Awesome restaurant although its in a somewhat dead strip mall... but figured this would mean the food is amazing, and it didn't disappoint. We stopped by for takeout on a Sunday night, and the host behind the counter was nothing but sweet. We tried a red curry with veggies and a jungle curry with chicken, and both were very tasty. The jungle curry almost reminded me of a soup, with clear flavorful broth and lots of veggies. The spice was just right at a level 4, cleared the sinuses without making me cry - ideal haha. Anyway, ambiance of the place is nice but no one was there on a Sunday night, but a great spot for takeout. Thankfully not too far from home. Can't wait to try out more! read more

And they've added a tv that was blaring loud music not at all in keeping with the character of the place that we loved. Can't rate the food today since we never got served. I have been getting takeout from here semi-regularly over the past few years and it has never once missed! The portions are a great size, the staff is always incredibly friendly, and - if I'm not mistaken - I think they grow their own herbs out back! I've never seen more than 1-2 parties dining in when I pop in to pick up my order, which makes me sad. I tell all my friends about this place and pray they never close their doors! I recall this used to be a barbecue restaurant called Cattle Butts. In January of this year I decided to go here for lunch. The food was excellent. The service was also very good. The restaurant is very spacious as well. I had no issues with parking as I went on a Saturday and there was only two ther folks at this restaurant as well. The restrooms are small, but kept clean. I decided to order an appetizer, which, consisted of chicken satay that came with pickeled onion dipping sauce and peanut sauce. I did care to much for that onion sauce, but I did love that peanut sauce. For my main dish I decided to order white rice and thai chicken garlic. The rice was steamed very well. The chicken was very tender and flavorful and it paired very well with the fried garlic on top of it. I will return here again. read more

In this area with my youngest and my sister, and we were all hungry so opted to try this spot that was new to all of us. I wish I could say we loved it, but that was jut not the case. First, they had a large birthday party there, and people were standing around in the main area, so it was hard to get seated. Not a negative, but just an observation. We stood for probably 5 minutes before finally catching someone's eye to let them know we'd like to have a seat. We were asked for our drink order as we were begin seated and they were brought out quickly, although not completely correct. It took quite some time before we were again visited by anyone to take our order, but when they did come, they answered our questions politely, and we placed an order for two appetizers, Pad Thai, Pho, and a Salmon Curry. All dinners are served with a soup as well. Our soups came out a little bit later. They were tasty, but room temp. I think it would have been better a bit warmer, but again, that's a preference, not a complaint unless they really were meant to be hot. We waited quite a bit, and then our entrees came out. We never received our appetizers. When we mentioned it he said he forgot, and would get them, but we asked not to receive them as now we had our entrees and didn't want them after the meal. I had paid an extra $2 for shrimp on my Pad Thai. The shrimp were unfortunately very overcooked, to the point of being tough. I had asked for heat level 2, and it was the right amount for the dish. The noodles were cooked well, and it had a good flavor. Could have had just a tad more sauciness to it, as it is a bit dry, but it didn't make it any less enjoyable. My daughter ordered the Pho with a heat level of 3. She said it tasted sweet and had no heat to it at all. We were able to ask about this, and they brought her out chili oil, chili flakes, and we believe Sirachi - although it was unlabeled and they didn't tell us what it was. She added a little bit of this and that to the soup and said it did taste better. She had asked for beef, and there was a little there, but she said there was also another meat she was unsure about too. My sister's had the Salmon Curry. Alas the salmon was way overcooked, similar to the shrimp. She said the Curry sauce was amazing though, and she really enjoyed that. All in all an okay experience. We probably won't return though as the whole night was off. Service wise, food wise both. When the bill came it still had the appetizers on there, and the person taking our payment wasn't our server so we had to explain why we shouldn't be charged and that took some time as she had to call over our server to verify. read more

First time here. Live 5 mins away. My family and I love Thai. We like to order some apps and soup to see if we will like it. The place was clean and the lady that took our order was friendly and helpful. We did a take out order for Tom Yum soup and Tom Kha soup. We got one a level 2 spice and the other a level 3 spice. The spice level on spot on. Very good but very spicy, so just know your spice level. We loved the soups, but were disappointed there wasn't any kaffir leaves. We also ordered the beef and chicken lumpia and chicken satay. The lumpia were half the size of regular lumpia. The beef was good, the chicken was ok. I would not go after these again. The chicken satay was good and juicy. Usually they are flavorful but dry, so we enjoyed these. Also came with a sweet and very good cucumber salad. As the only Thai restaurant open on a SUNDAY within a 10 mile radius of me, it automatically receives 3 stars by default. Not to mention the fact that they are open during Covid-19; this adds another bonus star simply because of my heightened gratitude - emergency Thai food craving is very serious. Jokes aside, I marvel at the extent to how clean this place is maintained. Social distancing was enforced. Masks required upon entry. We were seated so far from other patrons, it made me feel more comfortable bringing my children. As far the the service goes, a group of us (4 adults plus 2 kids) we were met with a friendly smile. Our server, whose name I regret not asking, was extremely pleasant. We received our orders in a timely manner, drinks were topped off without us asking, and extra spices were graciously provided as our group was embarrassingly undecided on our spice level preferences. Our waiter was extremely patient and somewhat amused with us changing our spice level from 3 to 2 to 1 to ZERO aka no spice (don't judge if you've never had heartburn!) The food is nothing too extraordinary. My biggest excitement comes from the kids menu. For $5 I received what seemed like a grown up sized portion of pad thai and shrimp fried rice. I had a major craving for some tasty Thai so I decided to stop on my way home to grab to-go from this little place. I've heard great things but never took the time to stop. Idk why. Dumb mistake tho. But no really - I was pleasantly surprised when I ordered just a side of fried rice and the lady asked me which spice level I wanted (between 1-4). I've never been asked for just a side. So out of my excitement I may have gotten a little too BIG FOR MY BRITCHES) and said 3. Which is kind of my go-go at other Thai restaurants anyway and I manage just fine. Here though, a 3 means like 300% spicy! LOL. I'm not even mad though. I literally could not put my fork down. It was so tasty. And the crab goons! Quite delicious. I only have small complaints, but I have a lot of them. Enough that this only barely survives 4 stars. I ordered Pepsi, and it seemed flat for some reason. The TVs were playing Spongebob Squarepants, and when I walked in, it was the beginning of episode 211 season 10. He needed to make crabby patties really fast (people love crabby patties). But then, the magic trident got mad and the burgers started attacking all the customers. The curry puffs were good. They had a nice crispy then soft texture. However, I don't think this generic sweet sauce is a good fit. I think they're better with something green, like a cucumber sauce. Or at least a sweet chili sauce rather than a clear sauce. Or even something a little cheesy. I ordered the pad gaprao. The dish had a nice strong flavor that begs for the rice. Additionally, I ordered it 3 stars and was pleasantly surprised by the amount of heat. But I feel like the onions and green peppers were a tad overpowering, to the point where they started inhibiting the umami of the meat and the herbs. Just based on the ingredients they had, I might go with a little less bell pepper and more basil. More eggplant too, but just because I can never have too much eggplant. Lol The rice was served on a separate very flat plate in one clump. *sigh* This again. Do Americans really want their Thai food served like this? How horrible. I immediately dumped all my rice into the other plate. At this point, I realized that I ordered an egg, but didn't have an egg. The waitress also noticed at almost exactly the same time and goes, "Wait, you ordered an egg, didn't you? Sorry about that." I got the egg in another plate. Afterwards, I noted that the menu says this is an over easy egg. Uuumm, I assume they know what over-easy means, but I guess they might as well call it a fried egg in the menu to make it easier. I mean, if we start arguing semantics, I guess the yolk was still sorta runny, but uuuhhh just look at it. Hmmm, I was literally the only customer in the restaurant when I got there. Even so, it doesn't bother me so much that they forgot the egg as much as the fact that it's $2 extra and they can forget so easily. Come on guys, you can do a lot with that egg. In addition to cutting the egg so that the yolk covers the stuff underneath, you can also use the egg as a blanket to cover the umami and prevent heat from escaping, especially if this was served in a bowl. Or you can make scrambled eggs and mix it into the dish. You can even put the egg (or a second egg) underneath to soak up juices. There wasn't much juice in this pad gaprao though. How have I not eaten Thai since moving to Jax? One- because of a wicked food allergy that eliminates most of the menu. BUT~ I enjoy the ambiance of most Thai restaurants. I've experienced elevated dining experiences over the years. The Thai Blossom Bistro had some of those element too. The dining room set to be inviting and a touch of class. I loved the pillows in the booths, the wine glass center pieces with a napkin folded inside and the intricacy of the face of the menus. They have a beer and wine bar and when our server went to take our drink menu I had a momentary glitch where I simply went blank. Server to the rescue! He suggested Thai tea, along with other items- but his first suggestion stuck. I enjoy tea- lets go for that. Unknowing of what Thai tea was- when it arrived to the table, a rich auburn looking drink with a cloud of milk on top. This was a first! I liked it- it took a few sips before I got used to the different flavors- but it was very tasty! Even John was surprised by the flavors. We ordered an appetizer of lumpia- which was delicious, but John didn't care for the dipping sauce. Next up- dinner. John ordered this peanut, mixed veggie, chicken dish which had and he ate every single bite. Obviously very happy with his meal. I played it safe and ordered Thai fried rice with shrimp. Our meals came with soup, unfortunately I surrendered mine to John, chili oil in the soup meant a no-go (that's right- allergy to peppers). It had cilantro and smelled very savory and John happily ate both bowls. My rice was great! Several large shrimp throughout the rice. I was a little sad they didn't offer sushi at this time, but overall I enjoyed our dining experience very much. It offers an intimacy in dining that you just don't get in other places. I said to my daughter.."let's get Thai tonight" and she said let order to go; perfect. It is in a small strip mall, not a lot of tables inside but all seemed to be friendly. We ordered pad Thai with chicken and tofu and 2out of 4 in heat spice. When I ran in to get the two dinners I was amazed at the heft of the dinners! Big orders...not that I'm complaining. When I opened it...it was brown; lot of brown! A little cabbage was shredded to the side with a hunk of lime and spoonful of crushed nuts under the corner foil. I think I'm used to more veggies in my pad thai like bean sprouts and scallions. Now onto flavor...had a kick to it and I liked it. When I checked about 15 minutes later the delivery time jumped to two hours and 30 minutes. Of course I called to cancel my order but ended up having to wait on hold on the phone for an additional 10 mins. By the time I got an answer they said the driver was already picking up my food. Ended up waiting only the initial 45 mins. I ordered three things first app was the red curry. Now I know curry, I've been to Thailand I have family members who are thai so I've grown up eating it. I ordered medium spice but instead what I got was a sweet curry. Nothing like anything I've ordered before and nothing like what I'll get again. The sweetness prob came from the pineapples but I would not recommend this if you want good curry. Next up was the drunken noodles. I would say the flavor was not bad but the noodles all seem to be broken up in small pieces. It sporadically had random eggplant and green beans throughout the dish. Again I've definitely had better. Flavorful food and friendly atmosphere. The chicken drunken noodle lunch was good but I found the spice level to be a little weaker than I'm accustomed to. I typically ask for the hottest plus 1 as a reference - bring on the Thai hot! #BringThePain I asked the waitress about it and she informed me the normal chef (grandma) was on a visit to Thailand. She said that grandma would probably hit my spice level a little more successfully so I'll have to come back in a month or so to confirm. So after I was done with an event, I wanted to try a new restaurant, so I pulled out my trusty Yelp app and looked at restaurants close to us. My friend pointed out Thai Blossom Bistro. The reviews were good, so I said why not. The location is on Atlantic Blvd in a shopping plaza. If you're weren't looking for the place you'd probably miss it. It was dark when we got there and the sign does not illuminate, so it was a little hard to find initially. When we got in, it was pretty slow, but we still decided to try the place. They had a nice bar area with variety of drinks. That was pretty good, but my focus was on the food. Lately, I have really been getting into curry, so I decided to try the crispy duck with red curry. My friend got the green curry. I also ordered the curry puffs as well. When the food came out it was so much. I tried the curry puff first. The curry puff had chicken and sweet potatoes in a delicious fried triangular shell. So delicious and hot. The crispy duck in red curry was perfect. The duck was cooked perfect and so moist. I picked a spice level of 2 out of 4 (4 being the hottest). My level 2 spice was still a good amount of heat. I don't think I could stand a heat level higher than 2, but if you like spice, they have those options. My friend's green curry was also amazing. The whole meal was just great. We weren't greeted for several minutes and our to-go order sat for 10 minutes before she realized it was ours. The Thai coffee was great, but it took awhile to be made and we weren't given a straw after asking. We ordered an item to go and were disappointed by the price and the lack of the item. We even asked how much sauce we would get and definitely did not receive that. When one of our group went back to ask for an appropriate amount of sauce like they told us, she was given a visual demonstration of how that was correct. I've noticed a lot of Thai restaurant in jax serve their pad Thai with the scrambled egg on top, almost like it was an after thought. Lacked flavor and doesn't fit with the pad Thai made that way. I phoned in our order and after a short drive we picked up our weekend Thai takeout. We ordered too much but it was nice to have leftovers aka lunch for the next day. Chicken lumpias were crispy and flavorful. Both served with sweet & sour sauce - my fav. The chicken pad Thai was good. On the drier side which hubby particularly liked. We chose level 1 heat, good flavor, not too spicy and a huge portion. The wonton soup was very good as was the chicken and rice soup. The broth in both soups was simple and delicious. I really liked that you could choose chicken filled wontons, a nice change from pork. Lastly, the yellow curry with chicken, spice level 2. They make an awesome curry. Loads of flavor, plenty of chicken and veggies, served perfectly over white rice. Level 2 spice was noticeable but not overwhelming. Overall, very good food especially for take out. I stopped in when my car needed some routine service and was told the wait for my car could easily be 2 hours with appointment! So I did not come in very happy. My mood totally changed after this delicious meal! The waitress was quick and helpful, not overly involved and always there when I wanted or needed something. The pho is delicious and deep in flavor. Other places serve a light fresh broth and this broth is deep and rich with a fair amount of oil/fat. The result was an inability to finish the portion. Next time I'll bring a friend to split it or request less noodles. I went with spice level 0 with the spice tray on the side after talking with the waitress about how spicy a 1 or 2 would mean. There's plenty of flavor whether you use the chili, chili oil, siracha style sauce or nothing at all. The beef pho had shaved beef as well as a cut I'd describe as close to brisket. This location is on a very busy section of Atlantic Blvd where there's no light to exit and only a right turn going East. If you're going West, you'll have to drive to the next light to make a u-turn. I ordered Drunken Noodles with shrimp, Wonton Soup with pork, Salad Rolls with Shrimp, & Tom Kha Gai made with chicken and coconut milk. It took about 30 minutes for my 'to go' order. The drunken noodles were tasty but only came with 4 shrimp and there was a up charge for the shrimp. The wontons in the Wonton soup were tasty, if not a little tough and chewy. The broth was bland with no real flavor. The salad rolls (2 in an order) were very good, and doubly so with the nut sauce that's included! The Tom Kha Gai was excellent! If I had only purchased this soup I would have given 5-Stars. But, when there's an up charge on 4 shrimp and the wontons are tough and chewy, then they are skimping on the meat used for these dishes. I know I should be getting used to the crazy inflation but at nearly $15 for essentially noodles I wouldn't buy it again. I also wouldn't order the wonton soup again, I've had bottled water with more flavor. I would rate the Wonton soup a 3. I imagine if I ordered pork in the drunken noodles, there would have been ample meet to satisfy without an up charge. I rate the drunken noodles at a 4. The Tom Kha Gai and Salad Rolls were very good. I rate them both at a 5. The restaurant was very clean and it was well lit, which is often missing in many Asian restaurants. The location is a nightmare getting in and out, but the staff were very pleasant and helpful. They do not have delivery, you would need to utilize DoorDash or UberEats and hope the food wasn't completely cold by the time it's delivered. I give the restaurant a 3 and I would not recommend this restaurant. Not because of the food, but because of all the other things. There's nothing special here to merit a higher rating. It doesn't pay to be stingy when eating out is a luxury in our current financial environment. Since I couldn't find the time to stop by and check the place out, I decided to order takeout from BiteSquad (they merged with Doorstep Delivery). I really didn't want anything heavy and I remembered a friend saying she judges all Thai restaurants from the quality of their soup so I thought I'd give that ideology a try. I've already tried Tom Yum and loved it so I decided to be adventurous and try something new. I ordered the Poh Taek, a sour spicy soup which comes with a choice of meat, tomatoes, mushrooms, lemon grass, lime leaves, lime juice, basil leaves, galangal (had to google this, it's a spice that resembles ginger a bit) and cilantro. I chose seafood as the meat because why not? I was a little concerned about it being sour but I through that negativity out the window and waited for it to arrive. I got it ahead of time and couldn't wait to eat it. It was amazing! There was a hint of a sour taste to it but not overpowering. I enjoyed this more than my previous taste of Tom Yum. I can dig it. That's when regret kicked in and I was sad that I didn't order more. But now that's more of a reason to return ;) read more

In the corner of this non-description shopping center that already has two other unique restaurants, Sushi and Wok, and Ariana Kabob and Grill comes this new powerhouse of Thai flavor. Replacing a long standing and popular BBQ joint, the transformation has been ethereal. So while the outside looks somewhat beatdown, I can assure you the interior is well apportioned and perfect for a date night or special dinner. We have gotten both take out and dine in and both have been great experiences. Service is prompt and friendly and the food is fabulous. Curry Puffs - little bits of magic flavor that melt in your mouth. TRY THIS and you will thank me later. Sweet and Sour Chicken - easily one of our favorites and not the syrupy sweet version you have had a Chinese venues. This is robust in flavor, balanced with sweet and succulent Sour and worth the trip. Another TRY THIS. Drunken Noodles - one of my traditional favorites and this version is a solid choice. Pad Kra Pow - sadly a big disappointment for me, well prepared but way too salty with a lot of heat when ordered "mild". Pad Thai - my kids love Pad Thai and the versions of both steak and chicken disappeared so quickly I did not get to try them. Thai Fried Rice - got a picky eater in the group? This will satisfy most anyone and is really delightful. The interior of the restaurant is clean and decorated in traditional Thai fabrics and paintings.
