And they are open again as of me writing this, 5/31/20! It seemed like everyone was getting sandwiches next door and then coming to Bambu for desserts, haha. I got the #2 dessert, the combination. The bf got #6 with all of the fruits. I love the #2 because it has many different textures, with red and white beans, pandan jelly, mixed jellies, boba, taro, coconut milk, and shaved ice on top. They also ask if you want the shaved ice on top which is odd because you usually eat it with the ice, but it's nice that they ask. I thought the dessert was good as usual, maybe a bit sweeter than I remember, and a bit more red beans than I would have liked. The shop is very clean, and they have markings on the ground to make sure that people are 6 feet apart while inside. It was quiet when we went, so there was no issue with that. Overall, I'm glad I had my Bambu craving satisfied finally! read more

My favorite place to go! I get the same order of #1 everytime I go, because truly it's the best flavor!! It has coconut pulp, coconut juice, basil seeds, and one more jelly! It is so refreshing and tastes straight out the pulp. Perfect sweetness. I've also tried #4 which is probably the Avocado drink, but don't get it. I was surprised it came out as guacamole. It didn't taste good and was too think, I really didn't understand this drink at all. read more

I got to finally try Bambu from the kindness of a friend. Looking at the menu, the Bambu Favorite caught my eye. This drink was sooo good. The jellies are great: red tapioca, grass jelly and pandan jelly. The pandan jelly was probably my favorite. I'm excited to try more drinks here. read more

Came here before going to a wedding. My dad and i both got the #6 fruit addicts. The person who help with our order asked us if we wanted ice, i told them that i wanted little ice but still ended up getting a lot of ice. Anyways, after we place order, we got a drink really quick. Probably within a minute or two. The fruit addict che is usually good. Cost around $7. read more

I use to go to this place all the time when they first opened. I haven't been here in years and remember when this place only accepted cash lol. Came on a busy Sunday while waiting to eat at one of the restaurants near by. I am glad to see they now take debit cards which is most convenient as I rarely carry cash. My go to has always been the #10 bambu dessert and has always tasted the same each time which is a good thing. All of their other drinks are just as good and refreshing. It's a cute spot to hang out and sip on some fresh drinks. I would recommended this place. read more

Yummm it was sooo good! I got the avocado smoothie with boba. It was rich and creamy and will fill anyone up. It also had a nice balance of sweetness which was a plus. The boba had a nice chewy and sweet texture that was prefect. Sooo good! I've tried most of their drinks in their Stockton location as well and would definitely recommend their most popular Che: #6 (?) I believe. Lol The decoration isn't as colorful compared to the one in Stockton but hey, at least they make delicious smoothies and desserts! Overall, I would definitely come back! My go to for Vietnamese desserts! They offer a variety of drinks (milk teas, fresh fruit teas, sea salt teas, coffee drinks... etc). You can opt to have ice in the drink or separate. This is a cool hangout place for all ages. There were several family there enjoying their drinks and catching up. A couple of guys were outside enjoying the beautiful weather and the yummy drinks. My bf loves this location. They make his favorite coffee here. Half the time I order coffee without ice so we can have them at a later time during our late shift. The bathroom is really clean which is a plus. U believe you can tell a lot about an establishment by the bathroom! read more

A satisfying dessert/shave ice on a hot summer day. Popular hang out place for school/college kids. Fast service! We ordered #4 and #6 with ice on the side so we can add to our liking. I enjoy coming to BAMBU! The drinks are delicious! So much flavor and fruits :) I always come to Bambu after I eat BC. I only come across 2 cons about coming here and that is 1) USED TO BE CASH ONLY! 2) Their hours close early as 8pm! Now, they accept cards and still their hours close early as 8pm. Lol! This BAMBU spot makes a great late night run. The best drink to order is #10. So much flavor! I want to try other flavors but #10 taste so good! Highly recommend. I've come across their website and seen they have a top 10 recommended drinks. I love to try their Salted Caramel next. I am disappointed the other location closed in Davis... but this makes it a great trip to Sacramento. Highly recommend this place for desserts. I have been going to Bambu for several years without any problems. My 14 year old son went in today and asked for two avocado smoothies, which we have bought numerous times in the past. When he gets our order and hands it over to me, I notice it's not the smoothie. I went inside and asked them to correct our order, and the female cashier said that my son had ordered the smashed avocado. She wouldn't replace the smashed avocado with the smoothie. I immediately walked out, shaking my head and throwing the drinks in the garbage. I will NEVER go here again. Absolutely bad customer service. I'm sure another local business would be happy to have us as a regular customer that pays $14 a week in their Boba spot. read more

I was just here. I understand you guys close at 4 PM on Sunday. You locked my minor children (ages 12 and 8 inside) and wouldn't let me inside! This is NOT okay. I was banging on the door. My 8 year old was on her iPad messaging me that you wouldn't let her out! I know you know this happened because I told the woman who unlocked the door my kids were inside! Whenever I come here, there's always a line. This time wasn't too bad since it was on a weekday. There was only one cashier and she was very patient. The party ahead of me were being very picky and arguing who's gonna pay. It was so awkward! Anyways when it was my turn, the cashier apologized for the wait. She did everything herself, from taking your order, filling toppings in the cups, hand the cups to the back, etc. They really need more workers! My default here is #13, taro with pandan jelly. It was good. I've never really had a bad experience here. Good decent Vietnamese desserts. Prices are ok. Parking sucks though! But good thing they do have parking spots. read more

Okay, so I love bambu a lot. Especially their iced hazelnut coffee w or without boba. Today I decided to try out their honeydew yogurt. Rlly good, reminds me of the sữa chua i get in Vietnam. My gosh, I haven't had bambu for years especially since the pandemic started... had lunch in the plaza earlier today then was craving some bambu. I usually order the #10 whenever I go to bambu, and let me tell you... it's just as good as I remembered it to be. Sometimes I also order their avocado smoothie with jelly inside if my sweet tooth isn't kicking in. I like that they have a variety of che options depending on which toppings you want. They used to be cash only for most or all locations, but they take card now!! And they have five stars for current and future members. :) read more

I've been coming to this Bambu for yrs and it still does not disappoint! I gave it a 4 stars because I need answers. Why does number 10 look like chocolate milk? I forgot to take a pic of mine because it was so good I finished it fast. Number 10 used to look clear like cocomilk and ice, is it because of the grass jelly that darkened it? When I first tried this place it, the che wasn't sweet enough for me. Luckily they changed it up where you can adjust your sweetness level and now it's perfect. Staff is always welcoming and they play good music. Nice place to get some refreshing dessert read more

I've heard good things about this tea spot and that this is the nearest location in Sacramento for miles. When I arrived it was around 10am on a Saturday morning, was not as busy with about 5 people inside and a few sitting at the outside table. The location was exceptionally clean and looked brand new as if they had just opened. Thought I'd go with something simple so I ordered the Passion fruit juice with lychee as my topping and my sister ordered a cold non milk tea. When our drinks came out, they had given my sister the wrong drink so we had to wait an extra 5 minutes for the correct drink to be remade. Passion fruit juice was very flavorful and I got the standard sweetness, nothing extra. Was sister was left unsatisfied with her drink. Had this once back in Garden Grove,CA. Nice surprise to see there was a location up here. I've on my tried the Bambu Special (#1) and Bambu Combo (#2) only. Get the #1 if you want something more refreshing and fruity or get #2 if you want something more heavy/creamy. read more

I ordered the Banafe (banana cream) and a Saigon Coffee. The first thing I noticed when I picked them up was how much ice was in both drinks. The Banafe had a tasty cream topping, but the drink itself was just okay. I give it about a 6/10. I was most excited for the Saigon Coffee since it's one of their best sellers. I ordered it with light ice and extra sweet, but it still came with a lot of ice and didn't taste sweet at all. It ended up being pretty disappointing compared to what I was expecting. Maybe it was just an off day, but based on this visit, I don't feel like it lived up to the hype. I'd be willing to give it another try in the future, but my first experience was underwhelming. For nearly $15 in drinks, I expected a lot more flavor and a lot less ice. Nice atmosphere and easy ordering process, but the drinks didn't live up to the expectations.

The staff are all super nice and I love how customizable the drinks are. The tea aroma as you walk in is very inviting to me. I normally don't get cheese foam but they were doing a BoGo so I gave it a try with a colleague. It really hits different when you reach the end of your sweet drink and then a salty creamy foam taste enters. Actually made me want more of the foam! App is convenient for orders since the parking lot is small and hard to find parking. Afternoons especially on a weekday when students go. Follow their Insta to stay in the loop on promotions :)

She finished the whole drink and felt like it wasn't caffeinated enough. She was still tired after drinking milk tea. They have croffles now! The vegetables that were provided were celery and carrots. Sides of ranch were served which went well with the popcorn chicken and vegetables. The Mango Cloudy drink was refreshing. It was made with a lot of mango so it was very flavorful and sweet. There were bits of mango at the bottom that were tasty! Service was good as the workers were friendly. It was very unfortunate that the menu falsely advertised the selection of any drink but when ordering on the kiosk there were additional charges for certain drinks.

My only recommendation is cutting down the strawberries into smaller chunks; they look appealing on the outside but don't contribute as much to the flavor as the peach does. Also, it would be neat to have strawberry bits small enough to sip on. Bonus points for the minimalistic zen atmosphere. I can tell that this place wants to resemble more of a break stop with a bakery rather than a boba shop, which makes sense given that they sell a wide variety of desserts. I'd recommend coming here for a solo study session.

As a long-time customer of Bambu, I've always loved their Number 1 Special for its perfect blend of longan, coconut meat, pandan jelly, basil seeds, and coconut water. It's a refreshing and delicious drink that's perfect for beating the heat on a hot summer day. However, I was disappointed during my most recent visit to Bambu to find that the portion of fruit in the drink was no longer as generous as it used to be and they went down a size yet still charges almost twice as much than before. While the drink still tasted good, I felt like I was getting less value for my money. I understand that the cost of ingredients and other factors may have played a role in the change in portion size, and I hope that they'll find a way to bring back the more generous portions that I've come to love. One thing that has always impressed me about Bambu is their fast and efficient service. Every time I visit, I'm amazed at how quickly they're able to take my order and prepare my drink. Overall, Bambu is still a great spot for anyone looking to enjoy a refreshing fruit drink. While I was a bit disappointed with the smaller portion of fruit in my drink, I still enjoyed the flavors and appreciate Bambu's efforts to provide tasty drinks to their customers. read more
