Family was tired of Skip's, Mountain Mike, Round Table, Domino's, Pizza Hut and even Strictly To Go Pizza. Thought about Rocco's but we decided to try Bambino's on Farm Bureau by Willow Pass in Concord. Ordered extra large with half mushroom/green pepper and other half pepperoni/sausage. Crust was ok, very Domino's like regular crust. Large slices. Toppings were ok but certainly not abundant or evenly spread across each half. Nothing special about it except tasting like a Domino's. They have pastas here but I couldn't see their menu on Yelp when we ordered for dinner so we didn't try it. Service was good. Had our order ready to go when we arrived. Maybe this is the place for those needing gluten free pizzas and pasta. I think I'll stick to my New York Pizza. read more

This is one of my favorite places. A local place with a casual vibe. The wait staff is always super friendly and helpful. They have a great beer list and a full bar. Their bread "sticks" are served with incredible garlic butter. Everything is so good I can't pick a favorite-and I've tried a lot! read more

I've been to this place 3 times. All 3 times, we enjoyed the food, which I can go into a bit later. The ambiance, depending on where you sit, can be relaxing or lively. If you sit closer to the bar, it can get loud, but I personally enjoyed the energy. If you sit further away, on the left side of the restaurant, it's more quiet and peaceful, but not bad at all. This could have also been because of the times we went here. The service, when we sat at a table by the bar, was excellent. The waitresses were friendly and approachable, the food arrived quickly, and they were on top of our refills and getting the table cleared. The one time we sat on the left side, perhaps because we sat by the corner, the service was terrible. It took about half an hour for just the water, the appetizers were only somewhat warm, he got things off of the table when asked, but refills (for just water) took a while.The food was still hot when it arrived, but service was slow, overall. I think it could've been an exception to the otherwise excellent service, but If we go again, we'll be sitting closer to the bar, as the service there was incredible both times we sat there. The to-go food, which we've ordered once before, still had the same amount of portions, and was equally delicious. The group favorite was the gnocchi with Alfredo sauce. read more

I've gone here over the years infrequently. We'll I've been coming in more frequently and really enjoying it. The only thing better than the Bambino Special pizza (thin crust), is their staff. Everyone is very helpful, friendly and always smiling. They have a great selection of beer and recommend coming in for NFL football on Sunday and enjoy $5 pints. A great Italian restaurants in the East Bay. Pizza is great, the crust is not soggy which is a plus. Sauce is neutral, and cheese is plentiful. My son liked the chicken parm and the bolognese cream sauce ravioli was very flavorful. Yes its in a strip-mall which I questioned at first glance but the inside is spacious. My favorite find in Concord! Homemade, delicious pizza and salads. I ordered take out and I was so pleased to get a pizza that wasn't shiny with oils, but still gorgeous! Wanted to try this place for the first time and the person taking the order on the phone sounded like they didn't know the menu and didn't speak clearly, just heard mumbling (the background noise was clearer). I then asked what were my options for pastas and they didn't know what was available. Because of this, it wasn't a good first experience. We had no idea what we were walking into - but the food here is very good! We're glad we found this place. A younger me would've come here with friends and watched the games on the big screens in here, with all the finger food and entrees this place has to offer. Definitely check it out! The teenage servers stand around a lot. We were the only customers seated in the dining room. We were given menus, not offered anything else. Decided and placed our menus aside. Sat and talked for about ten minutes. Another couple came in, so that's two couples in a rom of 20 tables with 3 servers standing behind the counter who are socializing...the new couple are given menus and a minute later the server returns and asks to take their order, walks right past us to the counter and starts chatting again. Her coworker walks out and I'm thinking she's GOT to come take our order because the first signal we were ready (and they can plainly see us in a room full of no one and I can see exactly what they're doing this entire time through the mirrors) was when we put the menus down, the second signal was obviously when the second couple had their order taken first...nope, she walked past us and in the back. Walked in for a late lunch. Very warm welcoming from the staff and was told to sit anywhere. The staff made me and my partner feel very welcomed. Water was brought over, and then the server explained some things on the menu and took our drink orders. The food came out quick. There was a slight problem with the food but the staff immediately rose to the occasion and took care of the issue. Overall the place is clean, and great for family gatherings and small parties. They have a full bar and good drink specials. The staff is friendly and polite. Would definitely recommend the pizza here. read more

I tried Bambino's twice and had the same dish twice it was spaghetti with Gorgonzola The first time it was the best spaghetti I ever had in a restaurant the second time I tried it I think they used blue cheese in place of Gorgonzola it was bland and very disappointing. read more

Our family has loved Bambinos for years. Best pizza in Concord. I didn't think we could love them more, but yesterday we brought our disabled adult daughter there for lunch. We were so pleased and impressed to see they had 2 very sweet young disabled people helping them. These special kids checked on us several times, answered our questions perfectly and were just very pleasant and polite in general. As parents of a disabled child, it meant so much to us that our favorite pizza place is open to working with disabled people. We will be letting other special needs parents know about this and will make a point to frequent them as often as possible. Thank you Bambinos. read more
