*First time experience review/my opinion may be unpopular but it's mine* I ordered a 9inch grilled pork bahn mi on baguette with pate and an iced viet with condensed milk. Service was fast and friendly. My coffee is a great size for the price and it tastes great. My bahn mi is fine but I prefer my usual place. The pork didn't taste grilled at all unlike my fav spot actually grills their meat. The baguette reminds me of Publix sub bread. Overall, everything tastes good but since I'm already accustomed to a particular taste of the meat and texture of the bread. To be frank, I wouldn't put it in my top 5 and don't necessarily have to return. read more

Disappointing. I had to fast all day for a med appt and thought I can finally, after 6 hrs, go get a Bahn mi at this spot everyone says is the best. I wanted a veg Bahn mi...and they were out of tofu. Not the end of the world and they were apologetic but dang I was hungry. It's been a while since I've been here. I came by after dinner. It is so late in the day, most of the pastries and pies were sold out. She went to the back to get Ernie's Nutella pie. One of the best banh mis I've ever had! I've had a lot of Vietnamese food being from LA and having lived in DC - I would have never guessed that my best banh mi would be in Jacksonville of all places! I almost always get the same thing: the grilled pork banh mi. The pork is sweet and tender. They bake their own bread fresh daily and it is excellent. I've also had their PHO - it's amazing. Lots of great drink options - I really like their lemonade; they also have a great Vietnamese coffee. Friendly service - you order at the counter and they bring it to your seat. They could do a better job cleaning tables but there are so many available that it's fine. A casual restaurant, good with any group size. Can't wait to come back. read more

I have not been here before, but decided to stop and try a croissant, after 20 mins of waiting in the drive through for the crème brûlée croissant I went in and they keep making excuses, after about another 10 minutes, I demanded a refund, but at this time they had completed the order so I just accepted it, but while they packing my order, the two ladies behind the counter, began to argue and accuse each other. This place seems chaotic and extremely unprofessional and I will not visit again. read more

I ordered Pho from here via Uber Eats. I'm a frequent user of Uber Eats and have dealt with various packing methods. Banh Mi's packing was by far one of the best I've experienced. Take out Pho usually has all the "fixings" in a separate box. One item I usually get is the rare steak. They included the rare steak in the box with the other items (as all other places tend to do), but in a baggie! The ingredients were so organized in the box. It sounds silly to say, but I was in awe! lol. The broth was in the typical plastic container. The sauce they included what seemed to be hoisin, roasted garlic, and maybe sriracha. I've never had one with roasted garlic before and it was really good. The Pho overall was amazing! Not very good food at all. The fluffy pancake was not fluffy at all. It was actually very dense. However, the Matcha sauce on it was nice. The croissant bread was very dry and stale. Their spring rolls are not traditional spring rolls at all! There were no shrimp in them. They were just filled with cold cut meats they use in the banh mi sandwiches. read more

I've come here several times and have always had a good experience. Food was fresh and flavorful. However, tonight I ordered my food over an hour in advance and had to wait an additional 30 minutes for my sandwich and drink to be prepared. And to make matters worse, there were three hairs wrapped up into my sandwich and you can see in the picture how embedded these hairs were. To my horror, as I opened the sandwich for further inspection, I noticed several other black and white hairs wrapped in. There is no way that these were not noticed when preparing. I'd recommend some improvements in quality control. Sadly this experience really grossed me out, I had no dinner and I'm concerned about returning! read more

We took a day trip down to Jacksonville when we paid my sister-in-law and her family a visit in Savannah, GA and we were told this place had really good banh mi. Hubs is a stickler when it comes to these sandwiches but we were excited to try. We did a drive thru order for a 12" special combo and 12" lemongrass beef - we were pretty impressed (and my husband is pretty hard to please sometimes, lol). The woman taking care of us was so kind and we're so big on service. The beef in my sandwich was flavorful, moist and had the perfect meat-to-veggie ratio. Hubs really liked the amount of meat in his and we regret not grabbing one for the road that night when we drove back to Savannah, GA. We don't live too far away, and plan to visit Jacksonville again. We can't wait to stop by and eat in. read more

The banh min was good. We ordered the beef one and the pork one. I preferred the pork and my husband preferred the beef. Great flavors and enjoyed the pickled veggies. The pho was very disappointing. The broth was tepid and bland and not flavorful at all. I had expected more from the prior reviews. We also ordered a roll which was fine. My friend and I ordered the banh mi sandwiches to-go and deconstructed. They have a special when you buy five, you get one free. We got four lemongrass beef and one grilled pork. They packed the pickled radish, carrots, jalapeño and cilantro in separate bags so the sandwiches don't get soggy. When I got home, I put them together and it was very tasty. They were not courteous and murmered under their breath. When I walked in it smelled like urine and I had to back and asked for napkins they made me retrieve myself. Small portions and false prices! Good casual Vietnamese bakery and cafe. They have a drive thru so you can pick up drinks and pastries to go.. they also have banh mi and pho too! I had to try the pho and while the broth wasnt as rich and beefy as I would like it was good. I also tried the banh mi but on a croissant bun. I came here for a hot bowl of their pho dac biet, banh mi thit nuong and pate chaud. This place reminds me of home in socal (little saigon in garden grove). it's mainly a bakery that serves fresh bagettes and pastries, but its a pleasant surprise that they also serve a pho bo with a couple beef slice options. Been here 3 times now, and I usually just go with the pho dac biet (all the meats), banh mi thit nuong (grilled pork), plus or minus a pate chaud (pork) if I'm craving it. I was really looking forward to the Brisket Pho because I had been in many times for the French pastries which were all quite good except for a bit on the pricey side. Made me go back a good few times so they must have been good. But the Brisket Pho was terrible. I was so disappointed all all it was, was fat. I won't be going back even for the pastries. I'll find a place where the cooks or whoever prepares the dishes value their customers a bit more by serving decent meat. read more

We are are banh mi family and super thrilled to have found an AWESOME banh mi sandwich shop within reasonable driving distance. We ordered the #1, Jax Signature. You can order various sizes, which was super cool, since I usually have to order 2 for myself. So I just ordered their 12" for myself, and a couple 6" sandwiches for the rest of the family. The bread was warm, which is something we are not used to, and the ingredients had some other surprises that I could not identify, but happily consumed. We've frequented this joint a few times when it was previously called Paris Banh Mi Cafe. They changed the name but kept the same owners. I loved their banh mis originally but sadly, they changed the bread. The bread was perfectly delicious, crunchy, and buttery before but now it's missing that crunch element and is smaller. I understand as the previous type of bread was from the previous franchise, but if they can somehow bring it back, it would be perfect! The fillings are still just as good and I'm happy about that! The customer service has always been great and the store is clean but the bathroom could be a little cleaner. I think the mop water they use is old because every time I use the bathroom, it smells like mildew. My favorite banh mi sandwich is the Jamon which has cured meats, pate, aioli, pickled veggies, fresh cilantro, and fresh jalapenos. I love how fresh everything is! The crisp veggies with the sauces and meat creates such a wonderful umami flavor that is unmatched! Their other sandwiches are great too but I always come back to this one because my mother always made me this kind growing up! I would give this a 9/10 based on flavor alone. Since they revamped their menu, we decided to try their fluffy pancakes and got the matcha flavored one. The critique I have of this is that it shouldn't be called fluffy pancakes because the "fluffy pancakes" themselves is more of a castella cake-like texture. We've had fluffy pancakes before from other restaurants and these are not as similar. The warm, matcha sauce on top is delicious and has a very great matcha flavor Are they good? Yes, they're delicious but to call them "fluffy pancakes" when it's more of a castella cake, is pushing it. I'm not sure if they make them in house but it seems like it's store brought somewhere. I would rate this about a 6.5 because I really love the flavor. I appreciate that their Vietnamese iced coffee always is consistent as it's one of my favorite items on their menu. I usually get it with tapioca and if you never had Vietnamese iced coffee before, just a warning, it's very strong. It's brewed using the French press method so you get all of the bold flavors. The coffee used is chicory based as well. They combine the coffee with condensed milk for that touch of sweetness. I give this a 9.0/10. It's always my go to drink order from here. Overall, one of the better Vietnamese banh mi places around JAX. They have pho on their menu now so I'm definitely going to come try it and come back with an updated review. Had driven by Paris Bánh Mì a few times but finally made it to give them a try. Paris Bánh Mì is located in the same building that the on Krystal's on Saint John Bluff was, clearly a great upgrade but they did keep the drive through which is nice. When first looking at the menu I was wowed by the price. $7.95 for most Bánh Mì you can't beat that now a days. I got the Grilled Pork Bánh Mì which came with the the typical Bánh Mì toppings. I will stay it was so flavorful. Each bite better then the next. The baguette was fresh, crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. I can't get over how good the grilled pork was too. It was so rich and savory and the fresh veggies and other toppings really pulled it all together. I also got to try the Pate Soi or Pork Bun which was also very good. I had a hint of sweetness with the savory and saltiness of the pork all came together so well. Will for sure be coming back to Paris Bánh Mì to get more affordable and delicious food. read more

I have come here multiple times and they never disappoint! This is my go to place for boba tea in the area since they have a drive through. I don't think any other boba place in the area has a drive through so that's a huge plus for me! I have tried almost every boba milk tea flavor and taro is by far my favorite. During lunch, the drive thru service can be a little bit slow, but we really don't mind waiting since the place is relatively small. I definitely recommend! read more

My first introduction to pho and I will return here for more. This is a very informal place with only a few tables. I had the pho brisket and it was very flavorful with a generous portion of fresh herbs that complimented it well. It was filling and there is enough for leftovers. Others in my group had spring rolls and Banh Mi. Everyone seemed to enjoy their meals. There are many interesting authentic drinks on the menu (non alcoholic). It was hard to pass on them during this visit. I will need to come back another time to try them. read more

I love the banh mi's here. My nail girl prefers Q Cup because their bread is softer, but I prefer this locations banh mi, one of the reasons being I like the more French baguette texture of the bread here. Their flavors are amazing. I like to add extra jalapeño to my banh mi's. I often get the combo special, but I've also tried various versions of their beef offerings. Their spring rolls are also super delicious! Their teas / drinks are good and so are their pastries inside. Good with delivery and going in, I also love that they have a drive thru. The veggies are super fresh and the jalapeños give a nice kick to the marinated beef. It's a great 50:50 mix of meat and veggies all within warm bread. They advertise the boba as the best in town. It's really nice, having a good bahn mi place close by. My go to here is the special combination. It is a nice blend of meats and picked vegetables. My pescatarian daughter appreciates their vegan special. I like that their fresh baked rolls are longer and thinner than regular bahn mi rolls. It makes it easier to eat for those of us with small mouths. lol. The fresh spring rolls are nice with crisp, refreshing vegetables. I even introduced these to someone for their first time trying fresh spring rolls and bahn mi. Both were winners. Their drinks are just okay. I wouldn't go out of my way to come here for just the bobas, but would pick one up to go along with the sandwich. There's not much by way of seating if you want to eat in.
