We ordered the seafood jambalaya pasta which was delicious and fresh. I also ordered a small pizza which was unbelievably good !!! We came at a time when it was very slow so our server was very attentive and the food came out pretty quick . The pizzas may seem pricey but a small is definitely enough for two people and we still had left overs to take with. I also had a margarita which was great. We have been meaning to try this place for a while since it is relatively close to my kids' gym. I needed food after picking them up on a Thursday night so I called in an order to go. They did have some tables set up in front for dining in for those that would prefer to eat there. I ordered a large Bambino's favorite (pepperoni, sausage, salami & mushrooms) & carbonara rigatoni (subbed spaghetti pasta & added mushrooms. My order was ready at pick up and I was in and out. Total came to about $46. The pizza was tasty, the kids liked it so I will put this in the rotation. The pasta needed improvement. I love carbonara with bacon, mushrooms & peas. This one only comes with bacon so I added mushrooms and opted for a spaghetti pasta instead of rigatoni. The sauce was thick and the pasta over cooked so it was a little mushy. Bacon was fatty and needed to be crisp. The flavor was good but again sauce too thick and clumped my pasta because it was over cooked. I think I'll stick to the pizza, but always searching for the perfect carbonara and this wasn't it. read more

Hubby and I had a wonderful dinner here just now. We ordered pizza, wings, beers and we got complimentary breadsticks with garlic butter. Our waitress did an excellent job. Normally we frequent another pizza place but decided to give this place a try as it's closer to home. Each time we looked at our waitress, she was looking at us in complete anticipation of us needing something. Wonderful service. Saying that their subs tasted like cardboard would be an affront to all varieties of cardboard, everywhere. We ordered both the meatball and chicken parm subs and although the meatballs were enormous, both subs (and their accompanying bolognese) were unbelievably bland. What a surprise, I'm one of the few Yelpers who *didn't* give this place either a 4 or a 5. Well, I can't speak for anyone but myself, and I can give impressions that my wife and kid gave, so here goes. Our second time here. First time was the lunch buffet, second time was a dinner pizza. I wasn't impressed either time. The buffet had about as much selection as Mountain Mike's, and that's pretty bad. I don't think the selection included cheese only, which kids like the best (mine certainly does). For dinner, the menu lists some combos that make your eyes widen and your mouth water. Too bad the reality is a thin, hard-crusted, salty pie. We've had only pizza here, I can't speak to the pasta or calzones. If we eat here again and have those, then I'll update my review. Kid zone in the side space, lots of games. The main portion has a small bar and TVs to watch the game. So basically, it's a neighborhood hangout, much like its neighbor Digger's Diner. Most pizza I've had is better than Bambino's. If Zachary's or Goat Hill are out, then Round Table is a better choice, and Skipolini's is even better than that. read more

This is my favorite pizza spot in Concord for both dine in and takeout. We came here one evening and sat at the bar for happy hour. The bartender lady was quick and attended to us right away. The beer is so cold and really refreshing especially with some of there fried wings. The wings have a little spice to it same with the bbq sauce that comes on the side. The pizza I always tend to get is the bambino favorite it comes with salami, sausage, pepperoni and mushrooms it is really good. The dough is so soft and the crust is perfect not too thick and not to thin. I also always get the cheese tortellini with the gorganzo sauce omg it is to die for the sauce has spinach and tomatoes in it, I suggest trying it out. I've had delivery from this place and they are always on time and the food comes hot and fresh. Not like most delivery places where the food sometimes isn't as fresh. So 5 stars for Bambinos for the great flavorful food and fast service. The workers there are always so nice and seem so happy. read more

This is a review of the pasta carbonara, not their pizza, so if you're looking for a pizza review, this ain't it, move on, although I found their pizza to be good flavored, but with WAAAY too much crust. The carbonara was very good and flavorful, BUT the pasta used was rigatoni, which is too smooth to hold the sauce; a better pasta shape would be ROTINI, which has a lot of ridges to hold sauce. Other than that, the only thing I might suggest would be the addition of peas, to add some color to an otherwise colorless dish, although peas might be frowned upon by carbonara traditionalists. All in all, this "diner" serves up some really flavorful carbonara, and a LOT of it too. Service was top notch. read more

Good place if you are looking for some drinks and pizza late in the evening. Staff are nice and knowledgeable. But I must talk about this one incident I had at my very first visit at this place - We were sitting at the bar, ordered some pizza and enjoying our tall beers while the people next to us were making fun of the #metoo movement. A joke of particular notice was how # was called pound before, and they laughed a lot about the "pound me too" movement. I lost my appetite after hearing that. I made some comment loud enough so that they can hear my response to that and left soon after. I am ashamed that these kind of people lives in my neighborhood. read more

My co-worker and I had to go to Concord to meet with some workers from another agency. After our quick visit, we landed at this small plaza on Willow Pass Road. In the plaza, there are four active food venues; a 7-11, a Mexican grocery store, a diner I wanted to try, but closed for the Fourth of July weekend (Digger's Diner) and this Italian/Pizza restaurant, in which we ate for lunch. The restaurant sells pizza by the slice for $2.00 per slice. The pizza was a Pepperoni and cheese. My co-worker had 3 slices and an endless refill of Pepsi. The slice of pizza may be good and affordable, but I'm not a pizza-eater. So I ordered one of the lunch specials: the Grilled Chicken Sandwich meal. The $6.50 meal has a thick chicken breast grilled nicely with melted mozzarella cheese and lettuce on a toasted Kaiser-roll. The cool waiter told me the restaurant was out of tomato. No big thing, I dislike tomatoes in my sandwich anyway, and it happens to worked out perfectly. My pretty good size sandwich was very tasty with the gooey melted mozzarella cheese and the grilled chicken. My meal also comes with a side of spaghetti and marinara sauce. This is a local favorite of ours- have had many dinners; birthday/team parties here with always a yummy experience. However, this time our pizza was super soggy literally dripping grease through the pizza box. I called to let them know and was told the kitchen said to bring back the pizza and they will make another one. Mind you it's dinner time, I have hungry kiddos and I am not driving across town to bring back a soggy pizza to have to wait for them to make another. Perhaps a rain check would have been a nice offer or the next time we order the pizza is on them. Just a "sorry" was relayed to me. I'll have to think twice about ordering a next time. I love bambino's pizza. Some of the pastas are great too. The one gripe I have is that when you eat in and get bread with your meal. It does not come with butter but some type of oily margarine. My mother said it tasted like the "butter" oil at the movies people put on popcorn. Its just gross. Makes me wonder if they even use real butter for their cream sauces?? Grrr! I sprain my ankle today so I need pizza delivered. I live maybe a block away so I'm expecting pretty quick service. Order one pizza and some cheese bread. Well... 1.5 hours later, still no food. We call the restaurant who claims to have lost our order and is arguing with us about doing online orders, even though I called in to place the order and they already charged my card. They didn't seem to care that my good hasn't arrived and they couldn't even tell me when they thought I would get it. All they could say was, we can't find your order in the system, and it's not sitting here, so delivery must have grabbed it. That was all. Almost two hours later, pizza arrives. Then the biggest disappointment of all... see the attached cheese bread. Are you kidding me?! Ugh... so disappointed. A casual pizza sports bar in a cramped parking lot off Farm Bureau. I came here for takeout after learning the new Peruvian place next door refuses orders to go. The place was pretty busy with diners and pizza phone orders but I got quick service at the bar. I ordered a small (12 inch) Bambino's combo pizza, the Fruitri de Mare pasta, and Bambino salad. All portions are generous and they threw in two pieces of hot, chewy bread. The pizza was nice - thin chewy crust with good toppings, with the pepperoni bordering on being over seasoned. They have excellent mushrooms and the right amount of cheese and sauce as to not overpower. For the price the quality was pretty good. The Bambino salad was great and easily serves two. It's not often you have large thin slices of salami in a salad but it works here - along with mushrooms and slices of green peppers and tomatoes. The pasta was a bit of a letdown, with the pasta being a bit overcooked and soggy from excess sauce. They had a few pieces of good sized shrimp but small pieces of scallops and clam meat. Overall, a nice local place to get a decent pizza and salad for the price. Quality is probably lower than Memo's in Pleasant Hill, but still not too shabby! read more

I checked out their website through their google listing and my husband read the menu on yelp. After both browsing the menu we decided upon the bambino special which is listed as, Cheese,mushrooms, pepperoni, Italian sausage, salami. The first time we ordered we got a completely different pizza but didnt feel like complaining so we left it alone. The pizza was a little soggy but good enough. Well we decided to give it another try tonight and again ordered the bambino special and again got a completely different pizza and soggy. We checked the website and the yelp menu and sure enough we werent mistaken. When my husband called in about the mistake we were told that we went to the wrong website and that we should have ordered the bambino favorite which is the pizza we actually got both times according to their website and yelp menu. Not sure how they mixed all this up but upon further investigation a photo on yelp of their menu does show that they have these pizzas switched for some reason. They must never update their website or yelp and people must not ever find them online if they are unaware of this huge mistake. If you do order from them make sure you confirm which pizza you are actually ordering and ask them for a crust that isnt soggy. read more

Been going here since November of 2018 and I haven't had a bad meal yet. Great location but parking can suck during peak hours. Very good customer service.
