Bamboo Restaurant was an absolute delight! The atmosphere was so cozy and inviting, with a beautiful aesthetic that made me feel instantly at ease. I did what I knew was wrong, ordered between 3-5pm. I suspect the good cooks are on breaks between " rush" so the Dishwasher did the cooking. Also, this place serve sushi etc . Porkchop was burnt. Fried buns was burnt Fried banana was gross Grubhub issued a refund but that did not make up for having to order other food. This was place has the worst customer service. I want to report abuse and misconduct. I was served food and the man who served me gave me my bill back and dropped change literally in my food. He didn't compensate for the whole meal only half. I was so upset and went to use the restroom and mistakenly forgot to lock the door. He opens the door with force and I close the door to lock it. I come out and told him that whoever had courtesy should always knock before entering he didn't. I said you have the worst customer experience ever. I called him an asshole. I was a little leery because it seemed so small, but when I opened the door, I was pleasantly surprised! It was cozy but very welcoming and well decorated. I had the orange chicken on the combination plate and my husband had the sweet and sour pork. They were both so well spiced, freshly cooked, and served piping hot! The house soup and egg rolls were very good too, and I had the crab rangoon which was not some made from frozen thing but was obviously handmade and was so good. The sauces were especially nice. I I'm not sure why this has low stars. I have been ordering from them for years.I love their Chow Fun and all of their vegetarian options.

The food was excellent, the Honey Walnut Prawns and General Chao's Chicken come second to none. The Crab Rangoons are also something that is a necessity for the table. As far as the service Eddy goes about and beyond to make sure everyone is having a good time, whether it's hyping us up to drink Sauke bombs or singing with us in his karaoke machine he's always making you feel special. The ambiance is great super fun, inexpensive and great food for a simple date night. Ordered this off Relish for lunch, and it appears the options available on Relish are only a small part of the entire menu. I ordered the honey walnut prawn rice plate. Very good honey walnut shrimp - still crunchy by the time it arrived at the office! While the taste is great, I am taking a star off for the value. This was $13.50 before taxes on the app and the portion is quite small. Pretty pricey for something so small. It's near the busy intersection where the California Street cable car nears its terminus, and there are loads of eateries in the area. Somehow I just never tried Bamboo and was never really tempted until I stopped and looked at their menu in the window. I saw they made one of my faves, the $10.95 Buddha's Delight. Went to Dine-in and was pleasantly surprised. The food was really good: Crab Rangoon, Spicy Eggplant, Salt and Pepper Fish, Combination Chow Mein. Probably my favorites being the fish and the eggplant, so flavorful! Everything came out promptly and the portions were pretty good too. Service was quick and attentive. The interior was recently renovated so it's pretty nice, it's on the smaller size but it adds to the coziness! We had unlimited sake bombs along with a bunch of different food options. They brought us honey walnut shrimp, potstickers, egg rolls, some kind of sweet and sour fried chicken, edamame, & more. The sound system was great with two mics and music control so we could play our favorite songs and MC the event! They were very happy to have us there & were very accommodating.
