I always do take out when I order from here and everything is always very warm and fresh!! I'm so happy I decided to give it a try! I always order the noodles with tofu and veggies and I can't get enough! It's perfect if you're vegetarian /vegan and great on a cold day! If I could give this place 3.5 stars, I would. The only knock on this place is the fact that each time I go back, the attention to service gets slightly worse. To be even more specific, the last four times I went and ordered Pho and asked for no Cilantro, thrice I received my Pho with Cilantro. It might sound somewhat like I'm nit-picking, but fishing out little pieces of Cilantro is somewhat annoying. Out of all the food spots in Simi Valley, Bamboo Cafe is about one of the only places that truly deserves a 5 star rating. Anything you get from here is amazing and healthy! The staff is awesome and remembers me! They always have a family vibe there and it just makes me want to come back as much as I can to support these people and what they do. Pho soups are spot on in ingredients and flavors. Salads and sauces are on par with high end Thai restaurants. Thai tea (Boba if u choose it) is made with Alta Dena half n half. Really tasty stuff. I went to Bamboo Cafe for the first time tonight and the service was fantastic! We were immediately seated and presented with our menus, along with ice water. We ordered and our food came within ten minutes and it was delicious! Worth every penny. The waiters/waitress were very attentive and checked in on us frequently. This is the best place in Simi Valley. The shrimp pho is to die for! We went to another pho place in town, and Bamboo was 1000% better. I've been going to this place for years, they're always amazing. There is a lot of Vietnamese restaurants around this area and I've tried them all, this one if definitely my favorite. The Spicy Beef Pho is incredible and without a doubt my favorite Pho I've had so far. But wait! Don't just get the Pho! Their entrees are probably my overall favorites. The pork and grilled shrimp, the lemongrass chicken, everything is outstanding and comes in a huge portion and only about $8. Recently I've discovered their Ban-Mi sandwiches which are probably a better deal than their entrees. Overall this place has amazingly large portions for very cheap. Their menu is very small but that's a good thing because everything on it is great. You also gotta try the Honey Dew Boba. read more
