress caught my expression-- YIKES!) was in Belize and it was downright scary as someone was living in that one when I attempted to enter. Anyhoo--this bathroom, while outdoors, was IMMACULATE and had smokin' hot water, as well as no inhabitants, so maybe I need to re-assess my blanket disgust with outdoor bathrooms. On to the pizza. Not at all disappointing! It has a crispier, oilier crust, nice sheen, (this is a GOOD thing) with decent quality pepperoni and OK cheese. We killed a large pie handily--this is not a "filling" pizza, or what I call a "dinner" pizza, but today, it fit the bill and we were pleasantly surprised. Fellow diners had eggplant and ziti dishes that looked great. Price was right, just at $20 with sodas and tip. Service was very gracious and I'm betting these are newer owners from my last visit. We have ordered take out from Bambino a few times and have enjoyed the pizza but have nothing to rave about. It is not traditional New York style and even ordering well done couldn't bring a crispy crust after deliver. Family friends recommended the restaurant for their ambiance so we hope to try eating in soon. read more

Had a really good time here. It was a friend's birthday & we were a party of 17. Service was great, Shannon did an incredible job! We all shared the mozzarella sticks, Greek salad, & antipasto salad. All delicious! For entrees hubby and I shared the Tequila Sunrise pizza & Italian hoagie (hot), both very good. Everyone else's food looked great. Prices are very reasonable. TERRIBLE SERVICE. Ordered from here the last two times and have sent it back both. Was hung up on from staff when I asked to speak to a manager to just get my food re done. Over cooked. Lack of knowledge . Told me the manager was too busy to speak to me with ONE man in the restaurant. She told me my chicken tenders just look over done because the oil is older. read more

This place has no clue how to treat a customer. This was our first time to Bambino, we live in Ozona and figured one day we would try the famous bambino mit we see advertised. I got the mit and it was decent to OK, I think unnecessarily messy, but not horrible. The problem we had was with my son's roll with meatballs, we got home and started to dig in... hmmm lots of cheese and spinach, but no meatballs, so we called back to talk to the staff. The woman who answered sounded pleasant but has no idea how to treat customers. My son told her he ordered a roll with meatballs and there were no meatballs, she said 'how far have you eaten?" my son said, 'i cut it in half there are no meatballs" she said "they're in there, look more to the right side" my son said "um... what? look to the right side?" she said " yes, they might have melted all to one side" my son, doing as instructed looks further (his roll is now completely opened up) and says back to her "no meatballs", then you could hear the woman calling back to (I guess the cook) "hey did you put meatballs in that spinach roll?" and we hear a "yep", so then the woman back to my son on the phone says "yep, they are in there" and my son says "are they green?" and she says "no, thats the spinach" and my son says "ok thats fine, I dont want to deal with this anymore" and says good bye, the woman says "if you want to bring it back we will replace it" my son "no, thats ok i dont want to deal with this"... a few minutes pass, a call comes into my phone, its the lady calling back, my wife answers it this time she says "i'm really sorry, we made a mistake, we gave you the wrong roll". (LIKE DUH!!!!) and my wife says she will come and get a new one with the meatballs, so she did, and when she got there, my wife said" you know the way you talked to my son was really uncool", the woman said "we made a mistake", my wife said "but you didnt have to treat him like that on the phone, you didnt believe what he said", and the woman said "it wasnt my fault" we get complaints all the time.... my wife said "thats it, you wont see us back here anymore" and left.... This is how NOT to treat a customer, they didnt even offer to do anything like give her a coupon for a free meal or anything, they didnt offer to deliver it to our house. I hope your experience is better than ours.... or better yet maybe they will start treating customers better..... read more

My wife and I were in the area while staying over a couple nights on our way to the Keys. We stayed at a hotel right up the road and stopped here and ordered wings and a couple sandwiches. The restaurant and bathrooms were very clean. Our food was made quickly and we returned to our room. We wanted the wings to hold us over until a little later when we eat our sandwiches. We both agreed immediately that they were some of the best we ever had! They were so good we didn't wait for the sandwiches to make this review! Highly recommend their wings! read more

Staying at a hotel near by, ordered delivery. Was told 45min to an hour, once it got here there was no salad dressing or garlic bread (I asked specifically for garlic bread which she told me was included and asked if I wanted a second serving, guess I should have said yes), and the deserts were still frozen and flavorless. However the entrees were delicious and the salad was pretty good even without dressing. read more

the staff is abrupt but completely friendly and helpful. our glasses were never empty for long and although it can take some time for the food to cook- it's so good each meal must be homemade- it is well worth the wait. there's usually at most three other tables so it's fairly quiet. this is normally where i go after a beach day but it also makes a great spot for a date night and having conversation. it seems very family friendly and family oriented. there is a wide variety of pizzas, calzones, pastas, salads. absolutely wonderful! read more

Always Looking to find a better pizza I tried Bambinos New York style pizza, I found the crust to be soggy and had paid extra for double cheese, and had virtually no cheese just a sprinkle here and there, hopefully someone will come to Dunedin with a great pizza soon. read more

We have been going to Bambino's for years and have always been treated like family. We moved from NE to Dunedin, and right away the waitress (who is the daughter of the owner) made us feel right at home. The food is consistently good and the mom/daughter duo is great. Their lunch deals are really good too, and the pizza, usually is quite good and very cheesy. The daughter, if cooking, makes the best pizza we've had there. I recently visited Bambino Pizza. I am shocked by the nasty reviews! Yes the place is older and not updated to the fine dinning some may be looking for BUT the food is great! It's a little mom and pop kind of a place and the windows allow you to see the pizza makers making your pizza. The waitress was super nice and took our son over so he could see them stretch the dough and watch them make his pizza. She even helped get him to finish his dinner when he didn't want to focus. The ower was very nice, she comes straight to the tables to make sure everything is ok. All in all the place is not fancy but the food, the quality and the staff are very friendly and helpful. I guess some people just like to complain. Funny someone said they use frozen dough when you can clearly see them making the pizza's fresh and stretch the dough in the window going to the kitchen lol read more
